It's being reported that Grobe is going to Arkansashttp://www.arkansasnews.com/archive/2007/12/05/News/344292.html
12/5/2007 9:41:09 PM
Please be true. I want the old Wake Forest back when you can just glance at your schedule in the preseason and chop that up as a win.

Supposedly the Grobe to Arkansas deal has fallen through due to Grobe changing his mind. Arkansas is getting shat on more than us during our bball search.

So Arkansas has now tried to get the coaches of *three* ACC programs and been spurned by all of them? So what's their next move? They obviously wouldn't get Beamer or Bowden Sr., but what about Groh? Friedgen? TOB? I am seeing the similarities between their deal and our last basketball search though...
12/6/2007 2:54:33 PM
Does anyone else think it is funny that the Big Bad SEC is trying to steal 3 ACC coaches?
12/6/2007 6:17:18 PM
no... players graduate HS and go to college, why cant coaches?[Edited on December 6, 2007 at 7:07 PM. Reason : d]

You said college, not jail.
12/6/2007 11:48:03 PM
les miles signed an extension running through 2012 today.

^^ lol, why would Michigan even want Schiano?

^^No plan B?
12/7/2007 12:25:04 PM
Now Duke go ahead and hire Steve Logan.
12/7/2007 12:58:33 PM
hey - you guessed right! congrats!but don't go acting like it was a done deal before the Army Navy game. PJ made his decision today after two visits to GT, a bidding war between four schools that got up to $2.3 mil per year. GT had to break the bank - otherwise PJ would have gone elsewhere
12/7/2007 1:29:55 PM
12/7/2007 1:43:31 PM
Right now, yeah... but that part of the country will expect more and more every year and won't accept any less. Schiano built it but if he doesn't continue to improve it he'll be gone..

^^that's a good point. i didn't even know that. they don't play in the regular season until 2010. i'm guessing it was a temperamental statement anyway since he was spurned by fowler. i am excited about seeing johnson in the acc and how well he does.^beat me to it[Edited on December 7, 2007 at 4:47 PM. This is a good deal for PJ. I am actually interested to see1) If the Flexbone will work at a BCS level2) If it doesn't, will he change his offense.
12/7/2007 4:49:23 PM
he won't change his offense. my boss is very close to paul johnson and their views are identical that you have to run an offense similar to johnson's. i mean he was basically a "consultant" for meyer before he went to florida and it's filtered through to wake forest, west virginia, missouri, etc...he's made a darn big footprint.
12/7/2007 4:51:18 PM
12/7/2007 5:29:26 PM
i don't see a lot of paul johnson's offensive philosophy at florida, missouri, or west virginia
12/7/2007 5:39:34 PM
navy sure is gonna miss him in the san diego county credit union poinsettia bowlno i didn't make that up
12/7/2007 6:10:17 PM
haha, that's got to be worse than the PapaJohns.com Bowl (why they didn't just call it the Papa Johns Bowl beats me).

I am Moody's boss...

it still makes senseMiles signed the contract for more than what his buyout would be, so he would still technically not have to pay LSU anything to leave..he has that clause in there somehow worked out. He's sneaky, I am telling you...I wouldnt even doubt if he still had not signed.
12/11/2007 12:39:34 PM
It is always fun to hear what bigwigs and the heavy-packing alumni. You sit and wonder if it's true or not and let it take you on a tangent.I've always thought it'd be a nice idea to pay off a cleaning lady to put some bugs in the AD office and in the suites at Carter-Finley, to just here the frustration or joy in the alumni and how that transfers over to Fowler, especially when it comes to finding a new coach or firing the one you got.
12/11/2007 2:01:09 PM
Muschamp to Arkansas is being reported and denied. We'll see....

i'm liking this trend of coaches choosing college > nfl.
12/11/2007 6:22:43 PM
^ That's cause they're chicken. At some of these programs you're guaranteed six wins a year at least with the p*ssy schedules they play.
12/11/2007 6:37:48 PM
^Then why has nobody taken the Michigan job yet?
12/11/2007 6:45:08 PM
yeah, I would want to be a college coach way more than an NFL coach
