what's too old, who says what's too old. People don't get married till they're 30 and they are fine. You are creating a huge mental block making yourself think you need to do something before its too late. What's too late? If you want to accomplish stuff in your life, perhaps do that before you consider getting married. At 25 people are still settling into their post-graduation lives and need to establish themselves in society (like getting a stable job, a nice house, a good car) before attempting to share their lives with someone else.

^^^ I'm with soulfire. There have been times that I wanted the whole "family life" thing, but I decided pretty early that the 20's were my time to do what I want to do. After spending 20 years growing up and getting an education I just want to take my disposable income and have a good time for a while. I have always seen myself as a person who will have a traditional family, but I never saw it happening until I enter my 30's (which isn't that far off )

You only get one life; I don't see any reason to rush it. Getting married and starting a family is great, but you should be happy with yourself and your own life before you take that step. If you can't be happy with yourself then happiness from all the external things will be short lived.

My parents got married in their late 20's and didn't have kids until their mid-30's, so I guess it's partly just the way I was raised too.

My only problem with living your life first and then settling down to have a family is the age issue. It was very important for my husband and I to marry and start a family while we are young because we both have parents who waited to start families in their early 40s.

My father is already dead. My husband's father has already had a stroke. Our aunts and uncles are dying off. All of our grandparents except for 1 are dead. We're worried about our children knowing our parents before they are too old to enjoy their grandchildren. And having 50 year old parents as a 10 year old is a hell of a lot different from having parents in their 30s when you're 10 years old.

I wish I was 25!

I have at least 3-4 people every week (new people I meet, not the same ones over again) telling me I look anywhere between 22 and 26.

And even though I am a college lecturer, I have been confused for being a student in the college by staff, faculty, and even by students who are several years younger than I. Heck, some people I meet have even thought I am a high school student.

Another student of mine told me I look 25 today. He said he thought I just had a BS and 0-1 years of experience because I look and act so young.
