i like the idea of beerfestbut in practice, it's second only to downtown live in terms of "how many mouthbreathing idiots can we cram around moore square"

So much fun! I think this year was better than last year's; could just be because I knew what to expect though. Carolina Ale House got cheap though!! Last year they were giving out $10 off cards, this year they were only $5 off cards, and I couldn't find a Skoal tent. Oh well, it was still a hell of a time.

Did anybody else try the Red Oak limited, whatever it was? It was amazing...any ideas on where I can get it around here?

^^ I thought the Red Oak Limited was really good too, I might try to call later in the week to see if they sell it at the brewery, which is about 20 minutes outside of Greensboro on 40.

It's called Big Oak. The only thing the brewery bottles is Red Oak. You can get Big Oak at The Flying Saucer. Woody's (the one downtown) had it, I'm not sure if they still do. There might be some other places that have it on tap by now. These were the first two in the area to have it.

I've gotta do a better job of keeping up with what I like next year; I've said this every year but I never have. It really pisses me off the next day when I can remember the specific taste but have no idea what it is.
