haha duke is not in the UNC System
12/12/2006 1:52:16 PM
the baby blue faggots had teh balls to go to cameron and taunt the duke students. they have pairs. it's the dark blue faggots that need to grow pairs, and respond in a less-bitchy fashion than they have.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 2:08 PM. Reason : ..]

i just dont see how any of you WOLFPACK students/fans/alum can "stand up" for UNC for anything
12/12/2006 1:52:59 PM
eh you can't really have a logical conversation with treetwista, so don't try
12/12/2006 1:53:02 PM
you hear that spooner? Crede knows whats best for you and he knows whats best for UNC and Duke as well]
12/12/2006 1:53:38 PM
I can't follow my own damn advice, either
12/12/2006 1:53:56 PM
as i said, i hate them equally as much, so i'm unbiased.
12/12/2006 1:54:03 PM
well I hate UNC more than Dukeif they are playing a bball game (or football), I will pull for DukeI might not pull for Duke any other time, but Anybody But CarolinaABC should be stronger in some of these nancies like Crede[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 1:55 PM. Reason : .]

i like treetwista though, he has good insights into rap music. yes lawd. apparently, though, his hatred for unc runs deep.^ i dunno, i've had a lot of bad encounters with arrogant duke students (such as one of them telling me, while at wharton for my MBA - "they let state students into wharton??"), that i'm just not a big fan of them either.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 1:57 PM. Just because you hate someone doesnt mean you have to be happy when they get unfairly shit on.
12/12/2006 1:56:40 PM
^ Why not?
12/12/2006 1:57:21 PM
I hate Duke FAR, FAR more than UNC. So I'm biased. But I don't give a shit. The Duke students should have manned up and made the kids lives a living hell at that game to the point they didn't want to come back. Instead they took the whining, complaining way out. Fucking nerds, those Dookies.
12/12/2006 1:57:59 PM
I think it's time for a little:
12/12/2006 1:58:39 PM
The ammount of hours taken isn't even the thing that gets me. The point of free student tickets to the games is to have support for the teams at the games. The behaivor of these UNC students was detrimental to the team and I'm pretty sure there is a clause that any student who is not supporting the team can lose their privIlege to the free tickets...at any school.
12/12/2006 1:58:47 PM
^^^ sure it does. that's what hate is all about.
12/12/2006 1:58:55 PM
12/12/2006 1:59:27 PM
Free athletic tickets is a privilege and thus can be revoked. The behaviour of past Robertson students made the Student Senate revoke that privilege.I don't see what is so "wrong" about this...even if UNC wasn't involved.
12/12/2006 2:00:43 PM
^I can't keep this up. You don't tell kids they are Duke students and then tell them they can only have some of the priveledges of Duke students. There's not supposed to be a "line". That's against the whole point of the program.
12/12/2006 2:03:54 PM
^^I don't think there's anything illegal about it, but it's a bitch move.OMG, there are Chapel Hill fans out our camp-out!!! I mean, was it a public safety issue or something? Were fights breaking out?Unsurprising bitch move from Duke.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 2:07 PM. Reason : ]

12/12/2006 2:07:23 PM
This just confirms the idea that Duke students are a bunch of whiney New Jersey brats.
12/12/2006 2:08:23 PM
^ it's more than just an "idea"....
12/12/2006 2:10:01 PM
12/12/2006 2:14:14 PM
If we had a similar arrangement I would totally expect our school to implement a similar decree. And if they didn't I'd be pissed. It's not like you are denying them access to the games. They can still get tickets in the general allotment. They just can't campout because of previous students behaviour.
12/12/2006 2:15:23 PM
It's like the no bonfire policy at State.
12/12/2006 2:17:24 PM
^ not really. i mean, the bonfires posed at least the potential of physical danger. carolina fans pose no such problem.

12/12/2006 2:34:33 PM
If they are UNC fans they need to go sit in the student section at the unc home games and leave cameron alone (unless they are going to cheer for duke).V you can try if you want (sit in the student section) but if somebody doesn't let you then you have no grounds to cry about it.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 2:59 PM. Reason : V not in the "student section". ][Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:00 PM. Reason : for free]
12/12/2006 2:55:10 PM
So you're saying I shouldn't be allowed to go to Joel and cheer for State?
12/12/2006 2:56:52 PM
yeah, i guess the visiting team's fans should never dare enter the home team's arena. hahaha, so those times i went to kenan to watch us play unc (and got in with student tickets), i was morally out of line. ahh well!

I agree with TreeTwista
12/12/2006 3:11:17 PM
^Thank you. Are Duke students bitches? Absofuckinlutely. Is this the right thing to do? Absofuckinlutely.
12/12/2006 3:12:47 PM
that would be all cool if they hadn't entered into an agreement with the robertson scholars.
12/12/2006 3:14:59 PM
^Please, please please show me this agreement that you claim to know so much about. The one that says their free students ticket rights are any less revocable than any other Duke student's. Because that would really help your argument. It's easy to reference a document you know nothing about and use it to support your point.Example: The Magna Carta fully supports the Duke student senate's decision.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:20 PM. Reason : .]
12/12/2006 3:19:13 PM
well. a good friend of mine was a robertson scholar. i'll ask her. as far as she described it, you become an enrolled full-fledged duke student the semesters that you are taking classes at duke.and as i mentioned before, it'd be all cool for them to revoke the ticket rights of those individuals who apparently caused a problem at the last game (if this is indeed true). but it is NOT alright for them to deny ticket rights to all of robertson scholars just because a handful of them caused trouble. this would be like not allowing any out-of-state students at ncsu not have tickets because a handful caused a ruckus at one game.
12/12/2006 3:24:02 PM
From the article
12/12/2006 3:26:40 PM
Student tickets are a privilege. Let's say fraternity X gets a block of free tickets, and some of their members cause a problem at a big game. Would you say it's right for them to prohibit that frat from getting those tickets?
12/12/2006 3:31:02 PM
it's not the same situation at all and you know it.
12/12/2006 3:32:25 PM
Instead of the unc students ruining the duke students' time, the duke students should have been the ones causing the unc/robertson scholars to have a terrible time. Obviously had duke won the game then their outlook on this topic may have been different but the duke students should have been giving those faggots as much hell as they possibly could.
12/12/2006 3:33:43 PM
If they had never even been to the arena before, yeah i would oppose banning them. Future fraternity members should not suffer from past fraternity members actions just like future robertson scholars should not suffer from the actions of past robertson scholars.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:38 PM. ^^ amen. good gracious. amen. look, i work with one of the robertson guys who did this last year. i'm sure they were loud and annoying, but i doubt they did anything out of line. this dude that works with me is completely harmless. so it sounds ot me like the game was "ruined" for these dook kids by the team losing, not by some carolina fans.[Edited on December 12, 2006 at 3:38 PM.
