HP rep on Twitter said they were all sold out, but they have more coming.
8/20/2011 8:03:51 PM
wonder if he's referring to the ones for home versus small business
8/20/2011 8:06:07 PM
can anyone buy via the small business route?for i do not have a small business
8/20/2011 8:09:03 PM
why notyou're getting it to use at your small business Nike]
8/20/2011 8:11:38 PM
didnt find it prudent at this juncturekeep getting that same error on glorious OPERA, tree
8/20/2011 8:12:29 PM
i said F5 the errors, i didnt say Opera will magically have no errors]
8/20/2011 8:14:07 PM
sorryF5ing the errors yields more errors
8/20/2011 8:14:47 PM
i fucked around with this for like 6 hours today before i finally got one orderedi'm well aware of your frustration
8/20/2011 8:15:31 PM
most frustrating thing tonight was going to hhgregg a little bit ago and they said they were selling them for the low price this morning, while their website's said the high price all day
8/20/2011 8:16:27 PM
it will all be worth it in a week when you're wondering why the hell you bought this thing
8/20/2011 8:17:51 PM
i honestly dont think ill be able to get oneunless amazon ever wakes up or i can go to macmall on monday, according to someone on twitteri wish HP didnt shut off their phones at 6pm, that guy said they just sold 350,000..dont know if that's total or after they got more in[Edited on August 20, 2011 at 8:21 PM. when i called them last night shortly after midnight, they acted like they were all sold out if you went to the home/home business option, even though they were still open...if you went to small business it basically said "your call is important to us, but we're experiencing a high volume of calls, so try again later"they're just dumb...largest manufacturer of PCs getting out of the market, selling all their toughpad inventory for cheap, and losing money all day today because their website problems werent limited to buying touchpads, you couldnt buy a laptop or printer or anything else without getting the same errors]
8/20/2011 8:23:29 PM
the error F5ing got me all the way to shipping ... fuckers want to charger $38 for the most generic shipping]
8/20/2011 8:28:53 PM
yeah i got overnight FedEx shipping for less than $10 for a single 32GB
8/20/2011 8:31:26 PM
This thread proves my theory that there is a fucking huge market for a $99 tablet.
8/20/2011 8:31:32 PM
good thing I missed this, I've bought enough dumb tech shit in the last few days already
8/20/2011 8:32:00 PM
i think it's because small businesses can afford $texas shipping charges
8/20/2011 8:33:00 PM
i shoulda screencapped the shipping options for my order...the most expensive one was less than $20i wonder if the price discrepancy is because there are more 32GB devices or because they know they're selling them all over the place so they're anticipating having to ship orders of more than 1 from different warehouses]
8/20/2011 8:35:35 PM
amazon is my best option because i got that prime membership
8/20/2011 8:39:34 PM
Holy crap, that Opera trick actually worked. Now lets see if I get two since I don't think the original order went through
8/20/2011 8:40:13 PM
what did it give as your shipping options?
8/20/2011 8:42:59 PM
$21.87 for standard shipping which is weird because when I tried to order it the first time shipping was free. When I checked the order status it says mine is being processed where the original shows that the order was unable to be processed. Hopefully I get one of them, I still consider $130 a solid deal for one of these if I can actually get it.
8/20/2011 8:46:16 PM
well then the 32GB option must be cheaper shipping across the board, unless I just got lucky
8/20/2011 8:53:17 PM
maybe the shipping was nearly $40 because im tryna get 2
8/20/2011 9:10:46 PM
yeah but if standard shipping on my single 32GB order was less than $5, and standard shipping on skywalker's single 16GB order was over $20, i think 32GB have cheaper shipping
8/20/2011 9:20:18 PM
just got my shipping notice, will be here on tuesday and i plan on overclocking to 1.5ghz
8/20/2011 9:20:33 PM
hmm opera still isnt working for me
8/20/2011 9:33:19 PM
I just F5'd about 100 times between the billing address info to get back to the shipping choice
8/20/2011 9:36:00 PM
am i missing something where it's available on amazon?trying the opera trick now.
8/20/2011 9:41:41 PM
i wonder how many more people have downloaded Opera today than in previous days
8/20/2011 9:43:08 PM
now between the "Continue/Submit" link ... if you refresh that many times, it wont place that many orders will it w00t ... "Your order has been submitted for processing and will be reviewed by a credit representative. If necessary, the credit representative will contact you to verify or obtain additional information."gg opera trick, although you were nerve-racking ... now for the people to contact me saving it was all for nothing, and that i wont be getting tablets, but they will charge me anyway[Edited on August 20, 2011 at 9:51 PM. 8/20/2011 10:44:07 PM
8/20/2011 10:46:02 PM
shipping is 38.44 for two fo the 16gb models
8/20/2011 10:47:01 PM
patience grasshoppers, try to resist the urge to F5 everytime you get an hourglass on the right side of the URL bar because that means you've sent a request to the server and its workingbut feel free to F5 anytime you get either an HTTP error or VBScript out of memory error
8/20/2011 10:48:13 PM
that's the same shipping cost i had for two 16gb's, catalyst ... glad to see someone else got that figureactually, i did a frantic F5 a few times and it made it go through ... it was like an M16 3-burst F5-press[Edited on August 20, 2011 at 10:50 PM. Reason : ]
8/20/2011 10:49:25 PM
made it to confirmation pagetotal was 252.40 including tax and ship for two 16gb'si'm going to be kicking myself if these show up on amazon with no tax/free shipping
8/20/2011 10:52:57 PM

8/20/2011 10:54:38 PM

8/20/2011 10:56:20 PM
its not even 11pm yet? all this shitshopping took a toll on me, me eyes were sore about halfway through the process before i took a food break
8/20/2011 10:58:51 PM
So I haven't gotten to a confirmation page yet (still loading in opera) but my card has been charged. Did I win?
8/21/2011 12:02:17 AM

8/21/2011 1:24:36 AM
F5 thatand better yet, try using Opera browser
8/21/2011 1:26:17 AM
id feel a lot better about this if i didnt pay nearly $40 for shipping for twoi guess it's still a good deal, even with $15 tax
8/21/2011 1:27:38 AM
amazon's going to come through for me in a few hours man, i know it.
8/21/2011 2:18:19 AM
You would think HP would have beefier server architecture running their online store... they are failing on all fronts.
8/21/2011 4:00:53 AM
when would they normally expect this type of bandwidth though? definitely their fault, but not necessarily something they could've completely anticipated.
8/21/2011 5:04:07 AM
now it looks like best buy is price matchingwould have been nice to have known this yesterday
