you can argue this all you want but the fact still remains....you will never be able to dunk.
3/21/2007 4:59:10 PM
i'll bet a few people on here can dunk. i can't, however.
3/21/2007 5:00:28 PM
i can lay it in 1 handed and grab the rim at the end but alot of people don't consider that a real dunk because of how the ball leaves my hand at the rim
3/21/2007 5:25:26 PM
I can throw it down on my 9' goal
3/21/2007 5:26:46 PM
^^ lol, close enough.
3/21/2007 5:27:34 PM
I also went to the Red & White game, and I got a feeling then that McCauley would be a beast. That was pretty right on. Degand also looked very good, I wish he was eligible when Ferguson was.
3/21/2007 5:27:50 PM
i used to be able to dunk, but i'm all out of shape now.

anyone know of the possibilities of putting "State" on our jerseys and "Pack" on the shorts?
3/21/2007 6:37:20 PM
As long as there's no writing on their butts, it's ok with me. It would be really cool to have just STATE on the jerseys though. [Edited on March 21, 2007 at 6:54 PM. Reason : .]
3/21/2007 6:52:24 PM
^^ with all the throwback stuff sidney's trying to get going, i wouldn't be surprised. i doubt it's in the works, though.
3/21/2007 7:38:49 PM
and "PACK" down the sides of the shorts
3/21/2007 8:20:15 PM
not down the sides fool, at the bottom of the left short.like this[Edited on March 21, 2007 at 8:24 PM. Reason : picture]
3/21/2007 8:22:22 PM
I doubt we'd put plain old STATE on our jerseys anymore. Lee Fowler miss an opportunity to brand the NC State name? Never! Though Pack on the shorts would be coolLet's just hope 'Ol Jeb doesn't start selling ad space on the jerseys
3/21/2007 9:04:17 PM
3/21/2007 10:36:35 PM
i honestly half expected a plaid jacket in reynolds. i didn't think it was quite red coat worthy, but a plaid would've been throwback and gone along w/ the whole reynolds theme. sigh, what could've been.
3/21/2007 10:46:53 PM
it's great to honor traditions and appreciate our history, but we need to quit wallowing in the past. let's move forward. not everything about today's program needs to mimic 1974 or 1983. how about establish some of our own traditions? how about owning a chapter that's entirely our own?
3/22/2007 2:43:24 AM
^ bingothe PACK on the pants looks retarded and NC State on the front of the jerseys is good.

3/22/2007 10:20:04 AM
Or how about we focus on the starting fucking five.Statefans says that Grant won't start next year. That is laughable. Not only is he our only senior, but he's also our second leading scorer, second in rebounds, etc. Sure, he makes us all squirm when he gets the ball, but there's no way he won't start next year.
3/22/2007 11:00:47 AM
he just has to learn to not be a dumbass and he'll be all ACCthats asking quite a lot though[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 11:10 AM. Reason : ]
3/22/2007 11:10:23 AM
^^ I agree Grant will start, the only reason he wouldn't is if he's deported, So I'm hoping he gets deported
3/22/2007 11:12:38 AM
You're hoping our #2 scorer and only senior gets deported.Do you WANT us to go to the NIT again?
3/22/2007 11:13:33 AM
... and substitution predictions that Gott will go with... I know even Mark doesn't know yet cause he hasn't seen Abu, the Martins, Lacey, or Brickhouse in action but... just for funPG - LewisG - LaceyG - TurnerF - WashingtonF/C- Anya^THAT, I would think would be the beginning of the season... subbing in Freeman for Washington, Lee or whoever. Maybe Barber will start if he shows up very strong in the first couple game. We'll play a small lineup. Possibilities will be enormous. Wallace has even proved to be a great 8th/9th man next year AND if Gott wants to go DEEP like Roy then Jevoni could buy a minute or two. This is all if scholarships and players hold up too of course.
3/9/2014 8:22:23 PM
Anya needs to have a body-changing offseasion a la Rich Howell from 2011/2012 to 2012/2013. Also just can't see Cat not starting next year, he's young - but Lewis is SUCH a defensive liability... and who knows?!? TJ might stay to bring one home for us next year Otherwise, Im on board with that.
3/10/2014 1:44:29 PM
Hasn't gott seen Lacey for a year now? He's at practice every day right?Wait what? Jevoni is gone, and who replaces Anya at 5 when he's tired? You can't play Washington and Anya at the same time for very long, unless you really think a player rated worse than either of them (Abu) will somehow be better than them as a freshman[Edited on March 10, 2014 at 2:02 PM. Reason : Not sure if serious]
3/10/2014 2:00:53 PM
Need another big man bad who can pound with the heavys. I think freeman can get the job done as backup to Anya, and Washington should be ready to play 30+ minutes with Abu getting some reps as needed. As for Barber, that kid was lighting it up in pre-game as a recruit, hit like 11 in a row from 3 just out there horsing around. I wonder if his work in the weight room has thrown off his shot a bit during this season. If so, and he can get it back with more shot work in the offseason, he would start with lacey, and turner at 3.
3/10/2014 2:13:16 PM
What I expect the starting 5 will be, assuming only Warren leaves and no one transfers:G: BarberG: DezF: TurnerF: WashingtonF: FreemanSubs for each will be:G: LewisG: LaceyF: MartinF: AbuF: AnyaCould see some changes based on offseason work and the new guys being "as good as advertised", but would be surprised to see Abu start over any of our 3 current big men to start the season. Also wouldn't be surprised to see Lewis or Lacey start if Dez or Barber don't impress in the offseason.
3/10/2014 2:29:41 PM
I'd be pretty surprised if both Anya and Washington aren't starters.
3/10/2014 2:49:53 PM
1 - Not TJ Warren2 - Not TJ Warren3 - Not TJ Warren4 - Not TJ Warren5 - Not TJ Warren
3/10/2014 3:13:16 PM
My guess for starting 5:LewisTurnerWashingtonAbuAnya
3/10/2014 3:19:41 PM
lol at cat.WE KNOW HOW THAT PLAYED OUT ALREADY.
3/10/2014 3:22:21 PM
^^not sure how you can predict a freshman to start over rising sophomores, unless the sophomores just aren't good. and anya, washington and freeman are all good. so i seriously doubt abu will start. at least not at the beginning of the season.^freshmen frequently improve. although i think lewis will start over him. i'd think they'd both average about 20 mpg and be used depending on the game situation.
3/10/2014 3:31:40 PM
hell, 90% of you people predicted barber would come in and start over lewis.but yes, they should both play significant roles next season. i would love for barber to actually learn how to shoot and for gott to play them both at the same time.
3/10/2014 3:46:08 PM
our game 1 line up will bePG - LewisSG - LaceySF - TurnerPF - WashingtonC - Anyaat 18:00 of every game the line up will bePG - LewisSG - LaceySF - TurnerF - AbuF - Freemanbecause that back court will be a sieveSave us Jevoni
3/10/2014 4:31:46 PM
3/10/2014 4:37:08 PM
I'm basing my Abu guess on the talk that he's pretty good offensively. Hopefully Freeman and company will improve on that in the offseason though.
3/10/2014 4:38:17 PM
wtf Lacey will be 23 before next season starts? We are going to be a team of middle aged men in two years with Lee already 24.
3/10/2014 4:40:21 PM
One thing I liked about Lewis this season is that we rarely fell into a big hole early with him starting, except for the Clemson game (which wasn't even that bad). I feel like that happened a lot more often when Cat was starting since he didn't manage the offense as well and the rest of the team seemed to panic more when shots weren't falling and he was in.
3/10/2014 4:50:16 PM
abu - rsci 49washington - rsci 99anya - rsci 64while we're at it:martin twin A - 55martin twin B - 87
3/10/2014 5:23:16 PM
^^also cat likes to dribble off his feet and fall down a lot.
3/10/2014 6:19:28 PM
As someone pointed out on PP, Cat did a lot better after he only got 4 mins in that VT game
3/10/2014 7:01:52 PM
I have faith Gott will get some transfers/JuCo players that will get minutes next year. Anyone think Lewis or Barber have any shot of leaving?
3/10/2014 9:16:52 PM
if we get Devonte Graham, Gott will be forced to work him into the lineup
3/10/2014 9:34:19 PM
I concur with tower's starting lineup for first game
3/10/2014 10:14:01 PM
Unless Anya gets himself in much better shape, I think this is what you'll see:Pg - LewisSg- LaceySf- turnerPf- AbuC- Washington
3/10/2014 10:27:54 PM
PG - Lewis - BarberSG- Lacey - LeeSF- Turner - Martin/MartinPF- Abu - FreemanC- Washington - AnyaThink that's what we'll see as well. Only other person I see sneaking into the lineup is Anya at Center if he can lose some substantial weight in the offseason - guy can be a game changer with his size and arm span. Washington/Anya/Freeman I feel like will all work to improve as adding Abu into the mix is going to decrease one of their minutes pretty substantially next year. I haven't seen a ton about the Martins, but from what I've seen they'll be 4 year players who can do a lot of different things on the court and should provide quality depth next season. Lee can spell Lacey at the 2 and could be used as a defensive specialist type guy as we've seen his what his offensive 'contributions' look like this season. No idea what exactly is going to shake out at the PG spot.
3/10/2014 10:42:11 PM
it's clear we won't have a 10-man rotationwe've never seen a consistent 8-man rotationso, who's going to be the odd men out?
3/11/2014 12:08:48 AM
yeah, it's not like 9 guys each got decent minutes most of this season.also, we'll have 11 scholarship players next year, barring transfer and assuming TJ leaves.
