any of the wizards you fought in sacrifice towards the end that had the fucking rediculous maximum level spells and creatures, I'll never forget when stratos' wizard first cast tornado on my army and we all ended up being thrown clear across to the far ends of the level, thats when I knew this game was fucking awesome[Edited on March 18, 2008 at 3:49 PM. Reason : god damn I love that game]
3/18/2008 3:48:50 PM
Holy crap, and here I thought I was the only person on the planet to ever play that game.

3/18/2008 5:50:14 PM
it is a pretty good game and was relatively fun multiplayer too.[Edited on March 18, 2008 at 6:21 PM. Reason : though sometimes a bit frustrating.]

this thread is making me want to break out some of my old games

The skeleton boss from the original Wizards & Warriors on NES is pretty memorable because I remember how pissed off I got trying to beat him.
3/18/2008 6:48:19 PM
i second ninja gaiden...especially if you count the master ninja challengesI can't remember if i was ever able to beat the final boss in this video , fucking nutshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nMj87a26HQ&feature=related

Dragon's Lair on the NES had to be by far one of the most retarded games I've ever played.
3/19/2008 6:56:36 PM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tejP0L5XbKQI think meta ridley may be the most memorable for prime for me, I guess cause you kept reading about his wicked enhancements and getting him hyped earlier in the game and then the fact that you face him in a completely open area where hes free to dive bomb you as he wishes
3/20/2008 10:37:32 PM
^ Man, MP1 was so fucking awesome when it came out. I'll have to take you back to the time; there hadn't been any Metroid games in 8 fucking years, and when they were making two new ones (including one in 3D), I was fucking pumped. I'll never forget how awesome it was to finally fight MR, and even more surprised that they kept his theme intact. And of course, I'll never forget facing MP for the first time (it took me seriously around 5 tries before I got past the first form). I still think its the most fun boss fight I've ever had to this day. This may be a stretch, but I'd have to say it was probably the best game of the last generation.
3/21/2008 1:14:17 AM
Metal Gear Solid 2:Almost every boss fight in MGS2 was awesome. This one was too.Portal:Easy, yes, but still fun and still memorable. And assuming that "Rival"-style boss fights count:...specifically in the alternate level near the end of Star Fox 64.
3/21/2008 4:27:34 AM
hmm I remember fighting that rival star team was pretty damn challenging at the end, don't really remember what types of critters they all wereback to prime I have to confess I think I may have died at that plant boss more than any other, the one with all the mirrors and stuff, not sure whyand speaking of gamecube, tales of symphonia was an awesome game but no bosses are really standing out in my mind

as far as "boss fights" go, had to do this one.
3/23/2008 6:36:56 AM
hmm I totally forgot about twisted metal black, I dreaded having to face the minion boss halfway through the game, I usually died in the double digits and found it next to impossible to beat him with some of the cars, I also remember him being a cheap piece of shit with all the bullshit weapons he pulls out of his ass

Primagen from Turok 2, i dont know if its cause i was doing stuff wrong or what, but i always had to use cheat codes to beat him. and it still took me a long time to kill him after that:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1599962754439206479after watching that vid, apparently youre supposed to take auto aim off, i def never did that mess...and i swear i remember some ooze stuff on the floor that you couldnt walk in while fighting that boss[Edited on March 23, 2008 at 3:52 PM. i don't remember minion being too badbut when you unlocked him you could straight up destroy peopletales of symphonia was a great game - i remember a boss fight were you had to fight this like evil angel and it was pretty hard
3/24/2008 12:28:59 AM
First off, Scottyp WINS the thread.Second, did anyone ever play that old X-Men arcade side-scrolling game? It was straight out of the '80's, you could play as Wolvie, Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler...I think that was all. I wasted SO MANY QUARTERS trying to beat Magneto, it wasn't even funny. And, okay, I swear, I was one of the few people that actually stuck with it and played through all the Xenosaga games. Like, EVERY end game boss battle was so fag-hatted retarded, I nearly broke the controller every game.
3/24/2008 12:46:57 AM
dude that xmen game was the shit, especially when it was the biggest one and you had all 6 places filledused to love that game
3/24/2008 1:15:12 AM
How was the X-Men arcade game "straight out of the '80s"? It was released in 1992.

all of Killer7 boss fights
3/24/2008 3:04:31 PM
FFT had two difficult boss battles that made your character solo the boss. I can see why that might make it "hair pulling" but if use weapon break on those two bosses the whole game isn't hard at all.
3/24/2008 5:36:02 PM
If you learn those math skills as soon as soon as they become available and attach Flare 4, the game becomes extremely easy.
