IT IS ALIVE!! All back together and no problems. Getting an alignment tomorrow and to the drag strip. Will be making it to the dyno day as well.Am shocked that it turns as well as it does with the axles locked, I was a little concerned. Video to come.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVQu692I7qk[Edited on July 22, 2009 at 9:13 PM. Reason : video]

Sadly....My clutch is slipping, so it would be pointless to put it on the dyno now

you can join the new clutch club . mine goes in next week if UPS shows up >.<

Ryan, nice blackmarks in the driveway

THIS is how you do black marks in the driveway: http://tinyurl.com/55v8yx

^^involuntary black marks, side effects of a spool^ yup that would do it

Big waste of time, feel bad for anyone that drove a long way to go. Almost entirely diesel trucks and a long line to get on the dyno. I registered as soon as I got there, waited about 2 hrs and still didnt get to run the Mustang. Eventually just left.
7/25/2009 4:07:10 PM
doh! isnt your motor stock?
7/25/2009 6:52:07 PM
^most bolt ons but thats it. was hoping to establish a baseline.
7/26/2009 9:09:24 AM
a baseline on a dyno you wont be back to?
7/26/2009 9:16:20 AM
I think they ran 33 trucks in all, it was slow as shit. I saw ryan pull in, but then never got to see him-big number of the day ~690whp ( i think the dude had mods enough for 1kwhp)Guess who had the lowest of any dodge there? 332/737, uncorrected, correction factor was said to be 1.13-
7/27/2009 8:17:00 AM
690 = faildo people even try?
7/27/2009 8:20:36 AM
AFAIK, dude had an s475 over an s595 compound setup - now whether or not he had them set up correctly, I dont know. more to come on the issue that owner did accuse the dyno operator of running it with the parking brake engaged.
7/27/2009 8:25:09 AM
^^ yea I saw that one, was a pretty narly truck. looked relatively stock, obviously wasnt

clarification directly from Lucas (shop owner of L&N, site of the event):

Didnt mean to bash the event as a whole, if I drove a big diesel truck im sure all would have been gravy. More disapointed with all the wrenching I had done to get it ready before hand and really not being able to run.1.) Didnt realize it would be catered almost entirely to diesel trucks, was hoping there were going to be more cars. (thats fine though, plenty of cool trucks to gawk at)2.) My brother brought his motorcycle with the intention of dynoing it. Found out when we got there that the bike dyno burned down the previous week. So now my brother and a friend of mine are just waiting on me (so I get to feel like a ass for keeping them there)3.) Get registered, asked the dyno operator how the order was determined, he said "just hang around". "Hung around" by the tent quite a bit, they were jumping all over the place. Hard to tell if I was 1st in line or 30th. All in all I was actually there about 3 hrs, best I could tell from the list is I was 8th in line when i get there, when I left I was still only 5th.4.) Looking at the way the dyno was setup honestly I wasnt that sure I could even get the mustang on it without ripping off the exhaust.Again I applogize for "bashing" the event, wasnt my intention. Just didnt work out for me personally.

^prob going to try to go to Wilkesborro this Thursday. Just depends on weather.
7/28/2009 6:16:01 PM
drive on ramps, they lift up on hydros until level, for cars with low clearance.
7/28/2009 7:25:14 PM
or shitty cummins that dont have enough power to make it up there
