Yeah, I suppose, and I should know better than to go by anecdotal evidence like I did. Either way, one thing I do know is that when I was in love, I would've chosen the girl over the family (and everything else in life) and the decision wouldn't have even been close. I think she's just not feeling it and you might want to just cut your losses.

Yup, most of y'all were right: it's over.

Maybe she was speaking the truth, or maybe she found someone else. I guess I'll find out soon.

The odd thing is that I don't feel bad right now because it hit me so hard when she mentioned slowing down.

I'm an indian married to a white chick.

I have one cousin who married a white guy, and another one who married a black guy.

They were older than me, and both of those cases created a lot of... problems...

but they set the precedent, so there was no drama with me.

Being a prof is only bad if you think that work is just a place to try to make lots of money.

I want my life to have meaning, and I would not give two shits if I ended up making 65k a year if it meant that I could make some contribution to science. I would wake up every day and love going to my job.

In the long run, money does not make people happy.
