3I'm diggin' the new portion of 840 or whatnot connecting 40 to Bryan Blvd... I can make it from my place in Charlotte to the folks' place with five stoplights!
1/8/2009 11:45:07 PM
Yeah, it's pretty sweet. Too bad my GPS doesn't have it on there, and I don't feel like spending $80 for the update
1/9/2009 2:23:47 PM
And with the new changes at PTI I no longer have any damned lights from Burlington to work!
1/9/2009 4:37:45 PM
the changes on 40 are so confusing
1/9/2009 4:42:38 PM
It's mostly confusing because they changed it once for the I-40 loop thingy and made the old part Business 40 but then they failed to build enough sound barriers to adequately deal with the number of trucks and cars that are practically now plowing through neighborhoods. So due to the uproar they changed Business 40 back to I-40 and are just making the new thing the loop. The catch is that they haven't changed all the signs yet so unless you know where you are going it can be very daunting.

first time I came back from Winston I had no idea where I was and ended up out at Emerald Point
1/10/2009 7:48:32 PM
I hate coming back from that way. In early December I had to go to Winston and I didn't know that I had to take the exit to stay on the 40 that I was used to so instead I had to take the long ass way around to get back to Burlington.

My sis is moving to a place near UNCG. Any good bars thataway?
1/17/2009 4:37:13 PM
westerwood is dirty and cheap
1/17/2009 8:41:19 PM
^^ Old Town on Campus is pretty much the only good bar over that way these days. Blind Tiger is still a good place to go see live music, but it can get pretty creepy. Other than that, most of the good bars are downtown, which is only like a 3 minute drive from UNCG. Shit, you could almost walk to Natty Greene's from campus. The best Sushi restaurant on the planet is on Tate St. though, so if she likes Sushi she will be VERY happy[Edited on January 26, 2009 at 10:09 AM. 1/26/2009 6:40:19 PM

1/27/2009 11:00:27 AM
natty greens is cool if you can get away from the trendy crowd, find a corner to just chill
1/27/2009 9:33:34 PM
if you had a garmin, i could have updated it for you. but alas you have a magellan.
1/27/2009 10:40:41 PM
^^ the only thing I do at Natty's is play shuffleboard. I want a shuffleboard table SO BAD
1/28/2009 11:08:57 AM
Just Moved into Palladium Park... I live directly beside a Buffalo Wild Wings... I could hardly be happier...
1/28/2009 4:21:08 PM

1/28/2009 4:38:35 PM
fwiw, Natty's is opening in Raleigh
1/28/2009 5:14:33 PM
^^^ yeah, and that Buffalo Wild Wings has some HOT ASS waitresses. They may or may not be in High School though, so don't even ask. Just go with it.^^ yeah, I actually priced some out not too long ago. They are just a bitch to move so I am waiting until I settle into a place for a while before I buy one.
1/29/2009 1:43:17 PM
brian you live in gso now? wtf?
1/29/2009 1:48:31 PM
Yup, I start my job on monday.^^ if you ever want to hit up BWW and hit on the waitresses lemme know
1/29/2009 7:47:41 PM
When I worked in High Point we used to hit happy hour there at least once a week. Definitely nice eye candy over there. But like I said, you gotta be careful. One of my coworkers wanted to ask this waitress that was flirting with him for her number. I told him he better let me ask her how old she was first. I asked her, she was 16.

Is it me or is there a total lack of a solid rock station here? There is like 3 classic rock channels, but nothing that plays newer stuff.
2/2/2009 4:43:12 PM
where in greensboro, besides REI and great outdoor, might one find a snowboarding helmet? are there any other outdoors shops or maybe ski/snowboard shops anywhere? i have no clue. i heard someone talking about a ski shop once, but no idea where it is. yes i know i can google but i figured if someone else liked snow and/or outdoor sports they could maybe point me to a place that they are familiar with and like!
2/2/2009 5:12:19 PM
I think there is a snowboard/skate shop at the Palladium in High Point
2/2/2009 5:28:46 PM

2/2/2009 5:42:00 PM

2/2/2009 5:51:01 PM

2/2/2009 8:28:43 PM
Has anyone eaten at the Green Valley Grill? I have an event there this week.
2/2/2009 8:38:09 PM
I have eaten at GVG a few times. It was right across the street from my old office so we ate lunch there quite a bit. It's really good, especially if you aren't paying. It's pretty pricey.[Edited on February 3, 2009 at 9:28 AM. Reason : a]
2/3/2009 9:28:17 AM
Went to GVG last nite. It was pretty good, some things were hit or miss but I would go again.
2/8/2009 11:41:26 AM
I really like their bar area. Pretty cool to go up there at night and just get a couple appetizers and drink. Lots of high class tail
2/8/2009 5:02:19 PM
There was some high class tail
2/8/2009 5:07:52 PM
Lots of hot rich women stay at the O'Henry when they are in town for business.
2/9/2009 10:20:30 AM
2/9/2009 12:19:06 PM
Not to mention Greensboro College was having their winter ball.

2/9/2009 7:33:58 PM
Has anyone been to the Farmer's Market out near the airport?
2/9/2009 7:55:52 PM
the restaurant or the actual market?
2/9/2009 7:58:04 PM
Actual market. I would assume they are all local growers. Any organic?
2/9/2009 8:09:29 PM
ohhh i was just asking my mom about this today. anyway, i don't have an answer i was just thinking about it as well.
2/10/2009 12:00:15 AM
Obama went there when he was in town. I doubt he will post here though.
2/10/2009 9:46:44 AM
Ive been to the farmers market by the Airport, it was mostly local farmers. Didnt notice if any of the product was organic because when I go Im mostly looking for plants for our garden not to eat. On the farmers market website they have contact info (336) 605-9157. They should be able to answer your questions like that.If they dont you could always try the curb market as well, although thats only open up in the summer time.
2/10/2009 10:28:26 AM
I sent this to Hockey, but since EMCE has been good enough to help me with access to the old school section here is some info about the Farmer's Market along with some of the local growers here in Greensboro.
2/10/2009 3:16:56 PM
