ga ga ga ga ga is definitely a good one and has been all over the fucking place on mainstream outlets (commercials, football games, SNL, etc)

My parents love Magic album. My dad played it all the way down to Columbia on Saturday.[Edited on November 26, 2007 at 3:08 PM. Reason : grrrrr]

^^^^ I love the cohesiveness of the album even though many of the tracks sample different genres.http://youtube.com/watch?v=SuoxwpKnHQkGui Boratto - "Beautiful Life"[Edited on November 26, 2007 at 3:26 PM. Reason : ^]

I feel like almost every new album I've gotten into this year has been outstanding, with the exception of Sky Blue Sky, which has nearly destroyed an unrelenting faith in Wilco that I've had since I first heard Being There.Akron/Family - Love is SimpleWeen - La CucarachaArcade Fire - Neon BibleBand of Horses - Cease to BeginLCD Soundsystem - Sound of SilverSpoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga GaWhite Stripes - Icky ThumpQOTS - Era VulgarisOkkervil River - The Stage NamesBlonde Redhead - 23Radiohead - In RainbowsRyan Adams - Easy Tiger (no jacksonville city nights, but still great)
11/26/2007 6:16:13 PM
i refuse to give ryan adams the time of day anymore based solely on how much of an asshole he is and his almost complete avoidance of NC these days.
11/26/2007 6:17:57 PM
There are a couple of good songs on Easy Tiger, but I find it generally underwhelming.

Im actaully really liking the Tera Melos quite a bit bassman803. Not sure how I hadnt heard of them before.Sometimes I wish they were actually more straightforward (feels weird for me to say that) because I think they could write a lot of great catchy melodies. Then again I guess thats what minus the bear is for

i'm glad someone brought up mtb's planet of ice. is it album of the year material? no. but it's def worth checking out. they went back to they're routes of writing good music/songs rather than trying to sound like an emo-botch band. i think this one can strike with nearly anyone. ...but i am a long time mtb fan.
11/27/2007 9:00:31 AM
yea its a fun album, my favorite from them in a few, but i like em all
11/27/2007 9:07:30 AM

me and paste have the same top 2sign me up, paste
11/29/2007 2:25:37 PM
am i missing something? at what point did modest mouse's last album rise above mediocrity?
11/29/2007 2:27:30 PM
yeah, they also have "writers block" on their list but it came out last year
11/29/2007 2:29:43 PM
but seriously. i'm a big MM fan, but i didn't enjoy their last album. it has been in more than one top 10 list for the year.
11/29/2007 2:31:00 PM
i enjoyed it a lot more than "good news...." but it shouldnt be anywhere close to the top 10i cant believe strawberry jam is so low on that list
11/29/2007 2:32:52 PM
see, i enjoyed good news alright (nowhere near their previous efforts but still a good album in my book)also: sky blue sky was a pretty big disappointment to me.
11/29/2007 2:33:41 PM
4 and 7 pretty much invalidate that entire list in my mind.
11/29/2007 2:43:01 PM
sky blue sky was the most disappointing album of 2007agree?
11/29/2007 3:09:53 PM
THAT IS BULLSHIT.
11/29/2007 3:14:12 PM
Magic at #3? Sounds good. But who the hell is Paste magazine?
11/29/2007 3:23:33 PM
11/29/2007 4:09:10 PM
Yeah really. Is it similar to Rolling Stone?
11/29/2007 4:11:17 PM
better than rolling stone. still a little lame. but one of the better widely-circulated print magazines.
11/29/2007 4:32:29 PM
if youd've acted a couple weeks ago, you could have a year's subscription to Paste for as little as $1.They Radiohead-ed it and let everyone name their price.
