It's worth pointing out that a varying number of the "professional critics" on RottenTomatoes are college students and internet movie geeks who run their own criticism sites and therefore are "professional."I mean, spookyjon has reviews at RT. I love him, but he's not a professional critic.

^^ LOL. Only a true bitch would remember something like that and use it against me.

^^true, but you can select a tab that includes only the "top reviewers" which i think includes only professional critics from the bigger papers.

^ to be fair, I probably trust you and spooks over a number of those critics

I'm trying to help you, Heather.Although I do agree that the Jo(h)ns have better opinions than at least half of the RT critics.

Neil MarshallThe Descent -> Doomsday

I thought Doomsday was pretty fucking cool.Not really good.But definitely fun.

Yeah, Doomsday is quality.It knows exactly what kind of movie it wants to be and it's a fine example of that kind of movie.I actually think I laughed more during Doomsday (from intentional comedy moments...it's campy, not bad) than I did during any proper comedy this year. ]

I wasn't feeling doomsday, perhaps I need to rewatch it. I usually enjoy lame campy fun.
