http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/823/823695p1.htmlIGN's quoting $169.99 ($170) for the 360 & PS3 & $159.99 for the PS2
10/1/2007 5:29:28 PM
Apparently I'm retarded. Unless they changed the article I linked to the other day it said $170 as well, but I typed out $180.

The game will only be sold as a bundle until at least 2008. This means no wireless Xbox 360 guitars until at least 2008. http://www.thebbps.com/blog/2007/10/11/rock-band-the-bundles-dlc-pricing-the-guitar-hero-stigma-disconnected-gaming-and-more/

Full track list released this morning.
10/29/2007 2:21:31 PM
ELECTRIC VERSION!?! (Not to mention RUN TO THE FUCKING HILLS.)It's official: Rock Band's setlist is better than GH3. ]
10/29/2007 2:30:03 PM
Why is Wave of Mutilation in the 2000s? It was on Doolittle..
10/29/2007 2:32:39 PM
Maybe it's the UK Surf version that didn't get released on an LP until 2001.
10/29/2007 2:33:26 PM
nah, apparently it was just a typo on the press release. It's listed correctly on the website.[Edited on October 29, 2007 at 2:48 PM. Reason : I fixed it.]
10/29/2007 2:41:17 PM
^^ I would prefer the UK Surf version to the original.
10/29/2007 3:49:10 PM
The UK Surf version is WAAAY too slow to be fun to play in a game. Not to mention that the guitar parts would be 10% as fun. ]
10/29/2007 4:20:14 PM
that is an awesome setlist
10/29/2007 4:29:25 PM
demo is up at best buy in caryguitar and drums
10/29/2007 10:12:36 PM
are the drums cool to play or not?
10/29/2007 11:00:06 PM
federal, God, and I played it Saturday night at Best Buy while we were waiting for GH3. I only played once but the I just wasn't used to the guitar. The buttons are a little bigger on fret and I'm used to the GH3 one. Also, the BB employees didn't calibrate the drums correctly so it seemed to be off for the first 10 people who played.
10/30/2007 2:20:20 AM
yea, when i went and picked up GHIII on sunday, two dudes were trying not to butcher "Tom Sawyer" in BB Carythat setup was pretty badass
10/30/2007 7:46:04 AM
i just played the drum part for Say it Ain't So in best buy today at lunch and it's way more awesome than guitar hero iii (just got that on sunday). i HAVE to have this game. sucks it's not on wii though. i'll order it for ps3 i guess.the drums were pretty cool to play on. apparently there's a bass pedal but it was nowhere to be found in the store. i liked the parts were you could do your own solo/improvised part. really cool.
10/30/2007 1:18:16 PM
what level did you play on? i can play for real but im wondering if its worth it to get this just for fun or if its too easy/lame
10/30/2007 1:37:57 PM
When we calibrated the drums, the guitar got off, and then when we calibrated the guitar, the drums were off. I'm sure it will be fixed, but it was frustrating. Also, they didn't have the mic working either. I am pretty excited about the solo fretboard though.
10/30/2007 1:44:25 PM
i played on easy. i don't know how to play drums (i do play guitar though) but have want to learn for forever. i'm going to get this game but i still want to get a real drum set one day.go test it out in the store.

10/30/2007 4:58:22 PM
hmm...well i only ever plan on playing drums and 2 guitars (1 will be wireless from gh3) so that shouldnt be a problem, but yeah thats lame
10/30/2007 6:08:23 PM
played it at best buy a few days agocalibration was indeed off like whoa
10/30/2007 6:37:38 PM
playstation 2 version like whoa
10/30/2007 8:32:44 PM
I played the guitar today ... I didn't like the feel at all. Maybe because I'm so used to GH. I did like how quiet the strummer is; the clicking of the GH controllers gets tiresome.
10/30/2007 8:43:17 PM
I'm going to have to see how well it registers with a pick before I decide about it...GH and GH2 work great with a pick, but whoever changed the strum recognition for GH3 sucked all the fun out of it for me, since I now have to think about what I'm doing with my right hand instead of letting it flow.
10/31/2007 12:11:27 PM
rock band unboxing...http://kotaku.com/photogallery/rockbandpics/apparently some walmarts are selling it now early
11/1/2007 12:24:59 PM
the wal-marts that are "breaking street" on it are actually selling their demo units. the same demo units that have no bass pedal and running a non-final version of the code
11/1/2007 2:01:11 PM
hah oops
11/1/2007 2:07:53 PM
Yeah, I was gonna say, those unboxing pics look mighty unprofessional. I didn't think the packaging would look like that for the final versions.
11/1/2007 2:18:14 PM
man I was at best buy yesterday and some teenage kids seemed to already have this game done completely, esp the drummer
11/1/2007 3:10:25 PM
damn teenaged punks
11/1/2007 3:52:20 PM
umm that pictures i posted arent the demo sets....demo sets dont have the bass drum pedal or the microphoneso look again, plus theres other pictures of people that do have the ENTIRE package
11/1/2007 3:53:11 PM
I like the RB guitar a million times more than the GH controller. It's amazing what a little proper neck and fretboard radius can do for the feel.
11/1/2007 3:54:37 PM
so i played this for the first time in best buy todaythat is pretty funi don't know if it's $170 fun though
11/3/2007 12:25:06 PM
news of shortages = many purchases by myselfown rock band this holiday season for $250
11/3/2007 1:08:03 PM
the guitar is better than the gh version.the frets are better spaced.
11/3/2007 2:21:31 PM
11/3/2007 2:25:34 PM
xbox.com and rock band's official store is showing 11/27 release date now, that'd suck, i wanted it to play over thanksgiving
11/3/2007 4:01:51 PM
That doesnt make sense, especially because harmonix's last official word was they were bumping it up from the 23rd to the 20th.http://www.gamespot.com/news/6181687.html?action=convert&om_clk=latestnews&tag=latestnews;title;0You got a link for a press release or something?Ebgames.com and others still show it on the 20th.
11/3/2007 7:44:54 PM
When I preordered it a couple of weeks ago the guy at EB Games said it was coming out on Black Friday, the 23rd.
11/4/2007 8:07:25 AM
23 to 20 to 27 apparently now, go read forumswasnt harmonix who is changing it, its the publisher not developer apparently, we'll see
11/4/2007 10:01:55 AM
Alright, this is bugging me.Black Sabbath made more songs than Paranoid, War Pigs, and Iron Man.Seriously.
11/4/2007 10:08:09 AM
i think the BS song in rock band is a cover too
11/4/2007 10:34:29 AM
Damn, I've been waiting to play this game for months now. I played the demo at Best Buy, but the demo drumset doesn't have a kick pedal. I was actually a little disappointed at the drumset. I was expecting the drum heads to be rubber, but they have a hard plastic feel with no resilience, which makes drum rolls impossible. Maybe putting rubber bands on the drumsticks would solve that problem, I dunno. So imo, the drumset should not be a substitute for learning how to play. The feel is completely different, but it's a great way to develop rhythm. And it is still quite addicting. I don't like having to pay $170 for a game, but I'm most likely going to buy it. I anticipate at least 8 or 9 more Rock Band games with drums. Also, has anyone thought about getting a microphone stand? I wonder if it would fit in the clamp.[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 1:13 AM. 11/5/2007 1:35:18 AM
I'm not sure, since the neck isn't as wide as a real guitar's and it's hard to compare. It felt like somewhere between 16-20".
11/5/2007 1:39:57 AM
info about 7 bonus songs released.
11/5/2007 10:34:50 AM
guitarguy, the release date is still the 20th.HMXJohn confirmed it on the rockband forums.http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=6602&page=6
11/5/2007 2:48:59 PM
^yes, i saw that...it was posted after the rumor started going around about the 27th
11/5/2007 3:09:19 PM
