^guy at the game tonight said there were recruiting violations (on other players) at Iowa State that lead to their coach being fired. If your coach is fired for that reason, you're allowed to transfer anywhere without penalty. Problem is that it will be too late by the time they convict his old coach of anything. Also, his coach was fired for that reason, and the kid red-shirted under that same coach. NCAA could potentially show sympathy since he will only get 3 years of eligibility after basically wasting his redshirt year under a shitty coach. First scenario is more likely, but it probably wont happen in time.

So who else still feels that, for the first time in FOREVER, the sky's the limit?

Yeah the sky's the limit....we might win 12 games this year. Now if Chuck was gone instead of Herb.....

I think that our basketball team will be easier for me to watch this year. I'll miss being good/decent, but for once I'll be able to sit down and watch a game without wondering, "Will our team blow a lead to an inferior squad and give another game away?" The losses won't seem as bad this year because there will be many games we are expected to lose, and fewer chances to blow games we shouldn't. Lowe expectations.[Edited on October 26, 2006 at 11:18 AM. Reason : ]

OMGnames are back on the jerseys!!!!Pack Pride - 1Herb - 0

So do we have ANY realistic chance of playing past the ACC tournament play-in round?V packpride is absolutely still infatuated with anything to do with the Valvano era. Herb was trying to ruin that according to them. So they wanted it changed. I'm not even joking.[Edited on October 26, 2006 at 11:31 AM. Reason : x]

I really like the new jersies......more classic looking imo, and the shorts are actually shorts, not capri pants like last year [Edited on October 26, 2006 at 11:46 AM. Reason : asdf]

i hate the jerseys they wore last night, the numbers were just above their ass and their names were in the middle of their back, it looked like somebody had just stretched the back of their jerseys out

Regarding Degand's situation, when is the potiential "sympathy" from the NCAA supposed to be decided?
10/26/2006 12:34:17 PM
I think those jerseys are just interim until the regular season starts, stop complaining about them...Also, I guess costner's the next great # 33 for the wolfpack, does he jump to the nba this year or next? haha.
10/26/2006 12:45:37 PM
Its a red-white game and to me has no bearing on the season. This team won't be beaten by a lack of talent, it'll be beaten by a lack of chemistry. If everyone gells and starts to play their asses off then we'll be fine.

how awesome would it be if we went back to these jerseys, or a somewhat modernized equivalent - and put 'PACK' back on the shorts[Edited on October 26, 2006 at 3:53 PM. Reason : ]
