ok, now that I've calmed down a little... Maybe I'll get myself that exact same sign [I AM A THIEF I STOLE FROM WALMART] and stand outside of the WALMART here in Charlotte. The nigger stole from walmart because she has no discipline, brains, or education. It's possible she did it for fun or for attention but unlikely. In my opinion, we failed our duty to her. We should be denied our children's trust funds and scholarships to finance her voluntary rehabilitation. Brand X's controllers use money to hire MBA's and Atty's to execute selfishness and abuse of fellow man for the purpose of garnering said monies. The nigger did the exact same thing. 1) This person commited an act of theft. It wasn't some misunderstanding, she didn't plead innocent. It was blantant ,outright theft.

2) They don't use "Chinese slave labor". Factory work in China is one of the highest paying job opportunities in the country, and workers demand to work double shifts and overtime. They are building their economy and infrastructure and wages rise accordingly. Evidence: South Korea, Taiwan and Japan.

3) I don't know what this "at the expense of human rights" is even referring to. But they aren't human rights violators. If you are again referring to China, maybe you should look at the alternatives factory workers have. If you do, you'll see factory work is MUCH cleaner, safer and a healthier environment to live in. Not only that, the housing and nutrition for factory workers better as well.

4) Why should you respect someone who has no respect for others (or their belongings). She was given alternatives, she CHOSE of her own FREE WILL (you know, the principles of democracy here) to take this sentencing alternative.

You have the right to freedom and liberty IF you obey the laws.

This is the land of opportunity, not the land of government enforced child development. If someone wants to do nothing with their life, it's their choice. If she WANTED help, there are plenty of opportunities out there.

Like ^ said. Walmart has allowed low income families to better their standard of living. They have effectively lowered the real poverty level in this country by making medicine, food and staple items (clothing, personal care items, supplies) accessible to people at the brink of poverty. They also employ more than a million people. You might whine and moan about their employment practices (which to some extent I do think are shady at times), the fact is they are keeping food on the tables of a million more people.

And what's the alternative? Mom & Pop stores with drastically higher prices that the Walmart consumer can't afford? No. It would be Target, Kmart, or any number of other mass-market retail store that will effectively do the same thing.

Rural Chinese are subjugated by their government BECAUSE of the palm-greasing our metaphorical Walmart does. I wish more more ethically cutting-edge organizations could pay their MBA's and Attys the kind of money Walmart does. Walmart (the real one) wanted to bring us cheaper gasoline along with our cheaper Cheetos brand corn snacks and non filesharing DVD's but the even more powerful oil industry stopped them via anti-trust laws.
