I'd like to know how this place is. Not like I will ever get to try it

Still, it'll be good to have more in the area for people to walk to.

That website is making me want to never, ever, ever consume there.

A google map overlay front and center on the main page? Really, guys?

MS Painted?

I'm not entirely convinced someone didn't put a 'Gorman Street Pub" sticky note on my monitor.

hmmm that's not good

ITT we put down restaurants because of their websites and not because of their food/service.

well there's not a menu posted and the LAST thing that area needs is another place selling unhealthy, cheese laden bar food - they should try doing reasonably healthy stuff - maybe source their veg from the nearby Farmer's Market... THAT would get my business

if it is just going to be another domestic beer, neon lights deep-fryer cave then I've already got one of those picked out thank you very much and I don't need another

I'll probably end up stepping in there while working but unless it is something different I won't spend a dime inside

^^I would love a bar that had some good, cheap salads with some homemade dressings. Especially if they got shit from the farmer's market.

some good traditional fish and chips would be nice too.

I was gonna go in there tonight but called and found out they stop serving food at 11 so we went to Cuebo instead. A menu on their website would be very helpful.

went there the other week. it's in between a cheap beer, bar food place, and a great selection with amazing food place. in other words, decent beer selection, typical restaurant menu.

it's not a place that will steal me away from my usual bars, but it is a good place to go, with plenty of TVs, better than normal beer selection, and edible food.

and yes, the website is a joke.

I ate here the other day. I thought Jax had the best hot wings around. I was told this place was going to keep things pretty much the same as far as food goes. This did not stand true for the wings. They were nothing to write home about. They were kind of soggy and the sauce was meh at best. Looks like I'm back on the hunt for a new favorite wing spot in Raleigh.

lame

I also liked the wings from Jax. Stupid Hot wings were very tasty. (they weren't just hot... they seemed to have a really good flavor.)

And the menu has been wiped from their website.

One of you folks who is good at web design should really offer to help in exchange for free wings/drinks.

suggestions for this place

- purchase an american flag and fly it from your flag pole

- have a well promoted grand openiing with 1$ drink specials and cheap appetizers

- get a f******* website

couldn't be further from the case.

they have a REALLY extensive bottle list, and the food menu, while I can't attest to it being good yet (I've eaten there once, twas OK), the menu is pretty damned thorough for a bar from a culinary standpoint.

not at ALL like Jax, except for it being in the same building.

but, to be really honest, the food Britt and I had needed some work. Great ideas on that menu, but it's not quite "there". They will work it out, I'm sure.

I went the other day. Wasn't too terribly impressed but it's still new. The interior was a huge improvement over Jax and they had tons of TV's. I had the tuna avocado sandwich (recommended by waitress) and I thought it was really bland, not "blackened" at all, and wasn't a good cut of tuna. The salad was alright. My friend enjoyed their chicken salad but wasn't ecstatic about it or anything. Decent beer selection:price ratio. Would like to try their fish and chips and I guess the cheese steak and maybe the burger before drawing final conclusions.

Don't bother with the Cheesesteak. It was below par to say the least. Almost no cheese to be found on the damn thing...just a shit load a dry bread and ok meat.

Bar setup isn't good for watching sports. All the TVs are to the left or right of every table so you are always turning your head. You will leave that place with a neck ache.
