I tried just my last name. Logged in immediately, typed at 60wpm..."Already taken."Got "first.last" though. Which is still amazing, since there are 184 of us.[Edited on June 13, 2009 at 12:16 AM. Reason : Phrased differently, I'm the only one of us loser enough to be home on a friday night.]Wait, my last name is still listed as page not found. Maybe it's a restricted word or something. I can't imagine why.[Edited on June 13, 2009 at 12:18 AM. Reason : .]

I nearly went for democrat (which isn't as lame as it might seem since my MPA degree I'm working on getting at State will have me working in & around politics for quite some time), but then I thought party loyalty might not hold up. So I went for this instead: http://www.new.facebook.com/equalityI thought about going for my actual name, but it isn't easy to spell to begin with, and my last name is hyphenated, so going for my name defeated the whole point of an easy url. Oh well, I'll probably hate it by morning, but at least I'll remember it.

i was going to register an account for thewolfweb, but then i found out newly registered accounts aren't eligible for usernames[Edited on June 13, 2009 at 12:32 AM. Reason : if anybody registers it, i'll just file an appeal with fb for trademark infringement]V they did that on purpose so people don't go register a hundred new accounts for the sole purpose of squatting on usenames[Edited on June 13, 2009 at 12:33 AM. you mad?
6/13/2009 12:33:48 AM
Yeah.....all those fucks got to get their names....except for "Tom". Though I have to assume the reason no one has that yet is because they got into a fight at the office or something.Almost everyone who got their first name (ok, not everyone cause I haven't looked) works for FB. I mean if I worked there I'm sure I'd be all about that and shit....but pffft)

6/13/2009 12:42:34 AM
I thought it had to be 5 characters?
6/13/2009 12:44:12 AM
I am sure there are provisions that were made by FB for certain users....like pre-registering and # of characters...[Edited on June 13, 2009 at 12:45 AM. Reason : ]

Obama fast enough to get both Obama AND BarackObama.Obviously they reserved a ton of names for famous people and companies. The entire point of doing this had nothing to do with their user base, but sponsors and companies. Now they can be like MySpace, so someone like the Hurricanes for example can say "Go visit our Facebook at facebook.com/carolinahurricanes"
6/13/2009 12:46:06 AM
nobody has http://www.facebook.com/fuckobama yet.
6/13/2009 12:48:45 AM

6/13/2009 12:50:16 AM
^^you are probably correct. ^ maybe a person who doesn't like obama? not hard to figure out DNL.[Edited on June 13, 2009 at 12:51 AM. Reason : l]
