I'll be disappointed if Brodie is not a terrorist. Who says they couldn't have turned both POWs?

I think brodie not being a terrorist is awesome and i hope it's true.Saul being a mole would be cheap as fuck. Why would he legitimately converse with aileen so much
11/15/2011 1:26:23 AM
i'm completely perplexed as to what brodie's true intentions are...i guess his 6 years of being tortured and interrogated trump my TV hunchesbut i no longer think theres cred to saul being anything but someone who works for usa #1seems like if he was down with the brown his 30 hour car ride with aileen wouldve gone different conversation-wise
11/15/2011 2:18:08 AM
okay so i'm an asshole, they totally tricked me.
11/15/2011 2:38:39 AM
11/15/2011 2:47:45 AM
^ you'd have to drop the brodie character though. which would be fine... but would they do it?[Edited on November 15, 2011 at 2:53 AM. Reason : makes me think of bodie. rip bodie ]
11/15/2011 2:52:50 AM
They wouldn't necessarily have to drop brodie. If my scenario 1 happened along with brodie not being in on it OR willing to cooperate if he is in on it, then season 2 could have brodie helping the CIA take down the man he "loved." Or that could happen this season.
11/15/2011 3:04:23 AM
yeah, but that scenario being dragged into a second season would be stupid and ruin the show.]
11/15/2011 11:32:57 AM
^agreed. If they keep playing the "Damian Lewis knows more than he lets on" card it's going to be terrible. I think there's a strong chance they drop Damian Lewis and Morena Baccarin after the first season, and the second season is just Claire Daines: Terrorist Hunter.
11/15/2011 12:52:36 PM
what, i would love to have a show where the villain actually achieves major victories over the hero occasionally and isn't tidily brought to justice at the end of each season.
11/15/2011 1:46:44 PM
See the thing is I don't see what else Brodie has that could help Claire Daines. Maybe he's still not telling her everything, but if that's the road they go down then that will be pretty fucking annoying, and would totally undercut how awesome the last episode was. You can only pull the rug out from under people so many times before everyone stops giving a shit about any of the characters.[Edited on November 15, 2011 at 2:16 PM. Reason : .]
11/15/2011 2:13:20 PM
I'm pretty sure ^^ is exactly whats going to happen. The Brody as a politician storyline is gaining some traction, I have a feeling Brody really is in it for the long game. He will help catch Tom, be considered a hero, end up as a politician and the season will end with him being revealed as a terrorist to the audience.
11/15/2011 2:19:05 PM
ya, one of the upcoming episodes is titled "Representative Brody", he's definitely going the political route
11/15/2011 2:39:56 PM
^should probably contain spoiler warning
11/15/2011 2:47:07 PM
Honestly I'm surprised at how many people think Brody actually isn't turned. If the whole point of the show is "IS HE A TERRORIST" why would they end that storyline by the 6th episode.
11/15/2011 2:49:55 PM
^^maybe, I just assume everyone else reads wikipedia too[Edited on November 15, 2011 at 5:18 PM. Reason : .]
11/15/2011 5:16:53 PM
I would assumed everyone picked up the blatant foreshadowing of him running along and then stopping to stare at the Capitol building for about 30 seconds and the episode ending.
11/15/2011 5:59:14 PM
Yeah but that was back when they wanted us to think hes a terrorist. I think the rest of the season pushes him as a good guy, gaining more traction and power.
11/15/2011 6:47:55 PM
and the VP's aide or whatever saying that they want to groom him for office
11/15/2011 6:59:34 PM
There is no doubt he is a terrorist because the show would be dramatically stupid if he weren't. Only stupid people want to see the good guys crush the bad guys with little threat of defeat. The razor blade should be the flashing billboard sign that tells you he is on their side.[Edited on November 15, 2011 at 9:47 PM. 11/15/2011 9:46:00 PM
what if he isn't a terrorist now, but all the betrayal he's gone through since he's gotten back turns him toward becoming one(wife cheating on him w/ his best friend, Carrie using him, etc)
11/15/2011 9:47:18 PM
^ I don't think thats likely. My only hope is that it isn't a scenario where he has been turned but not activated, and someone will call him and say a secret word and poof, hes a terrorist. I want him to have been bad all along.
11/16/2011 6:41:28 AM
Brodie, Carrie, and Saul are unable to catch Tom Walker in time. They, for future seasons, are then tasked to form their own branch. the Counter Terrorism Unitduh duh duh!!!!!!!!!!!]

lol...congressman Richard Johnson.
11/20/2011 10:31:44 PM
In that last scene at the diplomat's house, did Brody say something like "I'm not working for Abu Nazir any more! It's over!"? I couldn't make out what the diplomat said right after Brody choked him

beware: my comments relate directly to the most recent episode so if you havent seen it, skip my post because i'll spoil parts in my commentsafter last nights episode im still thinking brody IS a terrorist (he already proved he can beat the box and obvi lied ab passing the razor blade)and he really did think he killed his best friend so my prediction is that they were going to have the "dead" best friend commit the act of terrorism (take down M1 as we're being led to believe) and pin it on brodyi was shocked as shit that claire danes showed all her cards to brody... shocked. i wonder how that relationship develops & i hope she doesn't ease up her suspicions with that said, i think claire danes is awesome in the show. i love her character & how she plays her. i was thrown off though that her sister mentioned her being out of pills while she was at the lake house but we didn't see any big blow out.i also wondered why, during the dead best friends funeral, the one dudes crutches fell into the aisle. i mean, we later see him call brody out on being a fake but why did his crutches interrupt his eulogy?

In all honesty I'm surprised at how quickly they revealed Brody was still a terrorist. I figured they would drag it out a few episodes at least.
11/21/2011 7:26:54 PM
There is nothing to drag out because only stupid people thought he wasn't a terrorist.
11/22/2011 12:00:27 AM
^ they could've faked me out easily w/ the politician angle, which would've been a far worse twist.
11/22/2011 1:03:58 AM
What do you mean "still a terrorist," he said he's done.
11/22/2011 1:21:56 AM
How can this show last another season if Brody is a terrorist? They'd have to cut half the cast. I can't see them dragging this on into Season 2. Perhaps he turns again and starts working for the CIA?[Edited on November 22, 2011 at 6:17 PM. Reason : asdf]
11/22/2011 6:17:02 PM
It is clearly being set up so that Clarie Danes believes he is innocent but we still know he is bad. The Tom Walker storyline will be dragged out till the finale and at some point Claire Danes will realize he is still turned.
11/22/2011 8:42:19 PM
His being turned doesn't necessarily make him still "bad"[Edited on November 22, 2011 at 10:18 PM. Reason : .]

do they have a sauerkraut and bacon dog?

This show gets worse and worse
11/28/2011 11:48:44 AM
Yeah this was probably the worst episode
11/28/2011 4:28:19 PM
The flashbacks are so bad they remind me of Highlander.
11/28/2011 4:30:11 PM
spoilers from the 11/27 episode.....so Abu Nazir tortures Brody for a while (5 years?) and then becomes his savior and lets him tutor the kid. kid dies in a bomb blast and causes Brody to flip. although it could just be coincidence, any chance that abu nazir blew up his own kid in order to turn Brody? it certainly would fit the narrative for keeping Brody around if he planned to turn him all along
11/28/2011 6:11:45 PM
there was a US press conference with the vice president talking about how it was a US strike, so i doubt Abu Nazir had any hand in that
11/28/2011 6:13:18 PM
lol I'll admit that's the first thing I thought too but I dunno man that's pretty ruthless and I wrote it off as being too far fetched.^Yeah and then that happened. I immediately remembered his interaction with the VP when he landed though. "Here I was shaking this man's hand and I didn't even know his name!" or w/e [Edited on November 28, 2011 at 6:17 PM.
