^talking the whole NBA right there

^^^wade being hurt for the last 30 games of the regular season and playoffs this past year has heavily influenced people's perception of his game.kobe is definitely the best player in the league. and its not really close. other than that i think wade/lebron are 2 and 2a. then nash and duncan.
8/27/2007 4:04:00 PM
I'd simply say Nash is the best point guard, Kobe is the best wing player, Duncan is the best bigI'd say Kobe is the best overall but comparing Nash to Kobe to Duncan is almost like comparing Roger Clemens to Barry Bonds...they do different things
8/27/2007 4:17:36 PM
the center for Mexico is probably the fattest basketball player I have ever seen...Oh shit, behind the back by el gordo!
8/27/2007 11:14:03 PM
man im gonna be pissed if we're only up 20 at halftime btw gracias for the football tips
8/27/2007 11:27:49 PM
halftime? you mean after the first quarter
8/27/2007 11:29:01 PM
my bad haha i just turned it on....feel free to bash mei did think 40 whatever points was kind of low for one half since we've been putting up like 120 / game
8/27/2007 11:29:50 PM
i don't care how high the scores are, i'm not impressed w/ this team, and i don't think they can win gold.
8/27/2007 11:35:28 PM
i'm not gonna feed the troll
8/27/2007 11:38:05 PM
come on, i don't troll! i'm dead serious. they didn't look good at all against brazil. run up the floor and either miss a 3 or mess up an alley oop. then let brazil run into the lane whenever they wanted. =/
8/27/2007 11:41:51 PM
if they're winning every game by 40 points can't they afford to play a little lax defense? they still have the ability to turn it up whenever they need toi mean theres still potential for failure but i think this is the best team we've put out in years[Edited on August 27, 2007 at 11:45 PM. Reason : .]
8/27/2007 11:44:56 PM
^ i'd still rather they play for real everytime out.this isn't the meaningless nba, this is a recently underperforming team usa in a game that we created.
8/27/2007 11:47:15 PM
we did and we also tought the rest of the world to significantly improve their gamesbut if you're up by 60 points you don't really need to dive into a crowd of cameras, for examplei mean if its a blowout in any sport you basically put in scrub players...we dont really have any scrubs, but we also have blown out most teamsi'm as disappointed as anyone at our efforts over teh last few olympics / world games but this team is different
8/27/2007 11:50:15 PM
all i'm saying is, so far it looks like a bunch of really good basketball players playing pickup basketball, which is what we've had before.maybe it's different, but thus far i'm not convinced.
8/27/2007 11:51:32 PM
well only time will tellbut this year we're not satisfied with a couple superstars and a bunch of semistars...we literally have a team of superstars...and i'm no duke fan but i respect K as a coach and i think he really cares about winning this...also in past years superstars like kobe passed up on team invites whether to have more free time or avoid injury or whatever...but this year guys like that seem to really want to win...and say what you will about kobe...he doesnt like to lose
8/27/2007 11:58:47 PM
In general, we are playing good basketball to get up to the 20 point lead. After that, its cruise control. The other team is demoralized and not even trying.
8/28/2007 12:14:19 AM
damn....that kid just made kobe look BAD
8/28/2007 12:22:22 AM
ahaha, castro just punked kobe.If i were him, i would make a DVD of that play and carry it with me everywhere
8/28/2007 12:22:52 AM
bill walton should make it more obvious that he's reading a fact sheet.
8/28/2007 12:28:48 AM
the fact that daniel evans is starting for ncsu vs central florida is big enough news for the ticker
8/28/2007 12:42:26 AM
8/28/2007 9:49:30 AM
Kobe's D is great.
8/28/2007 11:14:59 PM
i can't understand why there's no people at these games.. it's in vegas.. it's all big names
8/29/2007 12:37:10 AM
I was thinking the same thing. Why can't they sell out with 'Melo, James, and Kobe playing?
8/29/2007 7:56:19 AM
BLACK JACKPOKERTOPLESS POOLSPROMISCUOUS SEX these are the reasons no one is there
8/29/2007 12:39:40 PM
Vegas is proving they don't deserve an NBA team.
8/29/2007 12:41:51 PM
^great point
8/29/2007 12:48:54 PM
We're losing to Uruguay!!!(it's early)Bill Walton is really bad at giving geography lessons.
8/29/2007 11:09:54 PM
i really can't stand bill walton's color commentating.
8/29/2007 11:49:17 PM
lebron is killing uruguay
8/29/2007 11:49:23 PM
Lebron is fuckin crazy, 11/11, 26pts in like 13minsDef made some posters out of those guysand amare threw down a 3pt to beat the halftime buzzerI love watching these games
8/29/2007 11:50:28 PM
USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA
8/29/2007 11:51:20 PM
Did anyone else hear Bill Walton compare LeBron James coming down the floor to Hurricane Katrina hitting New Orleans? It was pretty hilarious.
8/30/2007 12:08:49 AM
^yes.... i wasn't quite sure how to react to that.
8/30/2007 12:24:07 AM
8/30/2007 1:52:04 AM
wow.......Melo just.....wow, thats all i can say
8/31/2007 12:31:47 AM
these refs are a joke
8/31/2007 1:14:30 AM
yeah, agreed......they're pretty fuckin terrible.
8/31/2007 1:18:09 AM
The original Dream Team won the gold by an average margin of victory of 44pts.The current team USA is winning by an average of 39 points against SA teams. Is the current competition facing Team USA comparable to the '92 Olympics?Considering the international competition at the olympics will be much tougher than it was in '92, what margin of victory will it take to put the current team on par with the original team?
8/31/2007 9:35:52 AM
i mean, you can argue numbers, but no team will ever match the talent of the originnal dream team... ever
8/31/2007 11:22:36 AM
I would say this team now has a comparable starting 5 but it would be the depth that would kill the new team.starters:kidd - magickobe - JordanLebron - birdmelo - malonehoward - robinsonbut the bench :chancey, miller, prince, amare, deron will, redd, chandlervsstockton, pippen, drexler, mullin, barkley, ewing, laettner
8/31/2007 11:25:51 AM
8/31/2007 11:30:46 AM
8/31/2007 11:43:45 AM
^ and ^^Oliver Miller.
8/31/2007 12:01:49 PM
Talent wise, the original team was better. But Kobe, Melo, and James are more athletic that anyone on the original team other than maybe Jordan (and of course the perfect physical specimen also known as Laettner).I would love to see this match up:
8/31/2007 12:06:02 PM
^^Don't forget Shawn Kemp.
8/31/2007 12:18:43 PM
The '92 team played Barkley more than Malone, and Barkley was probably the MVP of that team. He led the team in scoring. So the starting lineup would probably be MagicJordanBirdBarkleyEwing/RobinsonBut you would probably see both Malone and Pippen more than Bird in a game. Bird's career ended in 1992, because his back was in shambles. His getting the start would mostly just be a token gesture. And Pippen could guard LeBron. He wouldn't shut him down, of course, but he would give LeBron fits.
8/31/2007 12:20:44 PM
Id take Kobe over Jordan all day long..thats just me though
8/31/2007 7:40:29 PM
^yes, it's just you.Looking at those rosters, I'd take the entire '92 team in a heartbeat.
8/31/2007 8:43:50 PM
i'd take kobe over jordan.
8/31/2007 8:45:42 PM
