Yeah, well take a look at an Avalon next to a Camry. Not much difference except for size. As a matter of fact the chassis are not-just-kissing-but-full-on-fucking cousins. I swear it...I've worked on quite a few of both.

6/25/2007 10:22:37 AM
You need to pull the "im so smart" stick out of your ass! And maybe grab your head while your in there!

Aren't you the dude that drives that piece work quilt of a Dodge truck? Wow, look who's talking. Nuff said.
6/25/2007 9:13:48 PM
Baby, das' de SuperDodge. And that is a baaaad motherfucker.Betcha somebody saw it on Hillsborough St Saturday night.
6/25/2007 9:15:59 PM
I did see it when I was coming out of El Rodeo. That's got to be the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Even worse than the pictures on here. I mean, you really must have had to TRY to make it that ugly. It sounds about as bad as it looks too.
6/25/2007 9:20:51 PM
That, sir, is the unmuffled symphony of 6 cylinders of Cummins glory, accompanied by the shrill melody of the Holset H1 turbo. That imagery just sent chills down my spine. You should envy me.
6/25/2007 9:23:42 PM
That, sir, is like the unmuffled symphony that come out of my ass on the toilet.
6/25/2007 9:25:54 PM
Different strokes for different folks. Diesel power is what I dig. And that's what they sound like. The '72 Mack DM600 Sidewinder (twin-stick Mack with a window in the back) that I used to drive sounded even better. It would have been even better than that had the turbo not been shot to hell.I miss big trux.
6/25/2007 9:29:32 PM
haha, who is this clown?
6/25/2007 9:37:43 PM

I WAS going to offer you a finder's fee if you could help me out, Matt. Looks like you're SOL now...
6/27/2007 8:54:59 AM
6/27/2007 9:02:53 AM
Actually, Matt would get a pretty nice finder's fee if he hooked me up with the right car. He's helped me quite a bit in the past.
6/27/2007 9:16:21 AM
don't knock it till you try it
6/27/2007 9:25:09 AM
yo i havent been keeping up with this thread at all but I noticed you mentioned a maxima in chit chat.My friend's boss (a pharmacist) kind of has his '01 SE maxima for sale. Supposedly it's in IMMACULATE shape, ALL options, and manual transmission. the car is white with no mods, as far as I know. I've forgotten the mileage, but I can find out if you want more info. $10k was the last asking price I heard. I think the v6 came with 220hp or so that year.
6/27/2007 9:27:37 AM
If it's got alloys, I'd definitely be interested. I really don't know if I can budget that kind of money, but I'm very interested in looking.Where's the car at, Tcheng?
6/27/2007 9:42:17 AM
you can pick up some take off alloys or even some aftermarket junk pretty cheap. i wouldn't let that hold you back if the price is right.
6/27/2007 10:52:08 AM
The price definitely has to be right, then, because I don't think I can get a set of factory alloys used for under 400 bux. Though I may be wrong. The idea is to not have to touch the car at all, though. If alloys are a different size than the wheels on the car, then that means new tires as well. My budget is already gonna be strained buying a car @ $10k.
6/27/2007 11:10:05 AM
i'll try to have info and pics asapthe pharmacist works in hickory so he's around there somewhere
6/27/2007 11:36:22 AM
That is a bit of a far drive to look at a car. I'm thinking of buying tomorrow, if all things work out satisfactorily. I'm tired of procrastinating.
6/27/2007 11:43:46 AM
God, yesterday was a busy day. I was exhausted.
6/29/2007 8:30:54 AM
what did you check out?no word yet about the maxima
6/29/2007 8:55:06 AM
A couple of Maximas...one was in my price range, and it was a nice car...had the 3.5 VQ in it. But I didn't like the idea of only 26 mpg (EPA figures; you know real life is always worse), and the power was just way too tempting. arghx is right...the temptation to press the "go" pedal frequently and deeply would just be too much. For a daily driver, that kind of thing is just not going to be a good idea.I also looked at a couple of Accords, and man, the prices are astronomical. It's hard to find a good 4-door for a good price; they hold their value really well.Time was in short supply yesterday...I had a doc's visit that I had previously not planned (blood pressure issues that turned out not to be issues; don't trust the machines at the pharmacy!), so my day was really packed.
6/29/2007 10:10:22 AM
you aight? I've been driving a subaru lately and the gopedal is definitely tempting.
6/29/2007 10:17:14 AM
I'm off to pick up a new 40' Tiara. I'll let you know how the go-sticks handle.
6/29/2007 10:21:53 AM
I picked up an '03 Accord EX coupe. 5-speed. It ain't too bad, but I really couldn't refuse on account of the price. Well I could have refused, but the price I got was shockingly low (at least I thought so, especially after calling my bank and finding out the loan value and low/high retail values of the car).I would have preferred 4 doors, because 2 is often inconvenient. But see reason above.
6/29/2007 12:04:24 PM
so when are we getting some trays from bojangles and going to a parking lot?
6/29/2007 12:25:41 PM
Uhhh...man, I got to make this car last! I don't want to be paying on it long after I've beaten the shit out of it; I'd rather be driving long after it's paid for, or maybe at least sold with a decent amount of equity. It's got the 2.4 4-banger anyway. And 90k miles. But still looks and runs damn good.
6/29/2007 1:31:35 PM
yeah, it's not a terribly boring car to drive either. my ex gf had one. it would do some mean burnouts with the e-brake locked.
6/29/2007 1:36:59 PM
Not a total powerhouse...but EPA-listed 34 mpg really floats my boat.
6/29/2007 3:47:10 PM
the gas mileage will be crucial compared to the cummins.post pics my friend.
6/30/2007 10:52:02 AM
Don't have any yet...'cause I don't own a digital camera.
6/30/2007 11:02:10 AM
6/30/2007 11:54:08 AM
If I had money to blow, and didn't care about gas mileage as much, I would love to have a V6 Coupe with the 6-speed transmission. But alas, I had limited resources and still have to worry about rent for wherever it is that I move.
6/30/2007 1:37:21 PM
Nice, um, girl car.
6/30/2007 2:25:52 PM
set em up
