I'm going to agree with a lot of the other people in this thread who have said they don't rock out designer jeans (nor do they have a reason to, really).I like my Levi's 527 jeans I've gotten recently. They fit better than any other pants I have (now that I figured out what size I need to wear, proper), and with the right shirt can actually look quite a bit dressier than what a lot of people wear.I also have some old Plugg jeans that I wear, namely cargo pants, as I like the fact that I can do whatever the hell I want in them and that I can carry so much in them (I'm a diabetic and my pockets are ALWAYS full, big pockets help out cause I don't have to worry about where I'm gonna cram a cellphone, wallet, 3 bags of fruit snacks, car keys, insulin pump, testing strips, lancet device, bag for the diabetic supplies, and a knife). Plus I don't want to just rock out the sometimes-breaking-your-balls 527's all the time.I used to rock out hand-me-down highwaters before I converted to carpenter jeans in middle school. I've got a bunch of Lee Dungarees still to this day. I wear them because they're great for doing dirty work in, as I haven't had one pair of Lees die on me yet.As for dressier pants, Docker's khakis always seem to have something that'll fit me. Amazingly the khakis at target are very good in terms of fit and quality for the price. I'm not a big fan of wearing the no-name clothes cause I had a bad experience as a result of being cheap on my pants. That was an interesting day where I stole the teacher's stapler and ran out of the class shortly after I tore my pants open in front of my classmates. Five minutes later and I had about 30 staples holding my pants together so I didn't look like too big a jackass for the rest of the day at school. What's worse is that happened at the start of 1st period...But yeah, go for a good midrange brand from a department store and don't go for the pricier "stylistic" stuff. Go for a brand that's carried in a lot of places but not super pricey like Levi's.Stay the fuck away from Canyon River Blues, if they even exist any more (just avoid sear's low end house brand unless you're an exhibitionist).

well, here's my reason for wearing designer jeans:When I'm working, I don't get to wear jeans. So when I do wear jeans, I'd like to be comfortable and look good. They're usually pretty sturdy as well. And if you take care of them (turn them inside out when washing, don't fray the bottom, don't stain them, etc....) then they'll keep looking good for years. Sure, they're more expensive....but again, I wear them for years, so they pay off.Last time I went to old navy and got some denim, it fell apart at the seams within a month.

all my jeans are frayed on the bottom because regular length pants are too long, but short length pants are too short.so my pants always drag the ground

yeah seriously some expensive jeans are fucking worth it some are just built better...
