you're implying that anyone who's at all informed couldn't support him and that's petty and wrong.[Edited on February 5, 2008 at 1:46 PM. Reason : .]
2/5/2008 1:45:55 PM
no, I gave my opinion and even gave you my rationale on how it was formed. You just keep offering insults. It has been my experience that his supporters dont know much about his policies, but are very taken by his performance.Do you honestly think he can round up all the loose nuclear materials in 4 years? Sarijoul, on a side note. Do you think its right for the govt to discriminate?
2/5/2008 2:04:13 PM
i already addressed the nuke question in another thread: yes, that's a stupid positionand i'll skip your obviously loaded second question

Huckabee wins West Virginia, a winner-take-all state. The West Virginia Republican Party decided to have a convention instead of a primary or caucus (to save money). The winner had to have 50%.First Ballot-Romney 41%-Huckabee 33%-McCain 16%-Paul 10%Paul was eliminated from the second ballot. McCain's surrogate at the convention told McCain supporters to throw their support behind Huckabee to deny Romney a victory.Second Ballot-Huckabee 52%-Romney 47%-McCain 1%

^still low numbers for mccain. Still hope he wont get the nomination.

Raw politics at works in W.Va.

A vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain

Huckster must be running for McCain's VP. If this keeps up I'll be helping Ann Coulter print yard signs for Hillary.
2/5/2008 4:54:46 PM
^I like huckabee, mostly bc of the fairtax, but you are right about the dealings with mccain. It sure is a nasty business isnt it.

^cash, I was pointing out how upset one party gets when govt get involved with one aspect, but invites them into other more serious ones.Hill and Bill already took away profits for vaccines, so companies stopped making them. Now we have shortages that she actually blames bush for, and why not, people will believe anything. Our govt is slowly doing this already with healthcare, and probably next year will finish the job.

Anyone have any recommendations for any blogs/sites that will be following the results as they come in?
2/5/2008 5:15:44 PM
why isn't there any exit polling?
2/5/2008 5:38:24 PM
news outlets got some ethics after 2000. they'll release the data (if it's conclusive) after the polls close in the state in question.
2/5/2008 5:40:54 PM
There is exit polling, but the major media outlets no longer release it while the polls are still open.
2/5/2008 5:41:48 PM
I read NY Times Blog,http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/Obama will win California, Georgia, Illinois, Alabama and finish strong in Missouri, Conn, and Jersey. Then they go on and on and NC will become the most important state ever on May 6th.
2/5/2008 6:44:19 PM
Obama wins in GA; a state with a huge African-American population, the results will probably be similar to South Carolina in that Obama will come out with a huge margin of victory. Conn., Ill., Mass., N.J., Del., Ala., Mo., Tenn., Okla. closes their polls at 8 p.m. ET; Ark. at 8:30
2/5/2008 7:13:36 PM
obama isnt going to win CA...he might not get trounced like it appeared he would last month, but i think he looses by single digits....but still a L. I think he wins 3 maybe 4 statesI doubt that Hill will blow him out of the water(other than ARK and NY) but a L is a L is a L...unless it is Nevada.....[Edited on February 5, 2008 at 7:20 PM. 2/5/2008 7:15:40 PM
I wonder who is going to win American Samoa. Key state there.
2/5/2008 7:19:03 PM
I agree that Clinton will not blow Obama out of the water and get huge victories, But I think that if Obama can somehow win in New Jersey and come within a close second in NY, that will be a major coup. Polls show that Clinton is only leading by I think 7 points in New Jersey and barely double digits in NY, it will definitely be interesting to see how Obama do in those two states. I think with a large turnout, Obama will win California on a thin margin.
2/5/2008 7:25:40 PM
Romney wins Mass.; McCain wins Conn. and Illinois; Obama wins Illinois; Clinton wins Okla
2/5/2008 8:02:05 PM
If I'm looking at the results right this is going to be a long nightAnd a lot of 50/50 splits in the democratic race[Edited on February 5, 2008 at 8:19 PM. Reason : additions]
2/5/2008 8:18:14 PM
I think McCain pretty much locked himself as the noinmee for the republicans. Romney failed to carry W. Va, a big let-down and besides MA, his home state, he hasn't won anything else.
2/5/2008 9:03:01 PM
they're projecting clinton will win ny
2/5/2008 9:03:05 PM
Romney may win GA if he gets all Atlanta and the burbs. Right now they are in his favor.Clinton is winning a lot of super delegates.
2/5/2008 9:10:44 PM
2/5/2008 9:20:42 PM
McCain wins New York....
2/5/2008 9:20:57 PM
it is gonna come down to the Super Delegates(900) for the Dems...if it remains close, they will decide the race.
2/5/2008 9:30:27 PM
Obama could've really used an Edwards endorsement before Super Tuesday.
2/5/2008 9:33:35 PM
Clinton's got this.
2/5/2008 9:36:09 PM
It is kinda weird, where Obama is kicking ass he is picking up more delegates than expected but where Hill is, it is so so and only a handful more.I think VA and DC will probably go for Obama next week. He had a lead in the delegates going in(30 i think) I figure he will still be in the lead and the media will say he did better than expecting while Clinton did just ok.When I go home in two weeks(NC) I will do an absentee ballot, heck, it might come down to NC in....what...June?! Hillary was REALLY hurt by FL and Michigan not counting. I am not sure who I will vote for now, was for Clinton mainly because I thought she would have a better chance at beating the republican. Now that it appears McCain will be that, I can see me voting for Obama because of the change thing and old vs young....not like NC will EVER vote for a DEM in the general so at least there will be some suspence in the primary.I think the neo conservatives would vote for McCain even though they dont like him just to prevent Hillary from becoming Prez.....and with Obama,....not so much, so maybe they will stay home.[Edited on February 5, 2008 at 9:48 PM. Reason : w]
2/5/2008 9:46:09 PM
NC is May 6
2/5/2008 9:52:46 PM
You think? A lot of republicans really hate mccain too, so i dont know if you can really make that assumption.
2/5/2008 9:52:56 PM
but they hate the Clintons worse.....and do not want to see another one....better of two evils? With Obama, they might stay home because they really dont like McCain and they dont really hate Obama...yet.
2/5/2008 9:58:43 PM
True, I think it's gonna be a bloodbath no matter who the dem's nominate.....i think there will be some VERY dirty politics to come...
2/5/2008 10:04:31 PM
Huckabee "They said this was a two man race.....and it is, and I'm in it"Ha, in your face Romney!!!! Please note, I don't actually like huckabee, but I dislike romney more
2/5/2008 10:10:04 PM
^why the dislike for romney?
2/5/2008 10:10:52 PM
There's whispers that Arizona might be a lot closer than most expected and Romney might've nipped it from McCain.
