Ahmet, I thought it was fake leather standard?
10/29/2007 12:55:13 PM
Leatherette is standard.
10/29/2007 1:04:49 PM
fags.my guitar hero guitar is leather. Wii > BMWCLEARLY
10/29/2007 1:33:21 PM
Yesh, hence the "s.Ahmet
10/29/2007 2:48:42 PM
The leatherette that BMW and Mercedes were using in the 80's is some seriously tough material. Far longer lasting than cloth or real leather. Too bad it doesn't feel like real leather.
10/29/2007 3:26:16 PM
Played around with a 128i convertible in Atlanta earlier this week. I'd pretty much sum it up as a slightly smaller spitting image of the E9X.....
11/9/2007 5:00:42 PM
well that is exactly what it is......
11/10/2007 1:58:16 AM
OVERPRICED.http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/15/bmw-strike-officially-strike-accidentally-prices-135i-at-35/
11/15/2007 12:48:11 PM
^ haha cool URLBMW officially accidentally prices 135i at $35,675*man that is way overpriced.
11/15/2007 2:11:53 PM
is keyless entry and an ipod dock really 900$ in optionsor is "comfort acess" where you dont have to put the key in the car.....like on the prius
11/15/2007 6:34:28 PM
yeah, you can prob count me out of that one. Too heavy, probably too soft, and too expensive.
11/15/2007 8:12:06 PM
well fuck that
11/15/2007 10:03:12 PM
bmw, you are idiots
11/16/2007 8:07:41 AM
Overpriced and ugly.
11/16/2007 9:16:27 AM
ngrs plz.it will be like $30K fully loaded.
11/16/2007 9:52:38 AM
Comfort Access is currently an overpriced 500$ option. I wouldn't be surprised if the mid-life refresh on e90's added it as standard and I'd certainly expect the mid cycle refresh on e92's to add it as standard.

Went back for another class in South Carolina (at the driving school)......they had a 135i and a 128i vert there now. Got to ride in the 135i.....definately a fast little car. I liked the looks in the few pics/video I saw online........but like the car better in person.

gay. i'd rather have a 3-series.just as porky, but less practical than a 335i.Good idea, BMW...but shitty execution.[Edited on February 13, 2008 at 7:20 PM. Reason : and not cheap, either][Edited on February 13, 2008 at 7:30 PM. Reason : i guess we'll have to wait for the 1/2 series to get back to what a 3-series should be]
2/13/2008 7:20:13 PM
No car will ever be as light as they should be anymore. Stupid crash regulations, sound insulating, NVH limiting measures all make cars weigh about 1.4 times what they should/could weigh
2/14/2008 8:09:12 AM
The problem with the 135i is it looks like all the photos of it were taken through a circus mirror. Its all bulging in and out sporadically. see http://www.autoblog.com/photos/bmw-135i-official-shots/638189/I dont know if i like it or not. It's probably the images that are whack. [Edited on February 14, 2008 at 8:21 AM. Reason : .]
2/14/2008 8:20:28 AM
Tell me that doesn't look exactly like a Hyundai Accent.STILL UGLY.
2/14/2008 1:22:17 PM
well I like it anyway. the weight doesn't even really bother me. 3400 lbs is comparable to sti, evo X
2/14/2008 4:33:28 PM
it's a couple hundred pounds more than an Evo, except the new fatass, kinder, gentler Evo X.What I'm saying, though, is that it would be an appealing car if it weighed, ohh, 2800 lbs...or maybe even 3000, and undercut the 3-series pricing more substantially. At 3400 lbs and close-to 3-series pricing, I'd by far rather just have a 3-series.

at first i thought nissan sentra from the back. it's been said before, but i'll say it again, great idea...TERRIBLE executionit will sell like hotcakes though, so who am i to disagree
2/22/2008 12:34:24 PM
Got 3 in Chapel Hill today128i128ic135iThe 135i stickered at $41,800.......the 128ic was more than that.....
3/17/2008 3:59:20 PM
we got about 5 here in gso, one 135 was already sold and we got a couple 128i coupes and a 128cici got to drive the 135 and i must say its a damn quick car, rides and handles, to me, like a 335 all day long and stops on a dime. only real difference i can tell in that and a fullsize 3 series is that its almost easier to slip the rear wheels in curves, possibly because of the shorter driveshaft keeping the torque transferred higher and some of it may just have to do with the overall weight of the car.either way you cut it, this car is def not too soft, too heavy, or too slow...
3/17/2008 4:47:49 PM
i was disappointed when I was at Leith BMW on Capital Blvd that they didn't have any 135's on the lot.
3/17/2008 5:10:40 PM
3/17/2008 5:19:38 PM
makes plenty of sense if you know what youre talking about, all my instructors at bmw school have always insisted shorter driveshafts mean more torque to the rear end, longer driveshafts are more rotational mass to lose torque through, simple as that.make enough sense or do i need to draw you a picture to go with that?
3/17/2008 9:00:06 PM
who would pay 41000 for a hyundai?
3/17/2008 9:20:28 PM
i want a 135i with a LSD. I wonder if any of the older LSDs would bolt on to it.
3/18/2008 8:50:22 AM
A lot of people have said this car looks much better in person than in photos.I call bullshit. Saw this at the NY auto show last night and it still looked stubby and misproportioned to me.blah
3/26/2008 12:28:13 PM
lol, i think he's talking about the actual statement and the way it was delivered.i mean, what the hell is "torque transferred higher"you dont gotta quote your driving school instructor to make it sound like you know what you're talking about.just gotta say, more torque to the wheels.simple.
3/26/2008 12:33:59 PM
I'm gonna get flamed for this, but why buy a 300hp 135i for close to $40k when you have (if you wait a year) Hyundai Genesis Coupe w/305hp for under $30k?
3/26/2008 12:36:15 PM
^ ouch... put your flame-suit on!btw, it is 315 hp, and my guess is that it will start at 26-27K.
3/26/2008 12:45:02 PM
I saw it at the auto show as well and am ready to put down a deposit right now! Hot interior too.
3/26/2008 12:46:36 PM
^^^"Hyundai confirmed that the stylish Genesis Coupe will offer two engines - a turbocharged four cylinder and an upgraded version of the 3.8 liter Lambda V6. The four cylinder will put out an estimated 212 horsepower using regular grade gasoline and 223 on premium. The V6 will put out 306 on regular and 310 on premium, which Hyundai says will make it the least expensive 300 horsepower coupe in the world."http://www.leftlanenews.com/hyundai-genesis-coupe.html[Edited on March 26, 2008 at 12:55 PM.
