http://goasu.com/media/live/?fSession=2459a41079aa431351354a5c22efa451c1a333d8listen to their announcers...saying how the fans shouldn't be all over the sideline and then the guy chucked the ball. Said they should stop the game to get the people off the field. I can't see but it sounds like it is getting nuts.

step up to D1-A you punk scared ass bitches
12/15/2007 12:55:05 AM
app wants [wanted?] to go BCS. the NCAA said no because the school is too small, the town is too small, the stadium is too small, and the roads going in and out of town are too small.also, the divisions are frozen for another three years. or maybe it's four. i don't remember.edit:for that matter, app is having trouble finding non-conference schools to fill up their 2008 schedule. state, wake, carolina, duke, and ecu have all declined. *school's athletics budgetand it's more of the complete clusterfuck that is boone gameday traffic more than the size of the town itself.
12/15/2007 1:39:57 AM
I could be wrong, but I would think ASU has a bigger athletics budget than the very bottom teams in I-A.Smallest stadium in I-A is the University of Idaho at 16,000. A school that has about 11,000 students. 3,000 or so less than ASU. Also, I visited it last month when I was out in Washington visiting a friend at Washington State Univ, and Moscow is a small ass fucking town literally in the middle of nowhere.[Edited on December 15, 2007 at 1:48 AM. Remember 2 years ago when State killed App and ran the ball 3 downs at a time for 1.5 quarters..... App sucks Edwards isn't worth a food stamp so lock this thread
12/15/2007 2:38:25 AM
Edwards didn't play that game, they played Elder. That was his last game as #1 QB (he has played some games this year when Edwards has been hurt)

12/15/2007 10:03:52 AM
apps gay
12/15/2007 10:49:02 AM
We played them with one of our worst teams in recent history. We beat them and barely tried. No need to try and prove it again. I know someone is going to bring up that Edwards wasn't playing, but Elder was a great QB for them as well and led them to their first National Title.[Edited on December 15, 2007 at 11:13 AM. 12/15/2007 11:12:41 AM
yeah, not to mention that we beat them with the guy who couldn't even beat out D.Evans for the starting QB job. There is nothing to be gained by any good BCS team playing ASU. If you beat them, well, you're supposed to. If you lose to them, well, see Michigan.I'm opposed to playing 1AA teams at all. Find a lower tier 1A team if you want to pad your schedule.
12/15/2007 11:15:17 AM
The lower tier 1-A teams cost a lot of money to play.
12/15/2007 11:16:53 AM
More money than if you lost? That's a myopic way to look at it, imo.
12/15/2007 11:23:22 AM
12/15/2007 11:23:55 AM
I think he was referring to the new nomenclature for D1A, which i think is BCS (vs. 1AA which is FCS). it's very very gay. I like 1A and 1AA better.
12/15/2007 11:41:43 AM
1a is FBS
12/15/2007 12:08:08 PM
12/15/2007 12:21:54 PM
ASU ftw
12/15/2007 12:32:00 PM
There is so much damn stupidity in this thread it makes me embarrassed. You guys can't even talk shit without just making shit up.
12/15/2007 1:19:19 PM
Oh shit I forgot about Williams. Thanks for calling me out on that. Damn I'm already starting to lose my memory and I'm not even 25 yet. Alzheimers here I come. I remember watching App beat Northern Iowa for that first National Title in 2005.I agree that it would be an interesting game for us, but I still think we win. It would be at our place, b/c no Div I-A team in their right mind would play a I-AA team on their field, and the crown on our field is something App may have difficulty with. Also you know we would grow the grass real tall, b/c we've been known to do that just like Notre Dame. Jerry Moore said that our stadium seemed louder and that the fans were more on top of you than at Michigan. If we see the same team from the 4 game winning streak I'd predict a 24-20 win for us. Besides while some of our players aren't as skilled as Michigan's players, we probably have more overall speed. A lot of the Big Ten teams are collectively slower than BCS teams in the South. Despite losing we contained Marcus Vick pretty well, and he was pretty mobile.[Edited on December 15, 2007 at 1:47 PM. Reason : ]

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=121617Richie Williams ESPN page. He had two very good passing seasons. 44 TDs to 14 INTs and almost 6,000 yards.
12/15/2007 1:49:09 PM
Damn, I know. Why don't you people stop acting like little bitches. Give credit where credit is due. App. is a great team. They have had much more success at their level then we have ever had at anything.Edwards is 100 times better than Evans, Burke, or Beck.
12/15/2007 1:49:37 PM
I'll admit, I wish Edwards was on our team. So what if he's like 6'0" with thick soled boots, there have been a lot of QBs that were under 6' that were great. Flutie probably being the most notable. Heck if we were concerned about him taking hits we could just run a two QB like at VT where you have one good passing QB and one good running QB that still has adequate passing ability. Chase Daniel is only 6'0" and he finished 4th in the Heisman voting.[Edited on December 15, 2007 at 1:55 PM. Reason : ]

be surprised if their coach doesnt get picked up somewhereid give him a job...
12/15/2007 4:07:54 PM
schools tried last year, he didn't want to go anywhere.
12/15/2007 4:08:42 PM
Their coach is in his late 60's, and likes where he is. I don't think he would move unless he got a MAJOR coaching job, which is unlikely.
