That's not an apt analogy.More like the fastest person on one leg.Duh guys I know it is not coming to the us, it hasn't for a long time. It has been a Europe only car for a while. I think the type r is also in Canada, but it is the North American civic, not the European civic. Here is another nice hondurr not coming the us. At least I like it.

Not that I looked at the demand research or anything.. but there are definitely more offerings on the market already in the RWD coupe with the largish trunk category than in the lightweight RWD roadster category. Plus, Honda already has a couple of coupes, but no roadster (some customers honestly don't care about the minor FTD/RWD difference thingy). When a customer on a showroom foor expresses interest in one, they have to send them to a used car lot or a Mazda dealership.

it looks interesting at least

I like it! 2000lbs + RWD... Well I just can't be against that, I'm sorry.

So since I posted about the upcoming type R, I still couldn't get over the fact that it will be quicker around the Nurburgring than the NSX-R. Every time my brain is free, I find myself thinking how is that possible. Then today it hit me while driving that the Type R will also have at least as much hp as the NSX, and that's when my face went Yes, I posted the hp figures the other day, and I know how much hp the NSX had, but for some reason my brain had not till today put it together that the 2 power levels will be approximately identical. For the past couple of days, I found myself asking how a Civic could be as fast as a super car (NSX), and while I know how much hp the NSX had, my brain was actively blocking itself from bringing the NSX hp into the internal brain debate because of my use of the "super car" identifier to describe the NSX, because really, super cars don't have just ~280 hp, not anymore they don't.Carry on, nothing to see here
9/12/2013 3:31:23 PM
The NSX doesn't fit the term "super car" in any way other than crappy rearward visibility. Yeah the engine is in the middle but it's a transverse midship AND couldn't even muster 300hp in the 90s. I do like how they look on the outside though.

Sure, but it put a beating on the contemporary Porsche 911 and Ferrari 348.Check out this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-Acura-Integra-Type-R-Numbered-Car-Alpine-Sound-Apex-Computer-/281168196408?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4176ee3338#Photo2001 Integra Type R with 30k miles, just purchased for $24,100.

In-car footage in link at top.That makes it up to 8 s quicker -- 14 s quicker than M2 -- than these cars, among dozens of other older sports and super cars:2009 Audi R8 V102005 Pagani Zonda S1993 Bugatti EB110 SS2007 MB CLK63 AMG Black Series2011 MB C63 AMG Coupe Black Series2001 Porsche 911 GT22007 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera1991 Jaguar XJ2202004 Porsche 911 GT3 RS2009 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano2016 VW Golf GTI Clubsport S <----- previous FWD record holder2010 BMW M3 GTS2003 BMW M3 CSL2015 Honda Civic Type-R <----- previous FWD record holder 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S2009 MB SL65 AMG Black Series2014 BMW M4And these are under 4 seconds quicker than it:2010 Nissan GT-R2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z062009 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV2006 Porsche 911 GT32015 Porsche Cayman GT42009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR12011 Chevrolet Camaro ZL12010 Porsche 911 Turbo S2010 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera2010 MB SLS AMG2009 Porsche 911 GT3 9972004 MB SLR McLaren2007 Lamborghini Murcielago LP6402005 Bugatti Veyron 16.4Honda still sucks?

Who's driving that civic type R in that picture? To me, Looks like a female, to me...
5/1/2017 1:23:23 AM
they've always had great engineering but a shit enthusiast product value
5/1/2017 1:54:20 AM
5/1/2017 9:01:42 AM
that is one ugly ass car
5/1/2017 3:02:38 PM
It reminds me of those chunky WRX/STI's. Unfortunately, Civic Type ARRR doesn't have the AWD system those porky lamb chops do.
5/1/2017 3:12:08 PM
^X7/8
5/5/2017 12:04:40 PM
it looks pretty good in the first shot. but then the shot of the rear? Holy shit, that's gotta be the most ugly/obnoxious rear end I've ever seen. Honda should be embarrassed.
5/15/2017 2:25:27 PM
See, the sedan and coupe can be had in the 205 hp Si version, but if you want the 306 hp R, that's only available in the hatchback with BIG ASS.I wish the coupe was also available as an R, then it would look way better.
5/15/2017 10:39:40 PM
The front end would actually be somewhat respectable looking if one didn't have the knowledge that the 2 big air vents were actually fake.
