^^^ That's just too easy, man. He's a sitting VP with--believe it or not--a many responsibilities and a national pulpit. And let's just be honest with each other for a sec: Biden is a walking disaster of a human gaffe machine and you know it. He's hurting Obama and the Democrats as a whole--and if a Republican were to make even half the goof-ups Biden does, you'd be in here on the regular guffawing about what an idiot he/she was. And you're right--the Republicans have nobody for president. I mean, Romney's the only big name and I don't really care for him that much. This fact alone could propel Obama to a second term--that and the whole divided government thing. I think the Republicans will take back Congress.BTW, I missed you a little, schmoe. ^^ Fair enough.[Edited on June 29, 2010 at 5:02 PM. Reason : I was responding to your "don't care about Biden's actions" post pre-edit, schmoe.]

^ You're slipping toward ad hom. Look, I've obviously had some fun with Biden over the years, but he has become a liability--and I never thought he was much of an asset to begin with. My comments aren't "petty" at all. I'm giving you an honest assessment of Biden (and, yes, an admittedly unflattering image) that is very much in line with mainstream thought. And it's one thing for a politician to slip up once in a while, but it's an entirely different thing altogether when it reaches the level of Biden's epic cavalcade of continual and continuing gaffes--just look them up for yourself. He's way beyond the average.
6/29/2010 5:37:13 PM
Maybe you're paying attention to what he's saying more closely than I, because I'm just not seeing the "epic cavalcade" of gaffes that you see.

You could have at least made it a lmgtfy link.

^^ what am i supposed to see?http://www.google.com/search?q=epic+cavalcade+of+gaffes[Edited on June 29, 2010 at 5:48 PM. Reason : carats]
6/29/2010 5:47:59 PM
^^ True.^ Just enter "Biden gaffes"--that should suffice. Glad to help out.
6/29/2010 5:53:46 PM
Actually, googling "Biden gaffes" returns hits to HuffPo, CBSNews.com, and other "liberal-leaning" news ors. ZOMG CAVALCADE
6/29/2010 6:36:47 PM
Listening to the vice president is like listening to the crack addict on the street corner. Neither of them has the power to do shit. I doubt they even let biden attend the real meetings.
6/29/2010 6:38:08 PM
Shut up.

Biden Accuses GOPers Of Forcing "No" VotesJune 29, 2010
7/1/2010 9:20:25 AM
You can't just say every comment is a gaffe and then dismiss it.
7/1/2010 9:23:35 AM
^ The post stands on its own merit. And I didn't say Biden's comment was a gaffe--the GOP did.I don't know whether Biden's accusations are true or not. But I do know that if Biden is going to make such inflammatory accusations, he should back them up with evidence and not avoid responding to media requests for clarification.
7/1/2010 9:35:14 AM
Everyone does that. It's not a gaffe.
7/1/2010 9:37:43 AM
Thanks for sharing
7/1/2010 9:53:31 AM
In fairness, just because the GOP called it a gaffe doesn't mean that it is, either. Michael Steele is a gaffe machine in his own right, after all.
7/1/2010 2:44:37 PM
^ Right. That's why I posted this:
7/1/2010 2:59:48 PM
Maybe we need a new thread... Michael "What up?" Steele Gaffes. you wanna make it?
7/1/2010 3:01:30 PM
^ Be my guest--I like my Biden thread. Biden's entertaining and you know it--don't even lie!
7/1/2010 3:09:34 PM
Biden has traveled to Iraq over the holiday weekend--if give him credit for doing this. Sure, there's probably some PR in it, but he made the trip so good for him.
7/4/2010 7:17:04 AM
I give credit where credit is due. And I think Biden serving hot dogs and beer to our returning men and women in uniform was a fun thing to do.Vice President Biden Serves Hot Dogs on Colbert Report16 hours ago

http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/17/politics/joe-biden-jewish-term/Sure, I guess some might consider the term Shylocks to be anti-Semitic. and I think referring to someone as "the wisest man in the orient" is no biggie.http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/sep/17/joe-biden-refers-asia-orient/Oh Joe, you embarrassing doofus.
9/17/2014 4:50:09 PM
this is the perfect time to insult jews tho
9/17/2014 5:10:47 PM
Since when is referring to Asia as the Orient offensive?
9/18/2014 9:14:53 AM
I don't associate shylocks with Jews, but I'm not really up on my racism I guess. But he is the vp of the United States so he should be more careful.
9/18/2014 10:23:28 AM
^^I think it's been considered out-dated, and potentially offensive for a while now (decades?)... at least when referring to the people. The Merrian-Webster dictionary says it's "sometimes offensive".
9/18/2014 10:31:52 AM
decades, it's been offensive for decades
9/18/2014 10:38:51 AM
Rugs are Oriental. People are not.
9/18/2014 10:40:49 AM
^^&^^^ for what reason is it considered "offensive"? And given that there's a Chinese restaurant near my office called Orient Garden I'm not sure they consider it offensive either.
9/18/2014 1:11:57 PM
Again, I think it's can be considered deragotry when referring to people, not necessarily objects
9/18/2014 1:14:25 PM
^ if Orient is only offensive because some Americans used it pejoratively to sino-americans, then it doesn't necessarily have the same connotation in the context biden used it. Not to mention, i don't think anyone uses it in this context anymore, or even understands it that way.And it doesn't seem like anyone actually complained, just mediaite wanting to write an article about it.
9/18/2014 1:19:47 PM
^^Thanks Bullet.^agreed.
