We have Hobart handler 187 220v mig, and Hobart stickmate 235 stick welder.

(kinda) worked on the jeep today. fabbed a set of 32" tall jackstands that will be needed to get the front axle and links in the truck. Jeepman was spotted in the area! Thanks for the help, man.

all I did was do a shitty job of anti-welding lol. I gotta get a buzz box and practice. I actually used to be able to lay down some decent beads stick welding believe it or not.

^

I just bought a welder and was going to see if you could give me a few tips on it. I picked up a new Century 130 with a full bottle of argon and a spool of wire at a yard sale.

Maybe should update so this thread doesn't get locked and die of old age. some of you have already seen these elsewhere, but I figured I'd update those that don't follow the other sites I'm on.

It didn't feel all that heavy at the time, but a weight calculator says it is ~59 lb. so that axle weighs approximately a shitton.

about what i figured....lol

can't weigh nearly as much as one of those 2 1/2 ton rockwells some ppl use though...they're usually just overkill though

debraked, a 14 bolt is about 450. add 1.5" thick rotors, and a 60 lb. truss, and we are well back over 520 lb.

a 2.5ton rear rockwell with no brakes weighs in at 532
