In my line of work I work with people from all walks of life. It's horrible to say, but when I first started I was told to be on the look-out for teachers and was told they are the most clueless customers out there. It's true, at least for the elementary school ones. Never met a high school teacher who was clueless. I hate saying that because I have many good friends who are teachers who aren't clueless, but I've witnessed the stereotype and can't say I disagree with it.

Since someone asked me to cite my statement on animal cruelty and violence against humans, I can point you in the direction of multiple books and papers on the subject. -Animal Cruelty: Pathway to Human Violence by Linda Merz-Perez, Kathleen M. Heide-Daniel Hellman and Nathan Blackman. Enuresis, Firesetting, and Cruelty to Animals: A triad predictive of Adult Crime. -Felthous, Alan R. (1980), "Aggression Against Cats, Dogs, and People", Child Psychiatry and Human Development (10): 169–177-Cruelty to Animals and Interpersonal Violence: Readings in Research and Applicationedited by Randall Lockwood and Frank R. AscioneISBN: 1557531064-Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Animal Abuse: Linking the Circles of Compassion for Prevention and Interventionedited by Frank R. Ascione and Phil ArkowISBN: 1557531439It should also be noted that animal cruelty is harm to an animal for the sole purpose of causing harm and suffering. Animal cruelty, at the least, is a known marker of sociopaths, psychopaths, and/or violent criminals. We should be concerned by people who wantonly inflict pain and suffering.

^Exactly. While she clearly deserves five years, the man who killed a San Francisco mayor and city manager should've been sentenced to life. Every [actual] murderer should be given life sentences.
