Lewandowski is actually a really funny dude and is very kind if you talk to him.

That vid of Hickson was great, seems like a good all around player. Sid is doin it and doin it and doin it well.
2/2/2007 3:36:08 PM
what the hell are we going to do next year with all these power forwardsStarting Lineup:C - McCauley / Hickson / PF - Hickson / Costner / SmithSF - Grant / CostnerSG - Fells / GrantPG - ??????
2/2/2007 3:56:36 PM
a) Move Costner back to the 3.b) Use subs.Farnold Degand will be our point guard, as will Johnson after 1st semester.[Edited on February 2, 2007 at 3:59 PM. Reason : .]
2/2/2007 3:58:48 PM
^^the chance of all of these recruits panning out (especially early on) is small.
2/2/2007 4:02:42 PM
^^^ it allows A LOT more versatility in our offense. we can go big, bigger, small (ish), just by rotating the guys in. not many teams would match up with mccauley/hickson at C, smith/hickson at PF, Costner at SF, grant/fells at SG. that'd be damn near an NBA size lineup.
2/2/2007 4:16:08 PM
we need a sick point guard[Edited on February 2, 2007 at 4:18 PM. Reason : we should recruit steve nash]
2/2/2007 4:18:10 PM
We really should have broke the bank for OJ Mayo. I'm not sure if we have the funds to match what SC is paying him though.. they have a revenue machine in football so they can afford to give their players larger bonuses I'm sure.If we really want to compete with UNC and Duke we need to commit more $$$ to the incoming players for real though..[Edited on February 2, 2007 at 4:21 PM. you would have to be a fool to choose NCSU over USC
2/2/2007 4:23:24 PM
In basketball, I think not.
2/2/2007 4:32:27 PM
im thinking purely CA vs NC in terms overall quality of life
2/2/2007 4:34:51 PM
What makes you think there is consensus that LA is higher quality of life than Raleigh? Or that this "quality of life" outweighs ACC hoops for a serious basketball player?
2/2/2007 4:40:02 PM
^ believe it or not, more goes into these decisions than quality of location. although probably not so much in mayo's case, as he's planning on heading out in a year regardless.and
2/2/2007 4:42:07 PM
^Correct on that first part. An old friend of mine chose to play at Clemson over Stanford because he wanted to stay closer to his family.

We need a Point Guard, clap clap clap. We need a Point Guard.
2/27/2007 9:26:23 AM
you just realized this?I knew this 6 years ago

I think Degand and/or Johnson should be able to run the point or 2 guard for us. Jai Lucas would be a great get, but I don't see it happening unless Grant is deported or someone transfers (scholarships). One question: have we allocated Brackman's scholarship yet (assuming he is gone)?[Edited on February 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM. I didn't think Marques could play considering the transfer from Tenn. Am I wrong?
2/27/2007 10:24:03 AM
Since he transferred prior to the start of the spring semester, he will be able to play at the conclusion of the fall semester next year, b/c that will be one full year he has to sit out.C - McCauley, Hickson, LewandowskiPF - Costner, SmithSF - Grant, Horner, ThomasSG - Fells, FergusonPG - Degand, JohnsonThat's 12 scholarship players. Did I miss any of the scholarship players that we'll have next year?
2/27/2007 10:34:13 AM
he transferred in the spring.. so he won't be able to play until december commencement..
2/27/2007 10:37:00 AM
hey lookthere is an echo in here
2/27/2007 10:38:35 AM
Until some major strides are made, Fergy and Horner will be on the bench next season. It might not be wise to assume the incoming freshman will play over them, but by January 1, I believe Smith and Thomas will be top reserves, and obviously Hickson will be in the regular rotation
2/27/2007 11:01:52 AM
Fells will need to step up his consistency and ball handling
2/27/2007 12:59:17 PM
freshman PGs make me Grant at PG makes me
2/27/2007 1:02:00 PM
^^ and defensemarques and Degand will have had a season's worth of practices with our point guard laden staff before they hit the court, they'll be ok if not pretty damn good[Edited on February 27, 2007 at 1:05 PM. Reason : duh]
2/27/2007 1:02:40 PM

having only 3 recruits is what's keeping us out of the top ten I think.
2/27/2007 1:17:52 PM
Duke's only got 3, and G-town at #11 only has 3. I think that our 3* Johnny Thomas is what is keeping us out of the top 10. Not that I am complaining, because this was a hell of a recruiting class put together by Sid. I'll take top 20 recruiting class any year!!! (as should all, well some of you are not within reality, so I will say 'most' of you)[Edited on February 27, 2007 at 1:44 PM. Reason : I]
2/27/2007 1:43:30 PM
Eh, recruiting rankings are nice and all but we've had a pretty fair amount of Top 25 classes the last decade and it hasn't translated to more than a single short Sweet 16 appearance. It matters more how you develop them and coach them. And if any of you fucks turn this into a gay coaching argument you should be suspended...
2/27/2007 1:46:49 PM
^zip it.srsly.
2/27/2007 1:50:07 PM
I'm just saying that if you don't have a top 20 class you are most likely screwed in this conference, unless you find some hidden gems. Also your comment about how it's not the ranking of the player, but how you develop/coach them, i agree with that. As for the suspending comment, think about what you are saying, and apply the last decade of recruits to the coach. You made my point for me.[Edited on February 27, 2007 at 2:00 PM. Reason : .]

We're going to take one more in this class. Mark that down. The chance of everyone staying around after next year is very slim, and the coaches are actively recruiting several true PGs.
2/27/2007 4:33:55 PM
^^ He would have to gain like 80 lbs.

Lewandowski needs way more than just added poundage, I'm afraid
