The whole West side seemed to be full and it was only 14,000?
4/17/2008 11:41:06 AM
I'll go with 15,900
4/17/2008 11:45:57 AM
well total capacity is around 60,000 and assuming the upper and lower decks hold about the same amount . . . 14,000 x 4 = 56,000. So it's probably a decent estimate
4/17/2008 11:53:49 AM
i looked around and I've seen several different estimates....ranging from 14,000 to 15,000.

Since I went to the UNC school of stadium attendance estimations, my guess is 57,000. We'll call it capacity but print 57,000 to be on the safe side. Don't want anyone calling us out for "over estimating"

10,000. Only 14 or 15 showed up last year and they had the embers play before and we had a new coach. this year there won't be as much excitement!

people are desperate to see some FOOTBALL after our travesty of a bball season!

I'm bidding high and saying 22,000 die-hard will hold it down.I however won't be there as I will be in a lab, working.Stupid.
4/19/2008 8:53:38 AM
17,000.....but it will look closer to 20,000
4/19/2008 9:14:09 AM
my estimate is 8,500

I am fat enough to count as two people. If I take up two seats should that boost attendance?I am heading out soon.

picking up my jumbo tailgate special and miller lite and then TO THE CARTER WOOOOOOO
4/19/2008 10:12:51 AM
What are all these estimations? How many points our opponents will score on us this year?
4/19/2008 10:36:42 AM
^ i think it was made quite clear that they are attendance estimates for the spring game.

Game is being "broadcast" on gopack/packpass. Anyone have any sneaky way to rebroadcast that to the rest of us?tl - 17000
4/19/2008 1:05:44 PM
I'm watching it on PackPass. Pretty good video coverage, but Tim Peeler needs to stick to writing ... he's not much of broadcaster.Wow, Pierson just missed a 25 yard field goal. Looks like the kicking game is back to being a shitfest this year.
4/19/2008 1:31:21 PM
First half impressions:Beck will have decent numbers, but he has some of the worst fundamentals ive ever seen at QB. He'll make some plays, but you can't have consistent success with those fundamentals.Russell Wilson showed very little, but it wasn't entirely his fault. He rarely had time to make anything happen, as the first team defense was bringing some incredible heat early on. He made a few plays with his legs, and throws a really, really nice ball however.Burke, so far, is looking good. Really good. He reminds me a lot of Evans with a stronger arm. He makes quick decisions, and throws a pretty accurate ball. While he doesn't have a cannon arm (Wilson/Beck) it's not as weak as many were making it out to be. Definitely surprised here. Our kicking game is going to be an adventure, but Jeff Ruiz seems to have a lock on the punting job. He doesn't get a ton of distance, but is hanging it up pretty well. Finally, spring football is a joke. I'm watching every second of it, but it's sloppy, and downright painful at times.

i'm back. we left at halftime..QB play was inconsistent for every guy. It will be painful again this season.Donald Bowens will be our next big receiver... he is the best in that position, by far..[Edited on April 19, 2008 at 2:38 PM. Reason : yep]

I'm hoping Geron James can get back in with the team. He was a solid WR before he left and it appears he has bulked up some but kept his speed. Our WR core will be solid, Spencer looked good today and Jay Smith almost had a nice one-handed grab but the throw was pretty bad.Wasn't impressed with Wilson though, I did like his mobility, but he wasn't throwing it well except for his side-armed pass in the 2nd half. Burke surprised me with how well he was playing, and Beck actually was surprising as well except on a few bone-headed plays that reminded me why he struggled last year.
4/19/2008 3:10:33 PM
Everyone has been saying how well Wilson performed in practice and scrimmages.I'm guessing he was nervous with all the people out there with their eye on him. Even so, all the QBs looked suspect at times..
4/19/2008 3:13:06 PM
Burke throws a last-second prayer for a TD to George Bryan. NC STATE WINS
4/19/2008 3:14:16 PM
^ How did Burke look suspect? He wasn't great, but was solid as hell and even showed some good mobility when pressed. I'm still hoping Wilson wins out (he definitely picked up his play in the two-minute offense) but Burke was the best QB out there today.[Edited on April 19, 2008 at 3:21 PM. Reason : ]

i was at the scrimmage last week, wilson looked a whole lot better then.
4/19/2008 3:32:51 PM
burke made some dumbbbbbb throws that got through somehow, make those in conference play and youre gettin a pick six every timeWilson had no one that could make any plays at the receiver spot it seemed, altho his mobility still looks like its his best feature, decent passer but his height hurtsBeck...well he did decent, nothing really that impressed me, he's still got a ways to goBowens is the man at the WR spot and Eugene's impressiveDefensive wise, our secondary will struggle but the Dline and LB look fairly stablespecial teams will suck.btwGlennon is ridiculously tall, looks to be adding someeee weight, still needs moreManning is a LOT bigger than I pictured him at and DuJuans arms are HUGE to be a safetythat is all for now[Edited on April 19, 2008 at 3:35 PM.
