Unfortunately for her, she's going to walk on to Ashe on Wednesday with 22,000 people cheering for her opponent.

I hate that Isner lost. He went to my high school, and I played little league with his older brother Nathan.

This Oudin girl is cute. And not in a cute "I want to fuck her" way...but in a cute "she acts and has the mannerisms of an actual 17-year old" way. I'm enjoying her post-game conferences. I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like being a 17-year old pro has gone to her head yet.

^i agree. she is very likeable and seems very down to earth. hopefully this new found success and fame doesn't go to her head...she seems like a girl that won't let it.

I loved her demeanor during the whole last game. At triple match point she's muttering, "Okay, okay, one more, okay." Then, after missing wide on the second match point she immediately looks at her family in an exasperated fashion and yells, "I know!" She's not out of control or in her own head, but the last thing she needs is her mom going, "It was right there!"

Also, while she was obviously very happy after beating Petrova, there was no look of shock on her face as there was after she beat Dementieva or Sharapova. She believes, and that's very dangerous.

murray getting dominated by cilic so far...very surprising

that bottom half of the draw is stacked with murray, nadal, del potro and tsonga.

i was just thinking about it...the top 7 of the men's game on hardcourts are so close to each other. its a very interesting time for men's tennis...

I was speaking of oudin in my last post btw,

Monfils spent everything he had on the first set. No chance.

the first 2 sets were some of the most entertaining tennis i've ever watched. and yeah, looks like i was wrong on monfils potentially pulling the upset. as someone said above, he was spent after the first set.

although, if he coulda found a way to pull out the second set, i think he coulda found some reserve to get one of the last 3. rafa was too good and once he won the 2nd set...it was all over.

i'll be watching the first hour...then a freakin softball game is gonna cause me to miss the rest (unless i can get out of it).

i like oudin's chances of making the final...however, i don't like her chances of beating serena in the final. maybe clijsters will knock serena off and then we could have a women's match that is along the lines of monfils/nadal last night

In tennis, as in life, entertaining > simply hot.

Also, high level doubles is nuts. It's like a completely different game than singles.

Bryan brothers going to final set tiebreak now.

If I find something highly entertaining then yes, I would agree. But women's tennis just doesn't do it for me. Therefore I need something fun to look at to hold my attention.

I love watching men's tennis though. Seeing Rafa get to impossible ball after impossible ball is amazing...

Bryan brothers went from 5-0 down in the tiebreak to 6-6, saving five consecutive match points in the process, but just lost at 8-6.

And even if women's tennis doesn't do it for you, anyone who enjoys competition has got to love watching Oudin's emotion as she works her way through a match.
