Ron paul as VPDNL, you think McCain needs Crist to carry florida? Did you get kicked in the head?I guess the only way Obama wins NYC or California is if he picks Arnold or Bloomberg. Shit

McCain / Palin would actually be a pretty tough ticket for the Dems to run against.man....the more i think of that, the more i think that could actually win.
6/18/2008 1:57:42 AM
dnl, there is a new poll today showing Obama up in florida... maybe you were right. In the election I just dont see florida going to obama. Plenty of time though.
6/18/2008 8:46:09 AM

John Kerry as Obama's running mate?http://wbztv.com/politics/jonkeller/john.kerry.vice.2.796143.htmlhttp://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/1094863-john-kerry

i'm not buying itand neither am i buying the bidennot sure about bayh
8/15/2008 6:45:52 PM
If Obama picks Kerry and McCain picks a social conservative, I'll write in Obi Wan Kenobi
8/15/2008 6:47:38 PM
bayd seems like an "ok" choice to me...i dont think he has any foriegn policy experience though...maybe i'm thinking of someone else...they say the kaine guy of va has like less total experience than obama so idk about him...never thought biden cause the guy runs his mouth too much...kerry aint even on my fuckin radar

Any chance Obama would go for Gore? It would be a surprise that would surely get a lot of news coverage, no one can say he doesn't have the requisite experience for the job after having been a part of the Clinton administration & potentially drawing in a few Clinton fans/voters, and the image he's created with his more progressive leanings, his environmental advocacy, and noble prize winning persona then he might fit into the Obama campaign theme without overshadowing Obama.
8/19/2008 11:59:49 AM
i dont think gore would accept
8/19/2008 12:00:59 PM
I can't see Gore taking second seat to Obama. If he didn't want the Presidential nomination when it was practically offered up to him on a silver platter by the Democratic Party, then there's no chance that he'd want to sit around and be Vice President for another four or eight years.
8/19/2008 1:16:56 PM
Biden today said "I'm not the guy"I hope its not Kaine. Who else is left?My family shook hands with Obama tonight at the town hall meeting in Raleigh and they mentioned that in all his comments about what he wanted out of a VP he always used masculine pronouns.
8/19/2008 8:35:32 PM
8/19/2008 9:22:00 PM
i hope it's Tim Kaine.democrat governor from virginia. very popular and likeable fellow. executive experience, fairly young (he's 50). will help him in the south. interesting tidbit: he's a roman catholic, did missionary work with the Jesuits.he also looks like someone who could cover your back in a barfight. ... unlike that pretty-boy Joe Biden what with the botox, hair implants, and bleached teeth.
8/20/2008 1:56:27 AM
the executive experience makes me want to say kaine(over bayd or biden), but the lack of experience makes me think repubs will pound that shit home come nov...idk its not like the dems were known as foreign policy experts anyways...in my personal opinion, i think biden makes the strongest ticket, but i dont know about the most electable ticket
8/20/2008 2:02:48 AM
i can't find anything to disagree with there.

8/20/2008 9:51:25 AM
I hope not. C'mon Kaine!
8/20/2008 11:48:56 AM
Go banana!
8/20/2008 11:56:30 AM
obama is meeting that kaine guy tonight
8/20/2008 12:58:54 PM
For a while I had really hoped Bobby Jindal would be McCain's pick, but he has been very emphatic that he wants to stay governor. He had a lot going for him -- he's very young, his policies appeal to the base, and, let's face it, he ain't white.I do like the idea here:http://time-blog.com/real_clear_politics/2008/05/what_about_jindal.htmlWhich suggests that they might be trying to line up Jindal for a prominent speaking role at the convention to set him up for a future run, like what happened with Obama in 2004.Tom Ridge's association with Homeland Security seems like a liability to me, and Lieberman...meh.
8/20/2008 3:39:39 PM
Bobby Jindal as Vice President?maybe... he could be in charge of evaluating demon possessions and scheduling exorcisms.seriously. do you even know anything about this guy? hes a freak.
8/20/2008 4:00:34 PM
“Beating a Demon: The Physical Dimensions of Spiritual Warfare”by Bobby Jindal, New Oxford Review, 1994http://www.newoxfordreview.org/article.jsp?did=1294-jindalHere's the summary from WordPress
8/20/2008 4:12:07 PM
Yeah I've heard he claimed to cure her cancer with exorcism. Only 1 more miracle and he can qualify for sainthood. Not everyone will see a religious based curing of cancer as being a "freak"

Hasn't Jindal pretty much said there is no way he will be the VP pick, that he doesn't want it and is planning on running for LA gov again?and Biden would be a terrible pick for Obama imho. Another northern Democrat, yeah... Clinton would be a good choice in terms of getting elected, but would be terrible for Obama if he won with her as VP.
8/20/2008 7:44:04 PM
i agree, Biden would be a terrible choice: an entrenched washinton senator from DELAWARE for chrissakes. and he looks like a prettier version of Bill Clinton. sorry, i just cant get past his sculpted face and ridiculously perfect, white teeth. he's a great senator, i hope he stays where he's at, but he's everything that Obama's "Change" is not.i don't necessarily think Clinton will help Obama be more electable. fuck her cranky supporters, they'll get back on the bus. if clinton were VP nom, i really think she'll just drive more of the dejected fundamentalists and angry white men out of their holes to come vote *against* her. she's just too damn polarizing.
8/20/2008 7:56:04 PM
i'm still holding a torch for bill richardson, but it looks grim at this point
8/20/2008 8:06:29 PM
sorry, man, i like him a lot... but it was "looking grim" as soon as he started growing the beard.
8/20/2008 8:16:06 PM
This picture makes me lol.I think Kaine or Bayh would be the best choice, in terms of electability.
8/20/2008 9:00:28 PM
Richardson's dead to me. I mean, like 99.9% of all politicians are too, but still. I dunno. There's not really anybody who doesn't have any negatives in the running.
8/20/2008 9:26:29 PM
What's wrong with Richardson?I still like Biden and hate Bayh, fwiw
8/20/2008 9:37:07 PM
Richardson has negatives? like what? why you hating on the guy?? he's NOT a bad candidate. He's really a good guy, and has solid experience -- he may well have made a great VP pick for Clinton or Edwards, had Obama not been in the picture (and edwards not been a sleazy sonofabitch :grr: )but you cant have two ethnic minorities on one ticket. sorry. i hate to sound racist, but our country is not ready for that yet. and New Mexico only has a small amount of electoral votes that are already going Obama. Richardson is a quiet hero, he doesnt have any real "Bang"im not saying Kaine has "Bang" necessarily, but he is gov of a *swing state* that is traditionally republican but could go dem, with a lot of electoral votes. Kaine also appeals to the southern white working class male. definitely something that Obama needs. executive experience will defuse any argument that his ticket is unbalanced. Richardson would have added substantial foriegn policy experience, but not enough to overcome the deficits.[Edited on August 20, 2008 at 9:39 PM. Reason : ]
