just saw the replay, that looked like a clear penalty to me, the ref was in a terrible position, but it was definitely a clumsy "tackle" and worthy of a penalty call

Lehmann always looks shaky. He's a good keeper, but he's way too eccentric in the back and a lot of the time his team can pay for it. I don't really see that happening in this match or really any of the group stage matches, but if/when Germany advances it will become an issue.

after doing a quick search online, it doesnt look like he's hurt and is listed as a sub

hopefully he'll get some action, he's pretty much the only reason I watch france play

i watch for Makelele. he's the ultimate point guard of soccer. if he was a scorer in addition to being a a great ball handler, he'd be the Michael Jordan of soccer. probably the reason i obssess about him is that i was the shittiest ball handler back in my soccer days, and he is awesome at everything i sucked at. i played left wing and struck for about .9 goals per game, but couldn't dribble and pass worth a damn.
