god damn it, no fucking person in the fucking world wants to hear a full 10 minute press conference leading into sportscenter about a player WHO DIDN'T FUCKING PLAY TONIGHT. it's not like he said he was retiring tonight. especially when there is way more exciting shit going on tonight. what a fucking joke. sunday and monday night sportscenters from Bristol are the absolute worst.

^This afternoon, they showed the 1990 All-American Bowl on ESPN Classic...State vs Southern Miss and Favres last college game. Announcer said at halftime they would have a "special piece" on Favre...theyve been nutting over this guy since before he was even in the NFL. For those that didnt know, the Pack defeated the Southern Miss Favres in that game
12/14/2010 12:29:49 AM
^I saw that was on...I knew we won the game but it was before I was born (I was born in 1991) and never seen the game. I lol'd when the game ended on a Favre fumble.
12/14/2010 12:51:51 AM
"See who called Tom Brady a dork"gg ESPN, gg.
1/11/2011 6:03:07 PM
ESPN? more like TMZN, amirite
1/11/2011 6:10:37 PM
so "can't wait" is a meme. i think they have said it 50 times in the first 20 minutes of SC
1/20/2011 11:21:13 PM
I was watching SC recently on the night before the divisional playoffs. Their "What to Watch for" was the Australian Open. On...you guessed it!! ESPN
1/20/2011 11:51:14 PM
CAN'T WAIT
1/20/2011 11:54:54 PM
^^ I fail to see a problem with that
1/21/2011 1:59:08 AM
I have nothing against watching tennis. But if you ask people whether they would rather watch the Australian open or NFL playoffs, I bet 9 out of every 10 of them would say football. Their "What to Watch For" shouldn't be all about themselves all the time, but it's not like people do not know that the NFl playoffs are going to be on, I suppose.
1/21/2011 12:15:36 PM
Don't worry. Give it a couple more years and the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl will be ESPN exclusives.
1/21/2011 12:23:15 PM
you do realize that their "What To Watch For" segment is almost always a "check out what will be airing on our ESPN family of networks today/tonight" kind of promo, right?
1/21/2011 2:25:47 PM
ESPN is basically a 24-hour a day non-stop conflict of interest.]
1/21/2011 2:27:57 PM
Australian Open is cool as shit. If I wanted a 237 hour pregame show for football, I'd turn to the NFL Network.
1/21/2011 2:29:58 PM

a couple days ago they had a question about Ben Roethlisberger. Only Pennsylvania and West Va were in agreement on the map and blue, the rest were red. sage steele got PA right, then called WV Maryland. what an idiot. you're like 3 states away. i could maybe see if it was that whole Colorado area, or maybe Missouri, because who the fuck knows them unless you're there, but come on espn, hire some people that know something, or at least have her read it off a prompt or something.[/stupid story]
1/22/2011 12:33:29 AM

1/22/2011 12:37:30 AM

I flipped past the Softball coverage on ESPN2 and they actually employ a "Social Media Coordinator."This involves reading tweets and then saying them aloud. Very grueling work.

7/9/2011 10:26:11 AM
I'm loving the outrage over ESPN suspending Bruce Feldman just for doing his jobhttp://awfulannouncing.com/2011-articles/july/bruce-feldman-suspension-espn-waterloo.html
7/15/2011 11:10:24 AM
Yeah, before I knew they gave him permission to write the book, I was in the "I don't get the outrage" camp. Did ESPN release a statement explaining their decision? ]
7/15/2011 11:42:54 AM
at least he didn't say "fuck jesus" or he'd have been suspended for ONE WEEK
