My brother lost a leopard at cedar hills a while back, and then found it mounted on a rack at play it again off 70 yesterday. It's a small, small world in disc golf.

What are the good courses in the greensboro area?
7/1/2007 10:36:23 AM
Barber park is aiight, but I havent been there in years. Greensboro sucks, go to the 36 hole monster course in burlington...
7/1/2007 11:46:05 AM
I thought I had heard rumors that Barber Park was shut down. Contaminated soil or something. There's a good course in Yadkinville. I think a new one just opened in Statesville as well. Those are kind of Greensboro-ish.
7/1/2007 12:53:10 PM
yeah barber park is shut down. there's on in high point on johnson street off skeet club road that isn't bad. i just got back from it actuallythe holes aren't very long though, i usually get 3's and 4's on them[Edited on July 1, 2007 at 4:44 PM. Reason : .]
7/1/2007 4:41:48 PM
Is the park off Castle Hayne the only place in the Wilmington area? I'm in Southport.
7/1/2007 7:33:51 PM
anyone else playing in the great eight tomorrow?amateur doubles here.
7/6/2007 4:42:47 PM
^ I played it. A friend of mine and I broke the speed record by finishing in 3 hrs, 39 mins, and 31 seconds. We we done with all 8 courses by about 3:40pm
7/9/2007 7:21:43 AM
got my first ace at kaplan today
7/25/2007 7:08:32 PM
which hole?still looking for a Jaguar if anyone has one they want to sell]
7/25/2007 7:59:15 PM
9...there is a red sidewinder (i think) that i lost last night in the dark on 8 if anyone wants to look for it...it is somewhere on the other side of the creek bed[Edited on July 25, 2007 at 8:04 PM. Reason : also found a roc mid range today]
7/25/2007 8:03:43 PM
I've resorted to a tomahawk on 9 because of the trees. nice shot
7/25/2007 8:08:29 PM
congrats amac884...your goal for your next disc golf achievement should be beating me at a greater than 5% clip.
7/26/2007 5:30:18 PM
^ you must be stuck in '05...in related news, your roommate has lost 4 post-match drinks and a movie rental to me this week
7/26/2007 5:33:25 PM
anyone play hole 10a out at kaplan yet? fun as hell to go over the creek...i was trying to reach it today from the parking lot, got one into the creek but i think from the lot its like a 450' shot, hard to pull off with the small window
7/26/2007 10:22:17 PM
i haven't tried it yet, was thinking about it yesterday...maybe tomorrow
7/26/2007 10:33:33 PM
i almost aced it from the 10 teepad a couple days ago with an old CE Eagle
7/27/2007 12:22:13 AM
i was wondering what in the hell that basket was doing over there? Anyone have a story behind who put it out there? The owners of that house?
7/27/2007 3:56:35 AM
yea the guy with the huge dog built it apparently and put it out there...pretty nice, but i am wondering how long before someone jacks it[Edited on July 27, 2007 at 4:02 AM. Reason : ]
7/27/2007 4:02:00 AM
i think he told me that he found the basket, as in someone left it in the parking lot for whatever reason...so he brought it over there, either way its labeled as 10a or Leerock's basket
7/27/2007 5:54:03 AM
so if you overthrow the basket your disc will be gone FOR-E-VERFOR-E-VER
7/27/2007 12:35:36 PM
was it put out there since last weekend?
7/27/2007 1:03:09 PM
played out at Harris Lake today, +4 from the whites is decent for me, but I had a great time. Also, has anyone ever built their own disc golf basket? I'm thinking about buying some $10 plans on eBay, mainly because that will mean I don't have to deal with trying to figure our the intricacies on my own. any thoughts?
7/28/2007 5:04:51 PM
yeah it is pretty easy. you thinking about using wood or metal? (not talking about the chains)
7/28/2007 5:59:20 PM
^^^^not many people should be overthrowing it out there
7/28/2007 10:47:19 PM
i really would like to witness....b/c i am pretty new to disc golf.....someone throwing it that far. While talking to the guy up at play it again sports, he said he could drive it ~500 yards. I thought that was pretty crazy
7/29/2007 1:27:43 AM
you mean 500 ft...and if he could do that then he should be playing pro....he can probably only throw 400...
7/29/2007 6:21:58 AM
i can throw somewhere between 400-500 feet...i just havent practiced enough distance throws to keep it accurate though, i know a few people who can throw it farther than i can and i would never consider them going pro
7/29/2007 10:49:53 AM
Shot -5 out at Kaplan earlier today. Played well yesterday too. It has been really nice weather all weekend.
7/29/2007 3:15:13 PM
next thursday is the last week for Kentwood summer doubles this year, i will be vying for the top spot for overall amateur division winner after 2 good rounds to surge up to the top(-18 last week, yes birdied every hole, and -17 this week...with the same partner, talk about some luck)anyone who likes to play disc golf and has $3 to shell out should come out.
8/24/2007 1:53:59 AM
got me an ace on 4 yesterday...yeehaw
8/24/2007 1:56:02 AM
nice. #4 was the last one i got out there, like 2 or 3 weeks ago, prob about 5 chain outs since then what do you throw on 4?[Edited on August 24, 2007 at 1:57 AM. Reason : d]
8/24/2007 1:57:26 AM
i shot a -7 a kaplan a couple days ago.. one of my best scores. i had one hit off the basket off the tee off is that 10a hole really labeled? i'd like to try it but not if they're gonna get upset that im in their yard by their horse dog
8/24/2007 2:01:15 AM
i dont think its actually his yard, plus i think he put it there for anyone to play it. ive almost aced it twice now, my best chance went right underneath it, i wouldve taken off in a mad sprint to the basket had i aced it^ -7 is pretty good[Edited on August 24, 2007 at 2:12 AM. Reason : d]
8/24/2007 2:04:43 AM
no one has mentioned how they finally cut the foliage on #3 so you can actually see the basket from the tee now oh and i "saw" someone ace #5 the other day... and by saw i mean heard it, turned and saw it in and the guy going nuts (thats a tough shot uphill, etc)
8/24/2007 2:11:50 AM
yea, i havent aced 5 yet, came close once but it is tough...and number 3 is way too easy again, i liked having to go over the foliage, the course is alraedy easy enough there
8/24/2007 2:13:26 AM
yeah i just like being able to see the basket so i can aim better than just guessing about where it is
8/24/2007 2:14:43 AM
yea i can agree with you if im playing a course im unfamiliar with, but i know this course forwards, backwards, blind, and some holes left-handed...i really have played it way too many times
8/24/2007 2:27:39 AM
damn JTgood luck on the tournament!
8/24/2007 8:41:20 AM
went out there yesterday and shot a 10 down, I don't play that course enough anymore, I always deemed it as shitty, but it's not bad for the land they have.
8/24/2007 9:09:30 AM
kentwood is definitely an easy course. but i enjoy playing it. it has all the different hole types and you can put up a good score and feel good about your disc golf game.
8/24/2007 10:50:55 AM
^^^thanks man, you still playing any?
8/24/2007 1:24:30 PM
the big advantage of Kentwood is that its like 5 seconds away, and doesnt take a long time to play and you dont have to walk too far. its a good course for relaxing
8/24/2007 1:38:00 PM
played kentrock during lunch today10a is pretty hardcore - and thank god 3 has been cleaned up
8/30/2007 3:57:10 PM
w00t, i won the amateur division for summer doubles. more than likely im just gonna go straight to pro for next year, assuming im still living in raleigh
8/30/2007 9:53:30 PM
congrats dude, you play well, one thing i really like in your game is how you can take a putter really high and have it drop straight down w/out much hyzer. Enjoy your trophy!
8/30/2007 11:03:30 PM
thanks, how much did you play out there this year? im pretty bad with names out there unless i played with the person or a few who played in my group, so im not exactly sure who you are by this username.
8/31/2007 1:03:15 AM
^^nvm, i didnt read your profile to see your name till today. thanks for the congrats. i already messed up the trophy disc by throwing a backhand roller down kaplan at #2 basket, lol jk
9/4/2007 1:42:15 AM
I got my FIRST ACE EVER at Kentwood today on hole #1!!! It was sweeeet!
9/4/2007 2:46:43 AM
awesome man, keep it up. one of the best feelings is to see an ace like halfway in its flight, when you know its going in.
9/4/2007 2:50:31 AM
