just to bury NYM's post forever...

^^yes
4/6/2009 5:53:07 PM
For the first time in a while, I actually had confidence in the bullpen. It's a strange feeling.
4/6/2009 6:05:12 PM
i was a little worried in the 8th just because putz labored a little through the inningotherwise, great start to the season

4/7/2009 2:59:37 PM
If you have MLB.tv you can get around that using a foreign proxy.http://www.proxy4free.comIt works fine. I've done that for FOX games for years...
4/7/2009 3:02:33 PM
So I'm in charlotte and thus blacked out of Nationals, Braves, Reds and Oriolesso using this I can watch all those games and any other regional blackouts, so I can see 162 mets games instead of just like 110 ?I would be djeternally graterful to you if that were the case
4/7/2009 3:13:37 PM
Do you have TWC in Charlotte?Cause you'll get plenty of Braves and Reds games
4/7/2009 3:21:58 PM
yeah i know all too well about the youtube video quality of peachtree tv and fsn ohioStill, we don't get MASN or SNYWith this trick, I could conceivably hear Gary, Ron and Keith for every game
4/7/2009 3:24:01 PM
yeah you could, and you could conceivably watch every game on a computer and not your TVThe thing that sucks about MLB.TV and Extra Innings on cable and satellite is that you have to buy them separateConversely, if you buy NBA League Pass through cable, and send them a copy of your cable bill, you can watch all the games online for freeWith MLB you have to pay extra...I'll probably do that again this year though]
4/7/2009 3:30:47 PM
I never miss any game I'm around for with mlb.tv. It's really easy too. I'm not a tech person but using the proxy is a piece of cake in Firefox. I've not had any problems with it. I tested it yesterday to get a locally blacked out A's game and it worked. And you can choose tv feed, so SNY is always my choice...[Edited on April 7, 2009 at 3:57 PM. Reason : my cable provider doesn't even OFFER EInnings so this is my ONLY way to watch]
4/7/2009 3:56:42 PM
my cable provider just started offering it 1 or 2 years ago...before then I think it was only available on DirectTV...last year I'd have a few games I would flip between on the TV, and have another one streaming on the laptopalso
4/7/2009 3:58:34 PM
Here is a screen cap of the HD version... TWW makes the quality crappy, but it's $$$ on the highest setting..[Edited on April 8, 2009 at 8:11 PM. Reason : dell laptop...]
4/8/2009 7:59:09 PM
are you a laptop or desktop?i fear that running video like that for 3 hrs would end up causing my laptop to overheat and shut down
4/8/2009 8:06:35 PM
Good Mets game so fartop 1st, up 2-0: Delgado bottom 1st, down 2-4: damnit Pelfrey!top 5th, up 5-4: Volquez melt downLETS GO METS(XM radio is cool)
4/8/2009 9:13:54 PM
^i heard their rates went up
4/8/2009 9:25:52 PM
already on top of the division! (i'm excluding the 3-0 Marlins because they've had no real competition...fucking Nationals didn't even put up a fight)
4/9/2009 12:59:28 AM
Watching K-Rod close this year is going to be like those "At first I was like... then I was like..." pictures so prevalent on TWW...
4/9/2009 11:23:24 AM
nice era from ollie, 2.31....OH WAIT, my bad, that's his WHIP
4/9/2009 2:35:02 PM
Oliver Perez was 50 million well spent. You guys should have signed lowe.
4/9/2009 4:13:19 PM
He only got a 3 year, $36M contract. Lowe's was 5, $60M. Pretty huge difference. I would have preferred Lowe too, but oh well...We'll be fine and he'll end up around a 4 ERA like the last two years...[Edited on April 9, 2009 at 4:16 PM. Reason : ^^ haha, his ERA is listed at 16+]
4/9/2009 4:16:27 PM
at least its not like Pavano's1 IP, 9 ERthat'll take a while to whittle down
4/9/2009 4:21:13 PM
Everything else went well tonight, the bullpen looked fantastic (a good outing from Feliciano, which we needed to see early in the season). If only Ollie didn't walk so many guys...3 of those runs scored came from walks. If those 3 walks had been outs, Mets win 6-5 (if not by more, because those bad innings would have been over a lot sooner).
4/10/2009 1:49:30 AM
I fucking hate playing the Marlins. They are all crappy hitters for average but run into so many solo HRs. Of course it would help if our bats weren't asleep.Fish will be a .500 team but will kill the Mets... again.
4/10/2009 8:47:31 PM
The Marlins are a solid team, deal with it.
4/10/2009 9:00:34 PM
they play baseball the right way
4/10/2009 9:03:46 PM
I mean, I don't always agree with the swing for the fences mentality, but I don't see how any baseball fan in this day and age can hate such a low budget low drama team.
4/10/2009 9:05:04 PM
Again the Mets were only two pitches too many from winning the game (the two that went over the fence).I'm really excited about our offense and bullpen but this starting rotation needs to get it together...Johan can't start every game. Why is it that the Mets seemingly never get to start the season at home? Home starts can create early momentum, just like these Marlins have right now.
4/11/2009 2:12:08 AM
on tbs todaywould be a good start to win the first two series
4/12/2009 10:40:48 AM
Fucking Murphy... Johan gonna lose and give up 0 ER...
4/12/2009 2:09:37 PM
yeah wtfjohnson is on today too
4/12/2009 2:14:05 PM
oh my godrewind to the crowd shot after the first Mets hitjabba the fuckin hutt without a shirt on
4/12/2009 2:21:57 PM
First loss for Johan since June 28 of last year... thanks Murph...
4/12/2009 2:58:40 PM
theres no shame in losing to Josh Johnson, he's just that good
4/12/2009 3:01:15 PM
I think it sucks that a pitcher can get the loss with 0 earned runs
4/12/2009 8:30:53 PM
4/13/2009 8:06:26 AM
you mean by being honest?most guys on TWW could have caught that popup, which would have ended the inning.murphy knows he was the goat for that one yesterday
4/13/2009 8:10:05 AM
Still shouldn't have said it the way he said it.
4/13/2009 8:12:28 AM
Horrible way to start the game, horrible way to open the new stadium.
4/13/2009 7:15:38 PM
I jokingly said Jody Gerut would be the first to hit a HR in Citi Field when I saw the schedule come out because he fucking KILLED the Mets in a series last year...I never thought he actually would be the guy though...
4/13/2009 7:41:29 PM
Goddamn, why the fuck is Pelfrey our #2?
4/13/2009 7:43:53 PM
Pelfraud
4/13/2009 7:45:17 PM
BOOM BABY!!!! DAVID WRIGHT MVP!!!!![Edited on April 13, 2009 at 8:50 PM. Reason : =]
4/13/2009 8:22:50 PM
My vote for MVP is Emilio Bonafacio. Much like Willie Harris, his season will be made by the 18 or 19 games against the Mets and then he'll go back to tripping over himself and drooling down his chin at the plate against the Phillies...
4/14/2009 1:17:07 PM
damn I picked up Pelfrey because I figured this was a breakout year for him... whats up with that Mets fans
4/14/2009 1:32:26 PM
i have been telling people that i dont expect him to have as good of a season this year
4/14/2009 3:06:11 PM
things that make me LOL
