wow, you know how to copy and paste on a computer, you should work for espn
12/12/2006 10:26:50 PM
Thank God AI didn't go to Charlotte. There is no hope for him to win a championship there. The best bet in my mind is either the Clippers or Minnesota.
12/12/2006 10:46:57 PM
Chicago could use him
12/12/2006 10:48:37 PM
If you think Chicago had a problem with Ben Wallace and the headband, wait til AI shows up there.
12/12/2006 10:50:40 PM
That was pretty gay, I mean Ben Wallace is a headband.
12/12/2006 10:52:09 PM
good thing they didnt bench Dennis Rodman every time his hair wasnt his natural colo
12/12/2006 11:01:31 PM
denver for Nene and JR Smith?
12/13/2006 1:48:25 AM
Payton is in the top 15 pgs ever. Iverson is probably the best player under 6 foot to play in the NBA. (yes, I'm including Isiah Thomas) They can definitely be compared. Except Payton was a really good defender, while Iverson can't guard plant-life.
12/13/2006 1:50:07 AM
Denver doesnt need anymore guards really...his best FIT would be in Charlotte...Chicago could use himI still think though that the Clippers or Indiana would be a better playoff oriented team with himespecially the Clippers and I think thats where he will end up.
12/13/2006 7:18:38 AM
Denver DOES need a guard. That is what they have coveted for the last couple years. JR Smith will work for now, but the 2 gaurd is the spot they need the most improvement.
12/13/2006 7:43:47 AM
If Indiana tries to trade for Iverson, I'm sure they would try to give off Stephen Jackson on them.
12/13/2006 9:52:33 AM
I hope he finds a home in Indiana, Im pretty sure it would be something like Stephen Jackson and Jamaal Tinsley for Iverson
12/13/2006 10:00:58 AM
it would be great if he and kg were on the same team in minnesota... id actually watch their games then.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/061213terrific article about Iverson for all the hatersexcerpt:
12/13/2006 4:04:45 PM
yeah honestly on my way to my exam last night i was thinking about it and i was like yeah you kinda can compare them pretty goodidk i mean right now though, payton sucks and iverson is good[Edited on December 13, 2006 at 4:06 PM. Reason : .]
12/13/2006 4:06:24 PM
^^Question whatever you want to about AI and his off court behavior, his friends, his run-ins with the lawBut ON the court, the dude is just sick^my main comparison was the "had a chance to win a title in their prime, didnt win, probably wont win now" argument...which I still could compare to Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Payton, Ewing, etc[Edited on December 13, 2006 at 4:08 PM. Reason : .]
12/13/2006 4:06:51 PM
if he had been traded to the bobcats i would start following them and basketball in generali wouldve even bought a shirtafter them drafting may and felton and okafor this wouldve put them over the top for me
12/13/2006 4:12:17 PM
so you are saying iverson is gonna whore himself out like payton did with la and then the heat?
12/13/2006 4:12:24 PM
^maybe...i think he probably will if he really starts to physically decline like payton...DUE TO AGE..but for now i think he still has the skills to team up with a Garnett or somebody and make it happenhell, T-Mac is out indefinitely with back spasms...AI and Yao??
12/13/2006 4:14:03 PM
houston doesnt have anything to offer for iverson.the problem is the people who have stuff to offer (GS, Boston) are hesistant to give up the goods (Ellis, Biedrins, Jefferson, Green)and the teams that desperately want iverson like minnesota and indiana really have nothing to offer.the team that has something to offer and would give it up (charlotte) iverson doesnt want to play for.So this thing is gonna drag on for awhile i think. The 76ers have nothing to lose by holding onto him for awhile this season. It just positions them better for a shot at Greg Oden. Also it allows teams to figure out where they are in the standings and see that they need another piece to really contend.Denver for Nene/Jr Smith makes the most sense to me but i REALLY hope it doesnt happen as ive got Camby, Carmelo, and Andre Miller on my fantasy team. That trade would cost me a shitload of cash.
12/13/2006 4:32:26 PM
12/13/2006 4:34:52 PM
^I hope you're kidding. Iverson for McGrady would be a shitty trade for the Rockets
12/13/2006 4:46:33 PM
12/13/2006 4:48:00 PM
How could the Nuggets even consider trading Camby?
12/13/2006 5:02:26 PM
12/13/2006 5:04:06 PM
^^I dont think it would.
12/13/2006 5:04:53 PM
^^ That is the TRUTHthank you for typing that out
12/13/2006 5:57:27 PM
TMAC>AIit would be a shitty trade for the Rockets, especially when talking about working with Yao. Iverson is not the "PG" the Rockets need. Besides the Rockets have been built around Yao AND Tmac.Though watching the best little guy play with the best big guy would be pretty fun to watch.
12/13/2006 6:06:31 PM
It's officialIverson to Warriors
12/13/2006 6:21:19 PM
12/13/2006 6:28:22 PM
^^ yeah so I was just kidding, I'd have provided a link did get this to work on ESPN though
12/13/2006 6:56:29 PM
miami is supposedly a dark horse candidate for AI
12/13/2006 7:04:58 PM
good dwade needs someone better than shaq to get it done
12/13/2006 7:05:59 PM
multi team trade sending iverson to sacramento, clips losing maggette and livingston, etc. is in the forefront."dark horse" is miami according to smith, jason williams, posey and antoine walker possibly on the move. that is what i want to happen...i'd like to see what happens with AI, Shaq, and D Wade trying to balance each other. [Edited on December 13, 2006 at 7:07 PM. Reason : ^^beat me to it]
12/13/2006 7:06:30 PM
i got a successful trade on that ESPN thing when i did iverson for morrison and knight
12/13/2006 7:09:51 PM
You'd get a successful trade for pretty much anyone involving Charlotte, it's been explained at least twice in this thread
12/13/2006 7:11:12 PM
If Magette and Livingston is on the table then I think Philly should do that deal.If Baron Davis and Biedrins is on the table then Philly should do that deal. That is a disastrous trade for Golden State. I know they would like to get rid of Baron Davis for someone who isnt such a ballhog, injury prone, and saddled with a bad contract but to give away a guy on the verge of becoming a premeire center who is only 20 years old is a huge mistake.Chris Mullin is a complete idiot. The Dunleavy & Murphy extensions crippled this team already. Why are you going to move your most valuable asset (Biedrins or Monta Ellis) now?
12/13/2006 7:18:39 PM
12/13/2006 7:54:02 PM
lol
12/13/2006 7:56:40 PM
^^supposedly they want to move Posey anyway.I'm kinda a fan of the Heat, but I just don't know how things would work there with all that talent on that team. Can AI thrive with at least two bonified All-Stars on the court with him at the same time (see '04 Olympics)?[Edited on December 13, 2006 at 8:08 PM. Reason : .]
12/13/2006 8:00:05 PM
^^ If philly does that deal they are insane.Walker has been egregious this season.Williams is battling knee injuries and his career may be drawing to a close if he cant overcome them.Posey is a solid role player.Thats not three quarters for a dollar thats three nickels for a dollar.
12/13/2006 8:00:12 PM
well, philly would get what they wantwhich apparently is just getting iverson the hell outta therehow a player the quality of iverson still hasn't found a home yet behooves me
12/14/2006 2:14:44 AM
Yeah, he is good but I think he probably wants to go somewhere where he can get a championship. All of the championship caliber teams either don't have the cap room or don't want to deal with his crap.
12/14/2006 12:45:02 PM
Is Wayne Brady TreeTwista gonna have to choke a bitch sign Webber to my fantasy team until AI gets traded?]
12/14/2006 12:51:24 PM
Yeah, probably so.
12/14/2006 12:54:46 PM
Luther Head is a nice pickup since MacGrady is outand Damien Wilkins has been decent starting for the injured Ray AllenFBFYI
