You are fuckin worthless, please leave.
3/12/2009 9:04:11 PM
I dont understand the bashing, are we really better off without him? Yeah he wasn't the best player on the floor, but put any bench player in his spot and would we have more or less wins. I think we all know the answer is less. We fucking sucks, get used to it. Until Williams and K leave we are ALWAYS gonna be 3rd and 4th fiddle around here. Having a better year than either one of them is the exception not the rule. I hate losing and I just broke another remote after this loss, but it is getting pretty normal.
3/12/2009 9:11:47 PM
^I'd love to be 3rd fiddle at his point. Right now, we're not even in the band. And I honestly don't care if he comes back. He's got talent, but I'm just ready for the whole Fells/Ben/Costner/Herb era to be over and done with.[Edited on March 12, 2009 at 9:15 PM. Reason : ]

i want him back if he dedicates himself to learning how to run.
3/12/2009 9:14:12 PM
I meant just on tobacco road, but I do understand the sentiment, but if Lowe doesnt win in the next two years he will be out and we will look for another second tier coach. We need wins sooner rather than later for future recruits and coaching prospects.
3/12/2009 9:15:36 PM
i watched costner for atleast 5-6 solid mins and the mother fucker would just push and stand at teh top of the key. the team did a great job tonight. but srsly. i dont even want to start no sir coster is worthless
3/12/2009 9:17:03 PM
people need to learn how to keep their fucking mouths shut for the benefit of the team. periodtell your fucking friends if you want to talk about it, but disrespecting our players on the internet is fucking retardedgrow up or make a friend, but dont go hurting my teams chances just so you can voice your illogical opinion
3/13/2009 8:00:58 PM
omg, your opinion is different than mine, that means you must be retarded.
3/13/2009 8:07:07 PM
its a matter of restraining myself of posting something on the internet should my opinion be detrimental in any waypractice some of it, you'll feel mature and shit
3/13/2009 8:19:24 PM
3/13/2009 8:30:51 PM
I hope he does come back because we'll need some depth and experience. But I feel like he wants to move on, and if he's not commited to hustling all season, working with the team and new players, and playing hard next year then he should and will move on. And we'll be ok, but I think we would be better with him.
3/13/2009 9:15:55 PM
one more time:If Costner doesn't come back next year, we're going to be shallow up front. Smith @ 6'8", Horner @ 6'9" (if you can call Horner a "big"-man), and freshman Howell @ 6'8". Costner gets lazy and seems to forget he's on the court sometimes, but he has the potential to go-off. I'd much rather have him than any other mediocre big-man we might be able to land for '09. Hopefully save BC's scholarship for '10.^oh yeah, and experience. Without him, Ferguson, Horner, and Farnold are our seniors![Edited on March 13, 2009 at 9:53 PM. Reason : ]
3/13/2009 9:33:25 PM
we really aren't going to be that much worse in the frontcourt next year than we were thisSure McCauley is 6'9 but he has the athleticism of a 60 year old woman. Howell, one inch shorter or not, should be a decent replacement. The only thing I'd really worry about is experiencealso we do have this guy http://www.gopack.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=41962&SPID=3731&DB_OEM_ID=9200&ATCLID=1584965with that said, id rather not waste a scholly on Bartosz 2.0 either[Edited on March 13, 2009 at 10:40 PM. Reason : Costner didnt really play as a big man for most of this season anyway. just a slow as shit 3]
3/13/2009 10:39:44 PM
Howell will come in and compete for a starting positionthis guy can really play ball, he is just as athletic than JJ was and damn good passer[Edited on March 14, 2009 at 11:21 AM. Reason : not more]
3/14/2009 11:05:22 AM
So costner is probably coming back. I'm ok with that, as long as he stops turning the god damn ball over. Its fine if he doesn't shoot well but jesus, he was averaging about 5 a game for a stretch.
3/14/2009 11:12:43 AM
where did you hear that from
3/14/2009 11:15:19 AM
I hope Costner comes back too, we definitely need his size next year.
3/14/2009 12:25:23 PM
he's not fat of course, but he would be like the next sean may of the nba if he went...just seems to loaf around from what ive seen...he stands in that one spot at the wing to shoot his 3 pointer
3/14/2009 12:38:37 PM
i hope he does come back.
3/14/2009 1:14:16 PM
i hope he doesn't
3/14/2009 1:45:14 PM
3/14/2009 2:20:13 PM
Think about this for a minute guys: If Costner doesn't come back then Horner likely starts.Do you really want that?Because even though I am pretty sure Howell will be light years ahead of Horner, Dennis would still start.
3/14/2009 3:08:39 PM
I haven't read any of this thread.
3/14/2009 3:11:26 PM
^It's packboozie, he has nothing positive to say about Lowe and his choices.
3/14/2009 3:13:24 PM
a serious trade study of costner leaving earlypros: the sooner we get to only lowe recruits, the sooner we can get a new coachcons: without costner we have less of a chance of making the cbi
3/14/2009 3:22:39 PM
horner has been playing better than costner the past two months. i'm not really worried about losing costner. in fact, i want to lose him.
3/14/2009 3:23:45 PM
3/14/2009 3:29:57 PM
I still say we need him. We really need the depth whether he's playing well or not.
3/14/2009 3:32:31 PM
3/14/2009 3:56:59 PM
Costner is lazy and unmotivated most of the time, but if he ever gets it together he could be a great asset to NC State. I hope he stays.
3/14/2009 4:39:49 PM
I heard tings. Nothing set in stone, just based on some comments he may not have even made.

Costner is an interesting case and a double-edged sword for Sidney Lowe. He obviously didn't develop the way we would have liked (and that's on him and Lowe -- I'd include Sendek like I do for Fells/McCauley, but he really didn't get a chance his frosh year with the injury so HS is absolved in this case). Costner is honestly the only reason Lowe isn't on an INCREDIBLY hot seat right now. Without him being all world in the ACC Tourney 2 years ago Lowe hasn't done ANYTHING to show he can coach in 3 years. Then again, his lack of development is one of the reasons we, as a team, have been so disappointing the last two years.Personally, I'd like him to come back. He's a good kid who has never been in trouble, a good representative for our University as a student-athlete and a guy who CAN (key word) play well and provide depth.[Edited on March 14, 2009 at 5:30 PM. it doesn't matter how much talent he has if he doesn't ever use ithe falls apart in the face of the least little bit of adversity - if the first shot he takes in a game doesn't go in he essentially gives up right then and therei'd much rather have horner - he may have no natural skill whatsoever but damnit if he doesn't try Plus he's actually improved significantly unlike costner who seems perpetually stuck in cheezburger mode now yeah, if by some freak alignment of the fucking planets costner starts playing to his ability and like he's shown he's able to do 2 years ago, fuck yes i want him back. I just don't think that guy exists anymore
3/14/2009 6:03:02 PM
he's going to come back and show all of you. just wait.
3/14/2009 6:06:51 PM
and i'd be okay with thatit's him coming back and living up to expectations that i don't want to happen

3/23/2009 6:03:08 PM
"um...I am a shooting guard in a power forwards body...except I can't shoot, and I can't play inside at the 4 either....I have minimal dribbling skills and I pout when things aren't going my way...I am the type of player who doesn't make things happen, I wait for them to happen to me, and therefore I lose a lot" /harshseriously though, I wish he'd come back and play with a fire lit under his ass. So much potential wasted.

on the bright side, this opens up a scholarship that we are giving to a 2-star from Athens Drive

ahh okit "sounded" like trolling to me when I read itmy apologies and I agree. To me it sounds like we replaced a not-so-athletic dude with an athletic one. In the case of fergs and davis. Plus he wants to be here.[Edited on March 23, 2009 at 7:47 PM. Reason : asd]
