^ I agree. But DaBird said:

Sharpton very well might be against the rappers/gangstas too but he doesnt call for labels to drop them. He doesnt haul them on the radio. He doesnt ask for boycotts. He is a hypocritical attention whore monger.
4/11/2007 3:14:19 PM
^ That's retard reasoning. That's like saying we shouldn't arrest peopel for speeding, since there are other people selling drugs/murdering/whatever.

i said it before and i'll say it againsharpton is like a drug dealer who preaches to people that drugs are bad while selling them at the same timeimus' comments upset blacks, i'm sure...but they upset blacks after they heard them...like "hey did you hear what imus said about us blacks?" and then "who the hell is imus" and then "here listen!""how dare that white man say that!"all the while ignoring the 'bitches aint shit but hoes and tricks' type mentality thats eating up parts of their society from within

^^ If Al Sharpton never existed, and this happened, this would still be news.If at least 1 black person listens to his show, they are going to be upset about it, and call for the guy to at least get in some kind of trouble for it with his boss.Nationally known celebrities making racist comments is going to make the news.I don't think Sharpton is ignoring the problems with hip-hop culture. In fact, most black leaders and blacks in general speak negatively of those types of things, but it's the media and media companies that promote it (because it makes money). Not disproportionately so, but you have to keep in mind that a majority of the record sales of that type of music is still to white patrons. In any case, black music isn't keeping blacks down, it's a product of their situation. It's the effect, not the cause.[Edited on April 11, 2007 at 3:32 PM. Reason : ]

^^but the point was, i heard about it briefly on maybe Thursdayit wasnt the media circus it is for a few days^i agree i just think it got blown way out of proportion...also someone like sharpton is a MASSIVE hypocrite...for example he called the three duke lacrosse players "rapists" and was very instrumental in ruining the lives of three college kids, probably because they were rich and white
4/11/2007 3:31:20 PM
^ He and many other contributed. He was, by no means, the sole progenitor or even enabler of their problems. It was mostly a dumb bitch cunt that screwed them over, and a corrupt lawyer. Sharpton, and MANY others, screwed up by jumping on the anti-Duke bandwagon.

the 'ho' line is sexist...if you're some insecure hothe 'nappy head' line is racist...if you're some insecure black personpeople are just too fucking sensitivewhats more important, the right to free speech or the right to not be offended by anything ever
4/11/2007 4:00:42 PM
^ free speech cuts both ways... Sharpton and other have a right to complain about someone else's speech if they want to.
4/11/2007 4:03:51 PM
i agree...that should be imus' punishment...dealing with other peoples' free speechpeople also need to toughen up their damn skin cause those people are gonna have fits their entire lives because they will find something to offend them as long as they livewhat happened to the old 'sticks and stones...' saying?

bush always seems pretty confident...like when he's giving all the members of the press his nicknames..."hey there slim"
4/11/2007 4:14:49 PM
think of the chaos that would ensue if a black lady accused imus of raping her...
4/11/2007 5:35:33 PM
she'd probably be an actual nappy-headed ho, like crystal mangum
4/11/2007 5:49:53 PM
Maybe FOX will make a reality show where they both have to live together
4/11/2007 5:58:16 PM
wonder what would happen if Sharpton called some guy a dumb redneck......I am assuming absolutely nothing. Its funny how important race still is in the world
4/11/2007 6:22:04 PM
^ it's a huge deal here, especially. it's the legacy of slavery. blacks in britain have way less crap to put up with than they do here, and as a result, so do the whites.

Was the original post complaining about how the liberal media was not criticizing him enough? HAHAHAHAHAHAwhat a faggot
4/11/2007 8:03:23 PM
it is hilarious how stern and co are busting him up on their show
4/11/2007 8:04:34 PM
care to recap? Id love to hear what stern says.Amazing how he gets fired for a dumb comment, but the lacross bitch gets a book deal by destroying lives and lying.
4/11/2007 8:32:15 PM
they have spent an hour or so each day playing clips of what he said the day beforeif you watch private parts, youll see that imus was a bitch to stern, so thats why they have been ripping imus apart
4/11/2007 9:05:55 PM
And Stern has been a bitch to EVERYBODY in radio. But we will use Sterns own totally unbiased movie to explain what happened there.Stupid fucking zombies.
4/11/2007 9:54:01 PM
it's obvious that imus wouldn't use a name like "nappy-headed ho" from day to day, unless he was commenting on how some black people speak about other black people.
4/12/2007 3:28:17 AM
Two interesting comments that tie into my two theories on Why Now It's Time to Get Rid of Imus...
