Can we buy an entire team?i got five on it.
9/22/2007 3:07:05 PM
More like can we buy an offensive line?ITS NOT THE DAMN QB....ITS THE FUCKING OFFENSIVE LINE!!!!
9/22/2007 4:53:42 PM
i think it's safe to say they are both terrible
9/22/2007 5:07:05 PM
I really don't. Philip Rivers couldn't win with this O-Line. QBs here since Rivers have been in a no-win situation. I know under TOB we will build an o-line, but right now you can't blame the QBs for all of it.

Alright I have an idea since all 3 are not getting the job done to say the least.Let's move Dajuan Morgan back to QB and run the option. He was scout team QB as a freshman. We have Javon Walker ready back there to take over a spot. Or hell we could let him play both.
9/30/2007 3:22:52 AM
I'd be ok with not seeing Beck or Evans in the backfield ever again.
9/30/2007 7:32:27 AM
Can we please just put Russell Wilson in there to see what the guy can do? From a passing standpoint, he can't be any worse than what we've got in there right now, plus he'll give our offense second chances with his running ability. I'm not saying start him, but let him take a few series the next few games and see what he can do. Everybody bitching about him burning his red shirt is retarded. One one hand, he could bring a spark to a team that is flat out dead. On the other, he's probably gone after three years via MLB draft.

do you think there is a chance Beck will have 10 interceptions in one game this season?
9/30/2007 10:51:58 AM
in the opponent whenever that would happen, i dont know if we would have 10 possessions in the gamedid you see the time of possession lopsidedness

oh thanks, just rub it in our faces, Lincoln Financial
11/10/2007 3:05:52 PM
That pass hit the reciever in the hands. No use blaming evans for it, when it was TOB who had a run game that was unstoppable and shit in his jorts by deciding to pass it.
11/10/2007 3:06:01 PM
is sint 100% evans, but it wasnt 0% evans eitherhe didnt step into the throw at all, he just kinda tossed it to a covered man
11/10/2007 3:07:04 PM
i think next week, we need to start "direct snap to RB" at qb
11/10/2007 3:32:21 PM
Yeah right. that pass was high and late. its supposed to be low and away. We win games despite evans. This guy is fucking cancer to any team.Jamelle Eugene and the OL making him look goodI hope glennon or wilson or someone can step up and get rid of this wart next year[Edited on November 10, 2007 at 3:37 PM. Great win but theres absolutely no excuse for the self-destruction we've gotten from the QB position the past FOUR seasons. Jesus christ we almost turned a surefire victory into a HORRIBLE loss. That loss would have completely blown our entire season. You can't put your team in a position to blow the entire season by making stupid decisions over and over.Twice on 3rd and long we throw passes that would not have even been first downs that get INT'ed for a td
11/10/2007 3:41:25 PM
I sure hope the Glennon kid coming in next year can develop fast and overtake Evans. There's no excuse to give your biggest rival 2 Ints for TDs.
11/10/2007 3:45:16 PM
His biggest problem is he puts 0 zip on the ball. He just doesn't have the arm. He's fine when he's throwing down the field but anytime he throws to the outside, defenders have all day to catch up to the ball. Our coaches just need to sit him down and explain to him that he has no talent, and shouldn't put any faith in his arm strength to make plays.
11/10/2007 3:45:35 PM
^that isnt his biggest problem, his biggest problem is his decision making, just like every other qb that has stepped on the field for us since rivers
11/10/2007 3:46:46 PM
He's fine when he's throwing down the field early in the game when the defense doesn't adjust, hitting his first option, hitting the underneath route.Otherwise, he panics, can't read his second option, or simply can't make the throw. Eugene makes him look decent sometimes.
11/10/2007 3:49:19 PM
Well yes. It's decision making in that he thinks he can make throws that he is incapable of pulling off.
11/10/2007 3:50:02 PM
sorry but that isnt ithis two ints were when he panicked and tried to force it, you are right that he couldn't make the throws, but really, nobody could have made those throws
11/10/2007 3:53:05 PM
He looks better than he did early this year or late last year, but he still seems to not be able to handle the pressure. As soon as a defender gets a hand on him, it's all over. Even if he could easily get away and throw it away or to his check down, he just curls up in the standing fetal position and waits for it.
11/10/2007 3:56:14 PM
Just dont force things that arent there.....if you take a sack both those times, you kick a field goal each time and put up 6 points. Because he forced it, they in turn scored 14 points. That's a 20 point turnaround. You can't do that and expect to win, which we somehow did anyway. But that's the kind of stuff that gets people fired, costs people their jobs. He has to know that when you're up 17-0 and in the red zone, you dont need to force anything. If it's not there, throw it away or take the sack. We need someone with better football IQ (and a better arm if possible).
11/10/2007 4:00:51 PM
i was trying to tell everybody after the virginia game that it's still the same evans, but no one wanted to listen.eugene won that game by himself.
11/10/2007 5:51:40 PM
the offensive line (+ eugene) and stopping unc's run won that game
11/10/2007 6:58:11 PM
yeah, eugene and our defense saved his ass today.
11/10/2007 7:04:11 PM
the worst thing about the pick sixes is the situation. losing is an excuse to try and force plays but up 17-0 and up by a small amount eat the football.
11/10/2007 7:55:33 PM
one he was trying to force the ball, one was to an open (iirc) marcus stone, but was just a terrible pass.
11/10/2007 7:57:32 PM
At least we don't have Miami's QBs
11/10/2007 8:08:52 PM
^ seriously. They showed a stat during the game tonight that Miami's QB has had 5 completions and 5 INT's in the last 6 quarters (iirc). If I went to school there, I think I would have to at least try out for the spot next season. I've never played, but come on...
11/11/2007 12:06:40 AM
Fact: Evans has thrown for 1118 yards, 7 TDs and 4 ints in the last 4 games with a 121.22 QB rating.Fact: Evans is 6'2", 190LBs (listed on ESPN.com)Fact: He is not and never was supposed to be a great QBFact: He *is* our QB for the this season and possibly next seasonHe has made a lot of improvement, people say he's just going fetal position as soon as he feels pressure but that's really not true. I can think of some great plays he's had with pressure in his face the last few games. He really is making good reads and for those that say he isn't you must just not be watching. He's looking off receivers and checking down when he should. He's reading blitzes and hitting hot routes well (the deep ball down the middle to Stone today was on a saftey blitz that Evans read). But regardless of what you think of him, he is certainly not cancer to a football team...that's just an ignorant statement since we've done nothing but get better and that's only considering what's going on, on the field.Anyways, bottom line, no he's not great, he is never going to be, but we are winning and getting better. So as fans we either keep throwing people under the bus when we are still winning. Or we can just face the fact that at least for this year, possibly next year he IS our QB and support him. I'm sure everyone wishes we had someone better or Marcus Stone turned out to be Tim Tebow but it didn't and this is what we have. It sucks to see good guys who are getting the job done in reality being called a cancer.[Edited on November 11, 2007 at 12:54 AM. Reason : .]

11/11/2007 1:16:00 AM
11/11/2007 2:20:53 AM
I think some people have a problem with the fact that more TD's were thrown by our QB to UNC than to us today, and the first pick six was one of the worst passes/decisions I've ever seen, throwing off your back foot only works consistently when you're Brett Favre.
11/11/2007 10:01:45 AM
11/11/2007 10:43:51 AM
theres some mistakes you just can't make. in that situation up 17-0 deep in teritory yo don't throw any passes that have the slitghtest chance of being picked off and ran all the way back.
11/11/2007 11:27:06 AM
the old 'real fans think their players are good no matter what' argument.never fails.
11/11/2007 11:28:04 AM
I place some of that blame on Bible, but Evans' decision making isn't exactly the best either though. Luckily he has gotten a little better on throwing it away when under pressure and not trying to force it or take a big sack.
11/11/2007 11:29:20 AM
