I'd take kansas, mizzou, oklahoma, and oregon if dickson hadnt gotten hurt
11/23/2007 7:18:45 PM
I could name 20-30 teams that couldnt potentially beat LSU any given day, but that doesnt make them the better team... Arkansas just beat them, going by your logic that makes them "better"... which is just retardedKansas?? HAHHAHA, if you didnt know their record and watched Kansas play a game and then watched LSU play a game would never pick Kansas over them, you just picked them because of their record... hell, might as well say Hawaii is better[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:21 PM. 11/23/2007 7:18:59 PM
I didnt say Arkansas is a better team, I agree most days LSU wins this game, but overall this season LSU has not looked like a #1 team, although I guess that can be said about a lot of teams.
11/23/2007 7:21:02 PM
Actually I have seen Kansas play several times this year and they continue to look good and play smart. LSU has better talent, but they do stupid shit and a lot of times it looks like they arent playing with a lot of heart.
11/23/2007 7:22:54 PM
they were better today - and that's all that mattersit does matter - because their shot at a NC is out. so what best talent / bad day whatever - it's all about your resumetherefore - there are other "better" teams qualified at the moment to play for the championship[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:23 PM. Reason : wait, wat]
11/23/2007 7:22:57 PM
its crazy how people are putting kansas on the same level as these one loss teams.if kansas beats mizzou then loses to oklahoma they should go ahead of most 1 loss teams. its not fair at all.
11/23/2007 7:23:06 PM
I agree with better qualified, but that doesnt make them the better team... If someone goes undefeated in a BCS conference they deserve to go to the NC game, but that doesnt automatically make them "better" than the other teams that didnt go, just means that circumstances worked out better for them
11/23/2007 7:24:32 PM
for page 3.
11/23/2007 7:24:46 PM
OMG HAWAI'I IS GETTING SCREWED
11/23/2007 7:24:52 PM
if the winner of Missouri and Kansas loses to Oklahoma, then its WV and Ohio State... but if WV loses then it will be Georgia and Ohio State, assuming Georgia beats GT
11/23/2007 7:25:54 PM
To me all of this is just another example of why we need a playoff system. No team has come out yet and put a stamp on being the best in the country honestly. Everytime it seems a team has stepped up and looks good they go out and lose to an unranked team. We will see how Kansas plays tomorrow night. As of now I'd say there are about 8 teams that can make a legit claim to being best in the country. I'd love to see em play it on the field, but as of now our system says sorry LSU we gave you a shot after you blew one game, but twice aint gonna cut it.
11/23/2007 7:26:18 PM
lsu defense is proclaimed best in the afc but imo its questionable, talent aside.
11/23/2007 7:26:22 PM
I don't think there is anyone out there that thinks that if Kansas can beat Mizzou AND OU that they don't deserve it... It's just that nobody thinks they WILL actually win those two games.I'd put my $$$$ on tOSU-WVU at this exact moment...[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:27 PM. Reason : and my post on the last page got buried... but it's correct.]
11/23/2007 7:27:17 PM
^ me tooand poor Tennessee... have a feeling LSU might take out some anger on them next week IF Tennessee beats Kentucky, which I doubt[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:28 PM. Reason : d]
11/23/2007 7:27:40 PM
What has to really suck is VT all of a sudden realizing that BC meltdown may have cost them a lot more than they realized.
11/23/2007 7:27:45 PM
it seems like half the time - the BCS worksthen there are years like this.....sighat least we're NC State - and have no chance of being screwed by the BCS, haha
11/23/2007 7:28:47 PM
The worst part of all of this is that there is a good chance OSU somehow climbs back into the game even though they didnt play the last 3 weeks of the season lol.
11/23/2007 7:30:06 PM
If Georgia ends up in the CG and they don't even play in their own conference championship then I'll quit watching college football forever.Ok I probably won't but that isn't that unlikely of a scenario, how fucking rediculous what a shit system.
11/23/2007 7:30:16 PM
Oklahoma did it before, or was it Nebraska, cant remember[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:31 PM. Reason : d]
11/23/2007 7:30:38 PM
No Oklahoma played in the conference championship and lost, then made the championship game, I believe? They went undefeated into the conference championship, got demolished by K State, then played in the National championship and got crushed by someone, LSU or USC...[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:32 PM. Reason : to lazy to search it.]
11/23/2007 7:31:29 PM
the year they got smacked around by USC right?didnt Nebraska do it too against Miami? there was something wacky about that year, they all run together now[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:32 PM. Reason : d]
11/23/2007 7:32:36 PM
Could happen this year as well... Kansas beats mizzou, loses to oklahoma, WVU loses to UCONN or Pitt. That leaves KU and OSU as the only one loss teams even though KU didnt win their conference. Ok guess not exactly the same but still kinda shitty. It was nebraksa, the lost to colorado and didnt even play in the conference title game but still ended up playing in the natl title game I think screwing oregon and colorado that year.[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:34 PM. Reason : .]
11/23/2007 7:33:08 PM
^^Oklahoma made the Nat'l Championship game after losing in the Big XII title game.Nebraska made the Nat'l Championship game after not even getting to the Big XII title game.
11/23/2007 7:34:21 PM
I think if Kansas beats Missouri, but then loses to Oklahoma (and WV loses), Georgia will jump them[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:35 PM. Reason : d]
11/23/2007 7:34:48 PM
If KU losses one they are done.Noone has ever made the NC w/out making it to their conference championship. They have made it though after losing in their conference championship game. But if WVU losses, and the Big 12 shakes up the way most think, it could leave Georgia and OSU.^^ K thanks. Still shitty. To me, if you don't win your conference you shouldn't get to play for a national title. Just how I feel.[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 7:37 PM. Reason : ,]
11/23/2007 7:34:50 PM
^ look at ^^^ I couldnt remember the details but sounds right
11/23/2007 7:35:47 PM
defenses suck this year.

Time to break out myTHIS IS MY UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS T-SHIRTGO HOGS
11/23/2007 7:37:37 PM
Id love to see an 8 team playoff this year, those would be some pretty damn good games I am thinking
11/23/2007 7:37:42 PM
11/23/2007 7:38:39 PM
1 LSU .9904 2 Kansas .9488 3 West Virginia .8878 4 Missouri .8707 5 Ohio State .8602 6 Arizona State .8019 7 Georgia .7438 8 Virginia Tech .6796 9 Oregon .6267 10 Oklahoma .5816 hmm...that's a big gap. LSU could still be top 5. And it would be funny as hell if they put them ahead of the fuckeyes.
11/23/2007 7:51:37 PM
My prediction of West Virginia vs Ohio State will come true!
11/23/2007 8:21:31 PM
Anyone think that if either Kansas or Missouri win out and WVU win their final 2 games, there's any chance OSU somehow jumps them to play Kansas/Missou?[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 8:31 PM. Reason : As a WVU fan I sure hope not, just seeing if anyone thinks it's even possible]
11/23/2007 8:28:59 PM
no way a team idle that long jumps someone.[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 8:31 PM. Reason : ]
11/23/2007 8:31:07 PM
Nope... literally none at all. WVU's computer ranking can only go up if they win out.V they play a more athletic style but I can't get a read on them yet. They are a bunch of Princeton guys trying to play up tempo. If they hit their shots they can win this game but I personally think UT will cover... I wouldn't put $$$ on it though.[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 8:37 PM. Reason : x]
11/23/2007 8:31:49 PM
speaking of WV..... how is their bball team this year? they play Tennessee in 20 minutes, want to know if I should put a bet on it, 8 seems mighty high
11/23/2007 8:35:18 PM
11/23/2007 9:12:58 PM
The National Championship:Georgia vs The Ohio State Universitymark it downhow it happens:WVU falls to UConn or Pitt, winner of Kansas/Missou falls in Big 12 championship vs Texas or Oklahoma, Tennessee loses to Kentucky, Georgia beats LSU in the SEC Championship[Edited on November 23, 2007 at 9:26 PM. Reason : .]
11/23/2007 9:25:07 PM
I'm guessing they end up just outside the top 5. At least 2 of the top 5 and Arizona State will have lost this week. Kansas-Mizzou loser could still end up ahead of them.
11/23/2007 9:27:48 PM
11/23/2007 9:29:48 PM
damn. Georgia is only 3.5 pt favorites over GT. I mean hell, they almost let carolina beat them.
11/23/2007 9:37:29 PM
^^ dammit, I didn't see you post thatwhy do you have it my number lately, Jaybee?
11/23/2007 9:42:24 PM

dont you play nice with mebut srsly GO DAWGS
11/23/2007 9:50:59 PM
I gotta agree with NyM410...Miles isn't that great of a coach...he just has the talent to overcome his lack of coaching ability...the time out situation at the end of regulation pretty much sums it up
11/24/2007 3:48:02 AM
surprise, I was happy about the outcome of this game.
11/24/2007 8:04:04 AM
11/24/2007 9:26:29 AM
Then you should feel bad for USC as well, injuries killed them ( I know it is part of the game ) and the way they took it to ASU the other night I think they are better then the teams that will end up in the NC game. Kansas/Mizzou vs. WVU would be the strangest NC game in a long time, I don't know if I could get excited for that because I'd just feel like it wasn't the two best teams, just the two that survived this year. Good for them I guess.
11/24/2007 10:59:15 AM
It's almost NEVER the best two teams. Really, the SC-Texas game was one of the only years that it was. Last year the best two teams were SC and LSU...tOSU-WVU would be GREAT to watch. They are only 2 hours apart, the fans and players HATE each other and it would be spread versus pro offense again.Really, from 1-10, almost all of the SOS have been pretty close to each other (other than Kansas whose SOS is awful -- but if they win the next two will rise DRAMATICALLY) so I have a hard time saying those who make it don't deserve it.[Edited on November 24, 2007 at 11:02 AM. 11/24/2007 11:00:43 AM
This year is not comparable to other years, where you have 3-4 deserving teams and someone gets screwed in some way and everyone is argueing over who should be in. I would not look forward to an OSU WVU game. I wouldn't even put OSU in my top 5 this year, maybe not even in my top 8. To me the game is always better when there is the underdog dynamic to it, WVU or Kansas vs. LSU would have had that. W/out LSU that is lost.
