well you are not going to like Iraq when we leave.....if you think things are bad now wait until that government falls and you have what looks like a Quentin Tarantinofilm film.

What does that have to do with my question? If anything, it sounds as if you are taking the standpoint that our presence there, and therefore the inevitable loss of life, is justified.

Heres an interview with a Arab kid from Jersey City, NJ who agrees with the suicide bombing thing. I think its a bit alarming, but also lets you into the philosophy of their people.. i.e. we are Muslims first and Americans second.http://youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

ever seen jesus camp?
5/24/2007 5:33:31 PM
no i havent but i fail to see how an anecdote about another religion's extremists has any relevancedoes this jesus camp you speak of teach people how to wire c4 explosives?]
5/24/2007 5:43:11 PM
it actually speaks directly to that, with some of the leaders of the camp saying that american christians need to have the dedication (or some such word) to the cause that the middle eastern muslims do.point being: most christians aren't like this, but neither are most muslims. posting a video of one kid doesn't really show much. just like jesus camp doesn't really represent most of mainstream christianity.

but you playing devils advocate just to attempt to not offend one religion more than another doesnt change the fact that violent radical MUSLIMS are responsible for most of the terrorism nowadaysyou can feel free to talk about the crusades and try to be politically correct and not offend muslims...or you can realize that there is predominantly one religion nowadays whose small radical sect is responsible for most of the terrorism nowadaysand even though i'm an agnostic, last time i checked there werent any christian preachers and priests urging their churchgoers to declare war on non-christians and use violence to get their point across
5/24/2007 5:52:25 PM
but i wager that this has less to do with the nature of each given religion and more to do with the socioeconomic positions most of the followers of the two given religions are in. as someone else suggested earlier, if america were invaded and you thought suicide bombing would make the invaders leave more quickly, would you be so quick to denounce the act?are there any areas where suicide bombings are a common occurence where muslims aren't being oppressed or invaded in some way?[Edited on May 24, 2007 at 5:56 PM. Reactions to the poll:

^ In fairness, he didn't actually compare the riding of motorcycles to blowing themselves up... He compared it to "saying suicide bombings are justified on a telephone survery"The information in the poll is worth exactly what you paid for it.
6/8/2007 10:45:35 AM
still funny he picked that analogy imo.....and the majority of suicide bombers are younger muslims.
6/8/2007 10:51:59 AM
Wait, the reaction that suicide bombing is could be justified in some circumstance against and undiclosed enemy?SHOCKING [Edited on June 8, 2007 at 11:49 AM. Reason : .]

6/10/2007 9:52:56 AM
