^You missed out, last night's episode was really really good. Probably the best of the season in my opinion.Dan was about to get it on with his wife, but he leaped back to the late 70s or early 80s into an RV that was about to fall off a cliff. There was a mother and a kid at the front of it that were about to fall off with it. He was able to get them out of the RV and right when he was about to jump out too, he was lurched back in by the falling RV and his digital camera fell out. The RV toppled over the cliff and he leaped back to the present before getting hurt.In the present time, he goes home and finds out that his son, Zack, is now a girl. Everything else about his life is exactly the same except for his son. He talks to his brother and tries to get him to get ahold of the files that the rogue FBI agent that was looking into Dan for the Dylan McQueen's money thing. He leaps again, this time to the early-mid 80s and finds out that the mother he saved works for a startup computer company. Her son took his digital camera and (with the help of some of the tech people at the company) tries to figure out the technology since it is obviously more advanced than anything they have seen. Dan, obviously seeing that the digital camera somehow caused his son to disappear from history, tries to get the camera back but they call security on him because they think it is corporate espionage.Dan returns to the present and goes to work. He finds out that the the technology in his workplace is more advanced than what it should be, probably about 10-20 years ahead of what we are at now... instead of a computer monitor, it is a hologram projected above his desk, and a few other things. After doing some research, he finds out that the kid who took his camera in the 80s went missing. He finds the kid's mother (who is now blind) and she says that there was a dude he was hanging out with at the company right before he went missing. Dan then goes home to find out that Katie's sister has gotten a tarot card reader to look at Katie's life (her sister suspects Dan and Katie are hiding something) and she does some predictions or whatever. When Dan comes home, the psychic "sees" some kind of energy or whatever and convinces Dan that she is really psychic by talking to him about the alternate reality with his son. Dan's brother also finds a picture in the FBI agent's files of Dan as a kid at Kennedy Space Center with Langley. He tries calling Langley to see if he can help him figure out how to get his son back but he can't get in contact with him and Dan leaps back in time to the night her son went missing and tries to get the camera again. He finds out that someone is trying to buy it from the son... he wants money so that he can pay for some kind of operation so that his mother won't go blind. Dan is able to get the camera from him and destroy it before leaping into the present again. When he gets back, all is back to normal, his son is fine, and the son from the 80s grew up to be an eye surgeon developing some kind of technology for the blind. The psychic comes back and tells Dan that his birthday falls on some kind of special day when a comet is in orbit. It only occurred twice in the 20th century, once on Dan's birthday and once on Livia's birthday in the 1920s. Dan's brother shows him the picture of him with Langley, so Dan tracks down Langley finally. Due to something that Dan changed in the past, Langley has no memory of who he is.

great recap, i appreciate that. that sounds awesome. Its a shame this show isn't going to make it, but I hope they can bring some closure to it before it goes.So Olivia is actually from the 1920's but has been time travelling/adapting since then? Does that mean this ability also causes her to not show age?
12/18/2007 10:29:53 AM
It was revealed a few episodes ago that she actually lives in the 1940s and she travels forward in time instead of backwards like Dan does. When she was involved with Dan before, she was just in an "extended" leap. When everyone thought she died in the plane crash, she actually leaped back to her own time.

I'll miss this show. While I won't say it was the best show I ever saw, it was one of the most intriguing and was quite captivating me for this season. I'm becoming a bigger fan of Kevin McKidd as well; first as he slew the barbarians and now as he leaped through time.Looking forward to Wednesday, and thanks for the recap. I missed Monday as well.
12/18/2007 1:07:53 PM
He was in Trainspotting too.
12/18/2007 2:04:28 PM
well shit. this is the ONLY new show that seems worth watching.OMFG LETS REPLACE IT WITH A REALITY SHOW LOLOL!!!!!
12/18/2007 7:24:19 PM
Well another series loses to CSI:Miami which I don't watch. NBC will not beat that show no matter what it puts up against it.
12/18/2007 9:57:17 PM
and fox courts the mindless with american idol.there in no win for nbc in sight
12/18/2007 10:50:17 PM
This was actually a decent show. Too bad the business is to cutthroat to let it get its legs. It was much better than that shit they cancelled last year -- black donnellys -- but it had much less hype.[Edited on December 18, 2007 at 11:15 PM. Reason : .]
12/18/2007 11:11:17 PM
I wish they would just put it on some off-night as a stupid hour. Then atleast I can still watch it and getting huge ratings wouldn't be as important. Instead I just .
12/19/2007 11:49:41 AM
i never thought tv shows failed and were cancelled as often as they have been these past 2-3 years. American Idol, Reality TV, and the brainless CSI loyals have killed the american television drama. too many good concepts and great casts have been canned without a chance to truely shine.
12/19/2007 12:11:35 PM
last episode is on tonight.
12/19/2007 5:50:46 PM
:-(thats too bad. I really like Kevin McKidd. I hope he shows up in something else. I guess thats it for shows until BSG.
12/19/2007 5:58:23 PM
On now.
12/19/2007 10:04:19 PM

12/19/2007 10:51:52 PM
well that wasn't too bad. glad he wanted to keep doing it and she got to actually see proof and watch him vanish. all in all, good way to tie it up.adios journeyman
12/19/2007 10:59:53 PM
elliot has got to be related to livea somehow... guess we'll never know
12/19/2007 10:59:57 PM
adios journeyman
12/19/2007 11:14:22 PM
that was actually a fairly decent send off episode, kudos to the producers for realizing most Americans would rather watch CSIinsert city here) than your show.[Edited on December 19, 2007 at 11:20 PM. Reason : a]
12/19/2007 11:16:39 PM
kudos?
12/19/2007 11:18:09 PM
maybe they'll get a huge ratings boost by playing the final ep on a wed. at 10... well, probably not, but here's hoping. the way the ratings are calculated is so fucking inaccurate anyways. i think the only people that agree to do nielsens and keep a log of their tv shows are the dumbfuck who have nothing better to do than watch reality tv.
12/19/2007 11:20:50 PM
seeing as how most people are dumbfucks anyway, that's actually quite appropriate, dumbfuck
12/19/2007 11:23:14 PM
i r smartz, ur wrds bouns of me and stik 2 u
12/19/2007 11:24:43 PM
damn, this was a pretty good show!
12/20/2007 9:47:50 AM
sucks that it had to go so soon, but it was a great send off episodewrapped up enough to not feel rushed, but left enough open so that it didn't feel like a kids book or anything
12/20/2007 10:27:31 AM
Also agreed, great show...As for ratings, Directv and Nielson have partnered and now users of the Directv DVR have their viewing habits uploaded and included in ratings unless you specifically opt-out. You can check your status on their website.Info:http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=79760
12/20/2007 9:45:33 PM
i'm fairly certain that most networks still don't factor in the DVR ratings, as people skip through the commercials so advertisers consider dvr'ed programs worthless and the stations make money off the advertisers
12/20/2007 10:45:05 PM
I loved this show. I heard it was very expensive to produce (music rights, stage set up).
12/21/2007 12:30:25 PM
i heard the ratings sucked dick
12/21/2007 4:11:01 PM
jeez, the music for this show was amazing. It was very well timed and added so much to the mood of the show.and, haha, I'm watching my TiVo-ed last episode right now. Didn't even realize it was gonna be the last one until I read this thread [Edited on January 16, 2008 at 6:12 PM. Reason : ]

i never saw this show while it was on tv...just finished the last episode last nightso that it was canceled
6/20/2010 9:07:26 PM
At least the last episode was amazing.
6/21/2010 5:58:27 AM
agreed, Journeyman did rule.
6/21/2010 7:53:14 AM
I enjoyed this show... though I kept having a lingering expectation of watching Kevin McKidd whipping out a gladius and running someone through.
6/21/2010 10:26:02 AM
^Hahaha me too. He will always be Lucius Vorenus to me.
6/21/2010 10:29:08 AM
NBC is litterally the worst broadcast network. Its funny cause they have the best show (chuck) and then everything else is horrible and unwatchable.
6/21/2010 10:37:07 AM
i'm really not sure why they do it...what do they replace the great shows with, other than total crap? i can't see how their replacements can get better ratings
6/21/2010 2:36:52 PM
they're scrambling to do anything because they're getting totally owned by everyone else. They're also run by morons.
6/21/2010 2:55:30 PM
NBC baffles me beyond words. It's amazing, in the last 6-10 years, the number of quality series that they've been able to ruin from the inside out or kill off before ever getting a chance to bloom. And, arguable their best drama, Friday Night Lights is only given air time due to it being completely produced and paid for by DirecTV over the last 3 seasons so it costs them nothing to air it, yet they still shun it to no man's land on Friday nights even in the summer.

NBC board meeting:"hmmm, well it seems like the younger generation likes conan. Lets brainstorm some ideas on how to capitalize on this unexpected good fortune!""I know! Lets get rid of him and replace him with leno!"*thunderous applause from around the table*
