well then, if the company can't increase it's value, it should learn to live without iPhones, new cars, videogames, and cable tv. And the company should marry another company to double its yearly profits.

The issue here is not whether the company makes money. The issue is the army of the permanently unemployed starving to death in the streets due to the above market union wages. Forget iPhones, they won't have food.

I think it's pretty clear that these companies are in no position to be having children they can't afford. The problem obviously is one of mismanaging their finances. Companies should look for ways to reduce their costs. For example, by switching to two-company households, companies can increase their revenues. They can also do other things, such as switching to single-ply toilet paper, eating generic brand cereal, and taking the bus to work.Sure, it may be inconvenient, but hey, life isn't fair, and we can't all be top 500 companies.
