I like the JJ Abram shows I've watched o far (Alias and Lost), but I just can't watch this. The idea was cool 15 years ago. It was called the X-files.

I like this guys recap of the show each week:http://blog.zap2it.com/ithappenedlastnight/2008/09/fringe-bad-vibr.html

boo.V at one point it was: "the observer" < "cigarette smoking man"[Edited on October 1, 2008 at 10:20 PM. Reason : too lazy to fix broken images]

one broken image is less than another broken image

Not a big surprise, but it got picked up for the full season.http://www.cliqueclack.com/tv/2008/10/01/fringe-picked-up-for-a-full-season/
10/1/2008 11:59:44 PM
Yeah, following House has helped it out a bit. FOX has been doing well on Tuesday nights from the ratings I have seen, especially in the 18-45 range.
10/2/2008 12:03:26 AM
I don't really like how they will end the episode with a semi-cliff hanger, and then continue on like nothing happened only to explain what happened about 15-20 minutes into it with a brief flashback
10/15/2008 1:03:08 PM
i like the show but i'm fucking tired of "i've done an experiment on this before" - get rid of grandpa
10/15/2008 11:23:51 PM
this show was inspired by karl pilkington's 'cheeky freak of the week'.true story.
10/16/2008 6:00:53 AM
^^ lol, yeah I kinda agree"omg we've never seen anything like this before, but luckily our mentally unstable scientist did this exact same experiment about 30 years ago"I did notice the observer for the first time in this episode...was he in the others before the episode about him?
10/16/2008 8:15:33 AM
I think they are missing out on this shows potential--it has everything in place to be good, but they've been dropping the ball
10/16/2008 11:54:04 AM
I still don't see where they are going with the whole "pattern" thing, because basically all it's been are a bunch of experiments that were continued after the dad quit
10/16/2008 4:49:19 PM
i don't mind the "ive done this before" part of it w/ the old mani kinda thought the story was that all of the weird shit they are seeing happen came from the experiments that he did a long time ago, so i don't see it so much off-the-wall that he seems to know some procedures
10/16/2008 5:35:14 PM
^ yeah, i figured he was a large part of the pattern. whatever, it will be explained sometime. hopefully.
10/16/2008 7:23:33 PM
i swear she's the worst FBI agent character ever created"Hi! I'm an FBI agent! Please answer all of my stupid and annoying questions that you should answer because I'm and FBI Agent!!!""Nah...I don't think so""Oh...okay..."
10/21/2008 9:36:40 PM
this show can be too gross... They need to leave more to the imagination...
10/21/2008 9:43:26 PM
We didn't actually see the head explode, just the aftermath. We didn't actually see the inside of that girl's head.Looks like there are reruns the next few weeks in part because I'm sure of the World Series that was scheduled during the time months ago and to prepare for sweeps.
10/22/2008 11:42:00 AM
This show got really shitty really fast. This girl is annoying as fuck.
12/5/2008 7:45:31 PM
I thought the last episode was kick ass though with a good cliff hanger 'til the new year.
12/5/2008 10:09:05 PM
saw a commercial for fringe & it got me wondering if it ever entered the realm of reality at some point beyond the first few episodes?
2/3/2009 9:24:47 PM
Actually, I think it has gotten better. I've watched them all. The first epiodes before the break were slow, but the final episode before the break tied them all together and was awesome and the first episode back was pretty good. I really liked last nights episode and next weeks touches on what happened in the final episode. There's starting to get to be more of an ongoing story line which has helped.
2/4/2009 11:19:47 AM
I enjoy the show. I like the idea of where it is going, and the connect the dot story line that is going. do I understand it all, no, part of the attraction. Do I sit back and wonder "how is it all possible?" Hell no, it's a sci-fi tv show. III
2/4/2009 11:29:56 AM
the old man is the best part of the showreminds me of a lot of professors i have had
2/4/2009 1:32:56 PM
I like this show -especially now that they are answering more Qs (e.g. John Scott). But then again I was a huge Xfiles fan back in tha day
2/4/2009 7:24:09 PM
Awesome episode last night. Thanks American Idol for ruining television until you are over. Fringe won't be back until April.
2/11/2009 9:15:38 AM
Last night was actually pretty good, probably the best episode of the series. The reveal at the end was very well done.
2/11/2009 9:19:03 AM
Very good episode...left me wondering... III
2/11/2009 5:00:09 PM
so is Astrid working for Massive Dynamic?[Edited on February 11, 2009 at 6:15 PM. Reason : .]

The significance wasn't the word Ability it was the fact that the 'y' character was raised on his typewriter just like it was in the ZFT book. Meaning that the book was probably written by Walter. At least that's what I think you're supposed to infer.
2/11/2009 6:56:55 PM
Ohh. I was wondering why they focused on the Y so much. I figured throughout when he was talking about the book that he had written it, but I didn't put two and two together from the y. What was with "ability" though? That was the name of the episode. My current theory is that somehow people from one dimension have entered the other. Some people are aware of this (Like the hairless dude from a while ago) while others are unaware (like the main girl), but they have powers in the other dimension.
2/11/2009 7:03:37 PM
i guess her "ability" to turn the lights offim thinking that more people will show up that had that cortexiphan drug during a trial back in the early 80s like they were talking about as new episodes come along
2/11/2009 7:30:32 PM
perhaps the "observer" is from another dimension
2/11/2009 9:27:30 PM
maybe they're going to merge the show with Heroes.Get it, abilities??.....
2/12/2009 1:39:43 PM
I'm still unsure if Olivia has an ability to turn off lights (not discounting it but you never know when a show like this is trying to trick the viewer). Maybe the test was to see if Olivia will stand up to an insurmountable challenge since she's supposed to be a "warrior."
2/12/2009 3:51:34 PM
Well she turned them off to turn off the bomb. Was it my imagination, or was The Observer there when the guy at the newstand collapsed--I'm pretty sure he was one of the faces that the camera panned. I also feel he is one from the different world or dimension.I don't think those with the drug will necessarily have powers, their brain power just hasn't been limited.
2/12/2009 4:46:59 PM
Did she turn off the lights or was it programed to go off right before it was supposed to explode? I could the writers going either way with the show.
2/12/2009 4:53:30 PM
2/12/2009 4:59:31 PM
Show is back on! however this last episode is pissing me off! So far there have been three times that it has had inaccurate scenes. The kid in the bed the notebook was on one side then when she went outside it was on the other side of the boy. then he was leaning on the opposite side of the door frame.
4/8/2009 11:35:52 AM
who says he didn't move the notebook?Anyway, I think The Observer's Mini-Me is pretty cool--I hope there is more of him.
4/8/2009 12:53:25 PM
solid episode last night, it really pissed me off that American Idol ran late like 7 minutes so I couldn't watch the ending until this morning when it was posted on hulu
4/8/2009 2:20:39 PM
the hulu feed is jumpy as hell, guess ill try another day
4/8/2009 3:16:51 PM
i haven't watched since the first episode, but i was curious about the pictures they show before/after the commercials. Looks like it's a code that has been cracked, but it's not really too exciting. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/04/ars-cipher-expert-cracks-tv-fringe-code.ars
4/8/2009 3:20:25 PM
i love this show. I think when that CIA guy said "We've got another one" or whatever referring to the kid, it means there are more like the watcher & the kid in the world somewhere. That to me is a freaking cool/scary thought
4/8/2009 3:34:36 PM
I'm a little surprised they didn't touch on her "light" ability at all this episodeBut I agree, I really enjoy this show. They seemed to have toned down Charlie's explanation of every single thing that is said in the show.I do hope they have a master plan however, and not just random "pattern" deals without ever going any deeper.a
4/9/2009 12:03:16 PM
they kinda made fun of themselves, in my mind at least, at one pointthey were about to explain something to Asterisk or whatever her name is, and she was like "yea im aware of it.."
4/9/2009 4:24:28 PM
Just so you know you can catch these episodes the day after they come out on fox's on demand website
4/10/2009 4:23:50 AM
i thought they waited a week to put up the new episodes
4/10/2009 12:11:59 PM
^^ or off hulu
