I give it a solid meh....Not bad, but not particularly great either

I liked this movie

THEN GIVE ME ONE OF THOSE LARGE ENOUGH TO RIDE
5/16/2011 2:40:42 PM
I enjoyed it, but didn't find it all that remarkable. The humor was good, but I'm not buying that he discovered grace and humility because of one night with Natalie Portman.
5/16/2011 2:43:02 PM
I believe I could if I spent one night with Natalie Portman.
5/16/2011 2:46:59 PM
I like the movie. Maybe not as good as some of the previous Marvel films, but it was still entertaining. I suppose the only bit that got me was the sometimes awkward shifts in tone back and forth between the serious business of Asgard and the sometimes slapstick antics of Earth. Still, my siblings and I all enjoyed it.

5/16/2011 6:00:16 PM
Iron Man movies were better.
5/16/2011 7:37:19 PM
Not on the level of Iron Man, Spider-man 2, or X-Men 2...but it ranks on even level with Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk, X-Men, and Spider-man.It's better than Spider-man 3, X-Men 3, both Punisher films, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, and the Fantastic Four films.and light years above Elektra and Ang Lee's Hulk.
5/16/2011 8:48:52 PM
Don't make me Ang-Lee, you wouldn't like me when I'm Ang-Lee
5/16/2011 8:56:13 PM
saw it tonight. loved it! knew absolutely nothing about thor, but was thoroughly entertained.so is loki going to be one of the villains in the avengers? wondered what sorta story they might use.oh and
5/16/2011 9:04:57 PM
I, too, quite enjoyed the random yelling!
5/16/2011 9:50:15 PM
I really liked the movie... But I didn't like...SPOILERS ALERT********"""""""*******SPOILER ALERT *****************************************Thor gets hit with Loki's weapon and flies through the wall and continues falling as the camera cuts away, next time you see him he is flying through the air at Loki on the rainbow bridge, a minute later Loki is about to destroy him, as Odin sheds a tear in bed, next shot Odin is flying through the air to catch them both as they are falling off the damaged bridge. It felt like the editing was just way to sped up there at the end. I can deal with the Destroyer battle being short, but give me a good climactic fight scene at the end at least. Everything was blink and you missed it fast at the end.Overall I thought the film served its purpose. Entertain people and introduce them to Thor to set up Avengers. Great ... but not fantastic.

Thorsten, put a long space at the end of the Spoiler too. That thing's right in my "bottom of the thread" o-meter.
5/17/2011 10:18:13 AM
Finally got around to watching this. Not bad at all.
6/2/2011 9:27:31 PM
Some would go as far as to call it pretty damn entertaining.
6/2/2011 11:40:40 PM
Finally received my Thor poster signed by Chris Hemsworth and Kenneth Branagh Put a pic of it in my photo gallery oh, in case anyone is wondering I didn't buy it and spend money on fake autographs, this is from the studios
6/3/2011 3:05:51 AM
Wow, that's a great poster. I am jealous.
6/3/2011 8:28:40 AM
Meh.On the badThe Thor plot felt both drawn out and like it needed more time to develop why Thor felt bad/fell in love/did anything really. On the good, a lot of decent one-liners and I liked Loki more then Thor. If he didn't want to randomly murder his brother but just lie to him to keep him out of harm's way, he'd almost be the good guy.
6/3/2011 9:43:12 AM
I just saw it in the dollar theater.Overall pretty worth the buck. Also: Kat Dennings is freakin gorgeous.
7/8/2011 5:26:36 PM
Saw it at the $1.50 last night. It was waaaaaaay better than The Green Lantern, that's for sure.
7/24/2011 8:57:21 PM
watched this last night for the first time. I enjoyed it. To be honest I was never big on Thor growing up so I knew very little about his origin story compared to the other Avengers. But I thought it was visually stunning. the story felt lacking in some areas, like it wasn't fully flushed out.
5/3/2012 9:18:08 AM
Thor's universe is one of the best in Marvel IMO, if not the best.
5/4/2012 10:14:08 AM
not bad
5/8/2012 2:48:07 PM
I watched this last night after being dragged to see The Avengers, neither of which I had any knowledge about beforehand.I liked Thor much more than The Avengers, I wish I had seen it before I saw avengers, I think a lot of stuff would have made more sense. One thing though, Thor should have spent some more time shirtless. Also it would have been nice if there was a plot on earth for Thor to help and be a hero for. Saving them from something sent because of him, wasn't really enough for me to think he would be less arrogant and heroic. Something to cause him to be more endearing.
6/20/2012 2:08:09 PM
there wasn't supposed to be a plot to earth but a revelation or epiphany that just because he is strong and can fight wars the common people (his common people) cannot and thus war should be avoided. (the message odin gave him in the beginning)
6/20/2012 2:49:47 PM
in the 3 hour directors cut of the Avengers coming, there's apparently a lot more Thor.Just FYI.
6/20/2012 2:56:09 PM
Saw this on a flight. I actually really enjoyed it.
8/16/2012 11:55:44 AM
New Thor trailer:I'm looking forward to this. I really enjoyed the first one and this trailer looked good. I'm a little confused about the kids in the opening scene.
4/23/2013 2:29:45 PM
This is just a guess but could be perceived as a spoiler so don't read below if you don't want to hear such things. But I'm guessing Natalie Portman's character will die in this one.
