i hope mohinder doesnt make a power removing drug that is used to defeat whoever the big villian is.

what was the deal in the last episode of season 2 where right after Nathan gets shot, Angela was on the phone with someone saying it had to be done like she was behind it somehow. shiiiiit
9/23/2008 9:42:19 AM
Could it be possible peter isn't inside anyones body? Peter saw himself in the mirror, maybe it is just Candace's power. Sylar grabbed that one, its possible future Peter grabbed it from him. He could have just evolved the power to the point where he can make a permanent illusion.

I liked the small role of William Katt (greatest american hero) but Nikki's power just came out of nowhere. I hope we at least get an explanation behind how she got it at some point. How did Peter shooting Nathan cause all of those Level 5ers break free? The mother mentioned the Butterfly Effect at some point but I must just be leaving out a step. Or was that going to happen anyways and we haven't seen what has changed yet?The mother's dream had Adam, Matt's dad, Nikki, and one of the Level 5 peeps who I can't remember. But I guess we aren't getting Echo from the webisodes who I didn't see in the files or at the end of the 2nd episode at the gas station.I hope we get more George Takei and Malcolm McDowell.
9/23/2008 11:13:09 AM
A few things:1) I may be mistaken, but I thought that Hiro's dad gave control of the company to Hiro's sister?2) When Sylar was talking to Claire, he was saying that he didn't have his other powers right? How come he still had telekinesis? And where did he get that invisibility power from?3) I'm thinking that perhaps each of Nikki's personalities has a different power? Like regular Nikki is just normal. Jessica has super strength. Now Tracy has freezing. So in the long run I'm thinking that Nikki has to overcome all of her other personalities and is going to be able to use all of their abilities and get pretty powerful.4) Nathan woke up shortly after future Peter kissed him on the head. Somehow, he got Linderman's ability. Remember back in Season 1 when Linderman brought that plant back to life? And he healed Nathan's wife's legs too.5) Is it possible that future Peter now has Candace's ability? Maybe that is how he hides the scar on his face?6) Present Peter can't have all of his powers when trapped in the body of the bald guy. Else, he probably would have stopped the villains from killing those people at the gas station... he would be able to destroy them. Perhaps when Peter is in the bald guy's body he gets the scar on his face and it somehow carries over?7) Of the escaped villains, there is the black guy who does sound manipulation (unless they changed the actor, this isn't the same guy from the webisodes), the pyro guy, and "The German" who controls peoples fear. There was a little confusion about this on the previous page. I don't remember what the bald guy's powers are.8) Maybe it wasn't future Ando who zapped Hiro... maybe it was either Sylar or Peter using Candace's perception power to look like Ando. Or maybe it was Ando and he got injected with Mohinder's serum.[Edited on September 23, 2008 at 11:21 AM. Reason : And it is about damn time Mohinder and Ando got powers.]
9/23/2008 11:19:51 AM
peter told claire to stay in odessa, so she ended up being there for sylar to find her and get her power. sylar, now equipped with her power decides to go on a spree to get as many more as he can. so he goes to that facility and tries to get the level 5 guys but they escape in the process.
9/23/2008 11:20:16 AM
Thought on the Nikki/Tracy plotline....Nikki had dual personalities (Jessica) tied into the death of her sister (possibly a twin) so maybe this is who we're looking at now. Maybe the sister/twin didn't actually die and wound up growing up in foster care (or perhaps raised covertly by the Company).
9/23/2008 11:32:14 AM
^^ that's right. I was overlooking the most obvious plot in the first episode.
9/23/2008 11:35:14 AM
9/23/2008 11:39:46 AM
5x^1) He did. She broke down and gave it back. Sulu said it was a test, and it was meant to pass to Hiro the entire time.2) At the very end of Season 2, he was sitting in an alley, and starting trying to move a tin can, and it moved. That was the very last scene. We were never told why he lost his powers, but seeing as how he stole claire's just by looking at his brain, i'm guessing he "remembered" what that very first guy's brain looked like, and modified his. 3) Yes. That would seem likely. I doubt she will become another peter/sylar though. They honestly just need to drop her, she's a waste. And was it just me, or did she look horrible last night?4) There are too many people with overlapping abilities, so they could easily introduce another hiro with a healing ability. But they could link it to linderman as well I suppose. Or maybe Claire learns how to project her healing, and he stole that from her as well.5) ^ corrected me6) I'm thinking it's just his conscience in that guy's body, instead of his whole being. I think us seeing Peter is just to keep from confusing viewers.7) I swear the black guy was able to manifest people's fears, while the sound manipulation guy (aka the one Bennet said "you don't want to know") is the one Peter is now in. Although I don't know how destructive sound manipulation could be, moreso than fireballs, but we'll see I'm sure.8) I think it's obvious that douchebag's serum gets out, and we're going to have a "city of heroes" type atmosphere for a few episodes. And to the mention above of "I hope he doesn't develop a serum that just takes the bad guy's power away", I guarantee that's what will happen. They'll put it in the water or something to make everyone normal again. That's one plot I think was a bad idea.Personally, I can't stand Mohinder. I think he is the whinest character, and is just used to kill time.Oh, and did we ever determine if the guy in the very beginning with the hat and trench coat was Sylar? When he was coming for Molly? Because that's the exact outfit that Peter wore when he shot Nathan.[Edited on September 23, 2008 at 11:41 AM. Reason : .]
9/23/2008 11:40:06 AM
On number 6 I meant that since he is in the bald guy's body, he doesn't have his healing power, so maybe (as the bald guy) he get's sliced with Hiro's sword or something and can't regenerate. I'm just trying to think of ways that he could get that scar.

9/23/2008 12:13:57 PM
If you watch the 10 minute webisodes you'll see what that mutation does (although it is with a different guy).
9/23/2008 12:36:19 PM
sound manipulation --durr! he's the heroes version of banshee. remember, everyone in this show has a counterpart in the xmen universe lol
9/23/2008 2:06:08 PM
if you guys ever watched "The Wire", the little black guy was Marlo...one of the main characters
9/23/2008 2:10:29 PM
^noticed that. It's kind of offputting that he's not as thugged out in this.
9/23/2008 2:42:17 PM
9/23/2008 8:38:07 PM
i'll read all the other comments and theories when i have more time...but i just LOVE the fact that Sylar doesn't eat their brains "That's disgusting..."
9/23/2008 11:09:44 PM
9/24/2008 1:08:19 AM
i think it was ando, in the future, but a bleak future where the formula mohinder helped release was all over the populace & turned good people into evil
9/24/2008 1:13:11 AM
im sure hiro goes evil cause he is getting impatient and greedyhe ignored his fathers wishes and only cares about his own destiny and doing something great
9/24/2008 1:23:45 AM
but his pops knew he'd open the safei think mohinder's the one getting crazy - he worries me
9/24/2008 1:25:11 AM
^^^^^ Yeah, I thought that line was funny.
9/24/2008 2:41:26 AM
^^ I agree. I think Mohinder will be the "bad guy" and start making more people into "superheroes" with his injection. I see Ando thinking, "what have I done lately to help? I have no powers" and he goes to Mohinder to get shot up, thus giving him red lightning hands.
9/24/2008 7:00:01 AM
i don't understand how quickly Mohinder "switched sides". It's like there wasn't even a hint of hesitance - literally up until the moment he found out how to capture the enzyme he was saying "i'm doing this to find a cure for you!", then the second he figured it out he was like "I CAN RULE THE WORLD, MUUUHHAHAHAHAHA"
9/24/2008 7:16:56 AM
yeah, for that matter a lot of people started doing things completely out of character without much conflict. The mohinder of seasons 1 and 2 would have spent half the season hemming and hawing about what to do.Nathan, knowing full well that there are those with powers of healing comes back from being nearly dead (for the SECOND time), but this time has a religious conversion?Sylar seems to be ready to do whatever his new mama wants with just her word (ok, likely more will be revealed next week)there were more, but i can't remember them right now.one question, i may have missed something, but who the hell dropped parkman off in africa? presumably peter, but once he realized how he fucked up by messing with the past, you'd think that'd be an easy one to fix.
9/24/2008 7:49:04 AM
^it was future peter when he questioned him about the weapon
9/24/2008 8:05:55 AM
9/24/2008 8:12:30 AM
I am quickly growing sick of the Hiro/Ando storyline. They are always going off on some annoying, season long quest to find their "destiny" that has little to do with any of the other main characters
9/24/2008 8:47:12 AM
So did they sum it up last season that the symbol with the "S" was basically just a sign of Adam? I mean, it was on his sword in Japan, but they haven't said any more about it.And are they EVER going to talk about the f-ing eclipse that was supposed to be so important?
9/24/2008 9:04:27 AM
I thought the symbol just meant godsend in japanese
9/24/2008 9:16:06 AM
9/24/2008 10:10:55 AM
^^ oh, was that it? I thought it meant something else, seeing how it was EVERYWHERE in the first season^ Does she have that power? I didn't recall that. So she was like Eve? Why when Parkman was questioning her didn't she just tell him to stop, instead of almost blow a vessel trying to stop him from reading her mind? And yeah, Peter has been a plot hole send day 1, because the ability to absorb all powers is way too powerful. I like that Sylar has to actually "kill" the person to learn their ability, so he has to be able to overpower them, but peter can just run by and he's got them all. And I don't know what happened to superman, but i'm so glad he's gone[Edited on September 24, 2008 at 10:20 AM. Reason : .]
9/24/2008 10:20:38 AM
^^ ah maybe that's it, i've forgotten what power she had.
9/24/2008 10:55:53 AM
i don't think she has that power. she has the power to dream and see possible futures i think.
9/24/2008 11:12:34 AM
^ yeah, which is why she knew peter wasn't current peter
9/24/2008 11:24:31 AM
sidenote: I love the heroes' threads on TWW. they are pretty much 98% real discussion and brainstorming ideas/theories. They really help me understand the show more. [Edited on September 24, 2008 at 11:25 AM. Reason : .]
9/24/2008 11:25:36 AM
This season is going to blow. Too many story lines. Too many characters with bullshit powers.Too many "oh look! We're bringing back characters from the dead for no reason at all just so we can continue to wank off all over the story"Don't get me wrong, I like this show and it's already set up to Tivo, but turning this show into a soap with lousy made for TV fx just pisses me off.
9/24/2008 12:04:15 PM
yeah angela's power is to dream the future. thats why she said "where do you think you got your first power from?"
9/24/2008 12:40:00 PM
9/24/2008 1:01:08 PM
you can't just throw "jumping the shark" out there just because you don't like the direction the show is going in.....what, specifically, was shark-jumpy about the first 2 episodes?
9/24/2008 1:37:55 PM
prolly wouldnt be much of a show if peter wasnt a little bitch
9/24/2008 1:41:30 PM
I'm sorry...wasn't Nathan treated with some of Claire's blood last season in order to cure him of all those burns? I could have sworn that was the case. Therefore it stands to reason in the realm of the show that:A) there are some residual effects to him having claire's blood tranfusion...hence when they removed the bullets from his corpse he started to regenerate.B) that Linderman is all a figment of his imagination...seeing as how no one else can see him.
9/24/2008 2:58:05 PM
I definitely agree with you on both of those points. Something was actually said that made me go, "aha! so that's a residual effect of Claire's earlier transfusion with Nathan." I want to say it was during the scene of Mrs. Petrelli and Peter talking in the hallway about Claire not being where she was supposed to be "even though it wasn't needed."I like the introduction of the shephard in Africa. The Knox group--ehhh, but I'm interested to learn how Future Peter was able to put Peter in the guy's body, and watch them get chased, captured, etc.I'm really iffy on Tracy Sanders character...but having seen Linderman's vault/office showing how he had basically arranged Nikki and DL's whole relationship it makes me think that Tracy is either the "dead" twin (Jessica) that wasn't really dead, or a clone that developed a different power from Nikki altogether. Or hell...maybe there were triplets. But I'm still meh about her being back.Mohinder...seriously upset with where they're taking his character.Sylar...yep...love him more and more each time.

9/24/2008 4:58:40 PM
^^^ Nathan was treated with Adam's blood, although your theory is probably still sound.[Edited on September 24, 2008 at 5:17 PM. Reason : ^]
9/24/2008 5:16:50 PM
I kinda agree with Yoda. It's like the writers just made up the craziest shit they could possibly think of, applied it to every character that has ever been in the show and then said fuck it we'll make up connections between em all as we go along. With that said, I'm still going to watch it.
9/24/2008 7:08:04 PM
^^that's right! Man it's been awhile
9/24/2008 10:49:04 PM
How long does blood stay in the human body before it is "replaced"? Does anyone have an idea? Because I thought it was quite a while in Season 2 between the time that Adam's blood regenerated Nathan and the time that he got shot?
9/24/2008 10:56:40 PM
^It depends on what component of the blood you're talking about and which component held the actual healing power. For example, platelets have a different half-life in the body than red blood cells do. Of course this is assuming that a typical component such as that holds the healing power and not some 'special antibody' like everybody seems to have in this show. In that case who knows what the half-life would be.Ah, the realities of being a med student. The writers should really do more research when they talk about these things in the show (ie Mohinder's research too) because it pisses off people like us. While I sit there watching Benet get Claire's blood and come back to life all the while I'm thinking how is he not having a transfusion reaction? But I guess that would also be part of the healing power of the blood...[Edited on September 24, 2008 at 11:20 PM. Reason : .]
