We're getting our yearly corporate bonus, but it hasn't been unveiled to us just yet. We find out next month and the raise won't show until our March paycheck.
12/17/2009 9:20:46 PM
$2000 bonus, plus also got a 3rd qtr. bonus of about $2500 at the same time. Taxes ate about half though.Got a 2% raise last year. I won't get one this year, at least not from the same company as Saturday is my last day with them. However, I did effectively give myself a 15% raise by finding a new job that I start in February.
12/18/2009 10:13:22 AM
Team made the playoffs at the end of the season, meaning I got my Playoff/Christmas bonus yesterday. Came out to about 8%, I'll take it.
12/18/2009 9:52:17 PM
$3k bonus based on performance2% raise across the board.Pleasantly surprised. I've only been here for 9 months: 3 months as a contractor, 6 months fulltime.
12/22/2009 2:05:12 PM
Just got $400. Woo.Actually it's still pretty cool b/c normally we get nothing.
12/22/2009 2:06:44 PM
12/22/2009 2:26:05 PM
3% bonus, if bonus means all the OT I received for working through the snowstorm in Asheville..
12/23/2009 9:43:17 PM

12/3/2010 9:30:44 AM
We get a Fixed and Variable bonus based on the performance of the firm and our individual performance. So I'll get something, but nothing worth writing home about.
12/3/2010 9:31:37 AM
1.4% raise....thanks Congress!

12/3/2010 9:45:47 AM
Ain't gettin' jack.
12/3/2010 11:06:44 AM
Just got my 3rd quarter overnight bonus, will get another one in February. I am getting an annual bonus, not yet sure how much it will be. I'll get a raise in March or April and possibly a pay grade increase and promotion at some point next year.
12/3/2010 11:19:09 AM
Still waiting for the word on mine
12/3/2010 11:27:28 AM
Not really a bonus, but I'm about to settle a case right before Christmas that will net me half my salary for the year. Relatively simple case as well. Just got to keep the work flow coming in so I can put a majority of this money away.
12/3/2010 11:30:43 AM
12/3/2010 11:37:31 AM
$700 bonus but it was really an "expense reimbursement" which is a good thing, considering it's not taxed
12/3/2010 11:39:08 AM
I nearly blew mine last week by assuming Thanksgiving was a global holiday. I took care of it eventually and am expecting something decent in the next few weeks. All put away, of course. Its amazing how many people who work with money for a living don't understand the time value of it.[Edited on December 3, 2010 at 11:43 AM. Reason : x]
12/3/2010 11:41:51 AM
we get ours in March its bullshit.
12/3/2010 11:47:48 AM
We just do yearly bonuses in ~Sept ... but it was nice ~%15 of salary.
12/3/2010 12:09:52 PM
Ours are in March too.
12/3/2010 12:27:54 PM
I get a whole free Cheesecake
12/3/2010 12:39:51 PM
I think we get ours in March, if we get one this year.
12/3/2010 12:46:59 PM
Cost of living increase has been frozen for the next two years for federal employees. So there goes my "bonus". Oh well, I'm due for a step increase in June
12/3/2010 12:56:50 PM
I have never gotten a bonus in my entire 8-year working career. The only time in the last 4 years we've had a raise was in 2008. I'm getting tired of being a state employee...really I am...but (forced smile) at least I have a job!
12/3/2010 5:17:10 PM
Personal Trainer = no bonushowever, I do usually get Christmas Giftsso far: $300 gift card to whole foodswe'll see what comes next
12/3/2010 6:32:33 PM
i'm pretty sure all we're getting is a smile this year. things have been really tight. i'm thankful to have a job this year.
12/3/2010 6:35:50 PM
we got a $25 gift walmart gift card in lieu of any bonus or raise, same as last year. I guess it better than nothing, but I hate walmart and will go out of my way to not shop there. I think I still have last year's gift card. meh, maybe I'll give them away as christmas presents.
12/3/2010 7:17:42 PM
$california
12/3/2010 8:21:28 PM
Bonus = not being RIF'edActually, my boss just told me he recommended me for a promotion, but that there's no money to go with it. Better than a sharp stick in the eye I suppose.
12/3/2010 8:30:40 PM
3% raise back in September.Possible Christmas bonus coming up, will report back laterz.
12/3/2010 9:35:55 PM
3% raise this year (got 8% last year).I get no Christmas bonuses (well, other than $25 Walmart gift card for Thanksgiving, and the soon-to-be $100 gift card for working during the office Christmas party).
12/3/2010 10:00:24 PM
I really miss working for private industry.Raises were typically 7-10% per year with boners being in the 12-20% per year. This year it was 3% raise and no bonus.
12/3/2010 10:16:26 PM
I'll be lucky if I still have a job after the next state budget is passedNeedless to say, no raise and the state doesn't give bonuses
12/4/2010 12:51:51 AM
We don't even get paid time off and aren't allowed to use our vacation days in December, so I don't anticipate any sort of bonus.
12/4/2010 8:05:53 AM
State Employee = No raise or bonus for last 2+ years. So I got my own. 35% raise starting Monday, and still a state employee. Plus, now I'm moving from Redneck Rapids to the Triangle!
12/4/2010 8:36:46 AM
^^sounds like a shitty place to work. id be looking for a new job asap.
12/4/2010 9:21:23 AM
unexpected $300 cash bonus, but they cut back on our usual stock options
12/4/2010 7:29:17 PM
As a small business owner I see no reason to give a bonus. I give my employees a bonus every week when they open their pay check. I will never understand a bonus that is based on a holiday and not performance. I do how ever let my guys work all the overtime in December they want. Does this make me an ass hole? Or just fair?
12/4/2010 7:54:55 PM
12/4/2010 8:16:08 PM
2-5% bonus based on performance, however, it's not really a christmas bonus as much as it is a way to reduce your base salary and potentially save a few bucks by not giving the max perf bonus. Sigh. But, I should have a lil 10% raise coming in January after 21 months with the job, no raises before, so it's very welcome.
