at some point in time i'd like to have a db7 with the v12 and a 6 speed, they can be had for about 40k now... and since the engine is just a ford motor and a half... i think good rods, pistons, injectors and turbos and maybe an SCI programer (right ford engine so ford ecu should work??)would make one hell of a car.

yeah... i mean if it looked EXACTLY like the real thing... i'd want one.. but it looks like the old one with the mumps and then it weighs about twice as much as i'd like my fast car to weigh.

you guys.... not everyone wants an M3 Lancer Sx7TiI'd rock one with the right exhaust setup!

is fugly TOOO THICK!!! If they'd rip off the original's lines in the rear it would look damned good. This is how its done.i'm really thinking about this though.....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-MERCEDES-BENZ-S600-V12-TWIN-TURBO-LOW-MILES-CLEAN-CARFAX-DEALER-SERVICED-/220863301070?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item336c7a85ce20k for a twin turbo v12........ really? it has to be some safety bumper height bullshit that made them do it...It just looks like someone took what it should have looked like and then put a bed-skirt on it.
10/13/2011 8:39:22 AM
I like the Foose concept where they take old cars and update the drivetrain and internalsfuck these re-made updated safety mobiles

I really want to buy a Cadillac CTS-V, but I have to save up a shit ton of money so I don't have a ridiculous car payment or I need to win the lottery. :-/ My trade in won't garner that much money. Probably ~$5K.

Hmm.... looks like they still put some serious stopping power on the scion FR-S (formerly ft-86)
10/14/2011 9:10:32 AM
That's how the car is set up for a Nurburgring enduro this weekend, but I'm very hopeful about those brakes being carried over. I'm getting tired of burning through pads with my floating caliper single piston set up. If this car has monoblock multipiston front calipers i'll be ecstatic.I still think this car will disappoint me when it's final specs are revealed in a month or so...
10/14/2011 9:35:43 AM
I agree.... I'm hoping subaru does an sti version regardless of 'yota's plans. I really think that after they put it under the scion name that it will be cheap and anemic like the rest of the scion line. Unless they make a high performance shop or brand label for scion.TRD? or something??
10/14/2011 12:27:09 PM
I dunno about the anemic part...well I suppose it depends on your definition. It's all but certain that the "base" engine will have a 2.0 NA 200 hp engine. The big mystery is how much weight does that 200 hp have to carry around? Recent reports put that weight at 1155 kg, or roughly 2600 lbs. Given that the tire width appears to be 215 perhaps there's actually hope for that weight target. In which case, the power to weight ratio is not that bad. Nonetheless I have my fingers crossed on TRD releasing a dealer-installed supercharger kit that boosts power to around 300, while retains the factory warranty.FYI in this Nuburgring race it is in a "mostly stock" class competing against cars like the Civic Type R and S2000.I also think it's all but certain that the Subaru version will have a turbocharged option at some point[Edited on October 14, 2011 at 3:25 PM. I wonder just how cheap an R35 GTR will get in 5 more years. So i drove a ECOboost f150 the other day (my friend's construction company got them as their new construction truck because it says ECO in the name so the marketing works) All i have to say is HOLY SHIT! that is seriously the fastest dead stock truck i've ever been in... including an f150 lighting.

10/20/2011 11:53:53 AM
really like the CTS-V!! the only thing i don't like is the gas mileage. 14 city and 23 hwy is shit!!
10/20/2011 1:25:09 PM
335i hands downthe CTS-V will top that hwy mileage no problem in the real world.
10/20/2011 2:03:30 PM
yeah but it will most be driven in the cityi love love love the BMW. I think mainly because i'm biased, but it's slightly under powered compared to the rest of the lot. plus HPFP and other maintenance issues haunt me. it's the sexiest though.
10/20/2011 4:04:54 PM
Underpowered? It's faster than every car you listed except the CTS-V, and around a road course it would probably be very close.
10/20/2011 4:19:16 PM
damn you are right. that makes me happy!!

I'm at a point where i'm having trouble deciding to drop more money into the 'roo or to move on to another... bigger project. If i keep spending money on the thing i'll not get it back... however if i get say a '67 mustang or a '63 fairlane... i may just recoup my losses.[Edited on October 26, 2011 at 8:07 AM. Reason : .]

don't you put an insane amount of miles on your Legacy? If you drive a ton it won't really matter what car it is if the mileage is super high.
10/26/2011 12:18:08 PM
lol yeah i'm thinking its time to get that car in addition to my dd.i know the lgt is gonna be worth diddly when i'm done with it. but i was thinking about going sti trans and some other things... that i could probably buy another project car for cheaper then the mods would be.

2013 Shelby gt500 has 650hp and can hit 200 mph.

I heard about that this morning. They claim it's the most powerful V8 engine in a production vehicle. I think Shelby SuperSport and Koenigsegg beg to differ.
