9/9/2007 3:46:13 PM
Panthers look extremely solid today. No 8-8 season this year. If everyone stays healthy, we should win the division.

Reason : of course with the way the cats play, anything above 8-8 is a miracle]
9/9/2007 11:06:15 PM
we dont beat seattle period
9/9/2007 11:07:26 PM
we have seattle and indy at home so i call undefeated.
9/10/2007 12:17:18 AM
that prediction causes immense amounts of lafta
9/10/2007 12:18:48 AM
The offense was looking in solid 2004 stride but let's get ahold of ourselves here
9/10/2007 2:29:30 AM
I hope you mean 2003
9/10/2007 2:30:20 AM
haha
9/10/2007 3:02:06 AM
I want to see more than one game before undefeated talks begin (see: 2001 season).
9/10/2007 10:39:48 AM
i want to see 15 wins before i talk about undefeatedwe owned the rams just like the last 2 times we played them...their defense is a joke and s-jack and bulger can't do a whole lot without pace...also carolina's defense is ballin and LOLZ at all the idiots panicking about the panthers based on vanilla preseason playcalling
9/10/2007 10:43:15 AM
What is it about you guys? Jesus, we beat one team, particularly one that coughed up the ball many times and we capitalized, and now you think we're world beaters. Look, we look better than any of us thought - but moving on to 'oh yeah baby, we back!@$ - we go undfeated!" talk is so retarded. I think talking about winning the division is realistic and what we should really be talking about.I know it's cliche, but let's stay game to game, I mean isn't it mighty premature to start throwing your hand out there like babe ruth predicting all this shit, when only a week ago you'd think we were lucky to make it to the playoffs? See, being a fan doesnt mean you make predictions that are unbelievable given your evidence. That's not to say it can't happen, and I'm not going to say it isnt - but to start talking that way is just way outta place.[Edited on September 10, 2007 at 10:46 AM. Reason : lay off the koolaid]

I'm going to have to agree with Kainen on this one. The 2nd half against the Rams was awesome, an absolute pleasure to watch, but we were still down at halftime and the loss of Pace showed on the Rams sideline.Yes, Delhomme looked great and the O-line played very cohesively. Smith and Carter also stepped up (well, Carter stepped up and Smith was Smith). But it's just the first game - we started 2001 1-0 and we know where that goes, and we started 2005 at 1-2 and made it all the way to the NFC Championship game. This Sunday versus the Texans will give us a better idea of what we might be looking at for the rest of the season, especially since a win would further increase their confidence heading down to play a Falcons team that might not be able to beat Michigan right now.Plus, undefeated doesn't even matter much in the NFL - and if a team was playing that good, they'd probably end up losing their last one or two because they'd just sit back and rest all of the starters. The division, on the other hand, is totally up for grabs - and I think only the Saints are going to make much of a race out of it. Go Panthers!

There's three things that need to be mentioned before we crown the Panthers Superbowl Champs.1) The Rams have an absolutely terrible run defense due to lack of size up front. My niece could of run on the Rams today. And she's not even 12) Jake looked like the best QB in the league today. But remember, we've all seen good Jake, and we've all seen bad Jake. He usually comes crashing back down to earth at the worst times (Seattle 06)3) The Rams OC should be shot. With the receivers he has, he should of been testing our shit-ass safeties all day long. He also neglected Randy McMichael -- which is dumb considering we didn't really have anyone that could guard himPessimism aside, this team looks like they're for real. IF our offensive line continues to dominate, Jake continues to play at a Brady-like level, our safeties don't suck too hard, and (most importantly) our stars stay healthy, we could be good ... scary good.[Edited on September 10, 2007 at 3:08 PM. if we stay healthy we can play with anybodybeason was a great draft picksmith will draw safeties...as long as carter, etc can catch passes in single coverage we'll be goodzone blocking is nice (even though ram's run defense is shitty)marc bulger and steven jackson didnt look like worldbeaters against OUR defense...and yeah Pace's injury affected that, but it was our defensive juggernauts that caused that injuryi'm glad the jake haters will stfu for at least another week![Edited on September 10, 2007 at 3:11 PM. Reason : tom bulger wtf]
